Gym was jumpin today. Cousins Mikeās grandson (my 3rd cousin?) and a couple of team mates from the High School wrestling team were doing squats. Grandson Kyle, 16 turns 17 in April, wrestles in the 182 class. First time to get 4 plates on a legit squat. I mean real legit cause Mike was calling depth and he went below parallel. Whole gym was yelling for him. Good times.
On a totally different subject, 48 years ago today I reported to Lackland AFB to begin my military career. Damn does time fly.

Really nice day, gonna be the last for a while. Had some home chores to do so did a 2mile run after lunch.
One of the brothers gave us a couple of gift cards to Texas de Brazil so wife and I went to eat there for the first time last night. Interesting place and really can eat all you want. Outstanding salad bar and they bring the different meats to your table as long as you want more. I of course made a pig of myself.

Those all you can eat Brazilian steakhouses are great. It is easy to go overboard though. Forget Thanksgiving for belt stretching, eating at one of those is easiest the most I have ever been uncomfortably full.

Timing is everything. Took some groceries to my mother today. Getting ready to leave and head to the gym, hit the basement WC, went to wash my hands, faucet handle pops ou, water going everywhere. Reach under to turn of the water, barely touch the trap and it snaps off. Only 50 + years old. She never uses it down there anymore. Head out to Lowes with Mom in tow. Must of only looked at 20 or more til she pick one. Bought the faucet and a new trap and head back to fix it. Got it done in a few hours. Got a good lunch out of it. Straight to the gym tomorrow.

Yesterday was suppose to be the lift day and swim today. Decisions, decisions. Never been a big fan of high rep DLs but going to try it awhile.
Itās really weird getting doctors to listen to you. They seem interested in everything except the one thing thatās bothering me.
Must of been Wednesday morning, woke up, felt weak as hell. Got up for a few minutes, then back to bed and slept 4 more hours which is unheard of for me. Chest felt a little heavy every now and then breathing. No fever, stuffy nose, coughing, still could smell. Next couple of days slept 13 hours minus a couple of bathroom visits each night. Still felt weak. Wife applied liberal amounts of Filipino penicillin, Vicks, went to the sauna late so no one else would be there and had a real good sweat, couple of whiskeyās with honey and lemon juice. Felt better today and after lunch managed to run a mile. First time Iāve been sick for a long time. Up side is best sleep Iāve had in years. Hopefully be back to the gym tomorrow. Annnndā¦they opened the PI! Waiting a week to see if it stays that way and then booking flights.

Felt good but decided to take it easy and do a lot of reps. Hit the gym early and did a real slow 5 mile bike after lunch. Wifeās giving me so much orange juice I think sheās gonna use an IV to get it in me next. She cooked up a huge pot of Pork Sinigang (has the medical power of chicken soup). After lunch and the bike ride fell asleep for 2 hours. This sickness has a plus side. Sippin on a whiskey, honey and lemon juice, for medicinal purposes, right now. Might even go to before midnight again.

As long as they donāt name any moves after me. When they finished the house I had built there I jokingly said, in Tagalog, I was going to call it Love Manor based on my name and the big L the put on the front. Unfortunately that comes out as House of Love, slang for Whore House. I can imagine what āLove Pressā or āLove Pushā would come to mean.
Back to the cement pond for a nice an easy 45 min swim followed by a 1.5 mile run. Whatever I had seems to be gone. Gonna miss all the sleep.
Yeah, I know what you mean. Had a really nasty case of flu couple years ago and after it was over had a couple nights of the most delicious sleep. Really miss it.
