Not surprising you made record lifts, and I agree WTF about the guy you described.

I can do those weights (deadlift on a great day) and I’m beond the 65-69 class. I can straight bar squat up to about 250 in pain.

Threw the bike in the bed of my truck and headed into town. Indoor swim, 2 mile run, 6 mile bike, one after the other. Did dry off and change clothes between swim and run.

The new variant caused the government to knee jerk again and up the quaranteen days to 5 again. When going to the Philippines you must have at least 6 months left on your passport passed your departure date. Mines near that depending when we go so just sent in to renew it. Hopefully when I get it back, 8-12 weeks, they’ll be opened up and we can go.

In a hurry today so dropped a few lifts. Got a call and had to run off to a “luncheon engagement”. Found some pix of early 20th century weightlifting equipment on another lifting site. Think it said there was a whole line made by a Swedish doctor. Got a kinda steampunk vibe about them. Said they even


had the equipment in the gym of the Titanic.

Swim, 45 min. Threw in 200m of breaststroke. 2mile run with 20# vest. Evening 7 mile biike ride. Such a beautiful day, 70f/21c in December. Haven’t ran with the weighted vest in a few weeks so threw it on. Weight doesn’t bother me at all but just can’t get the thing adjusted right. Either too tight and it rubs everywhere wrong or too lose and it bounces too much. May have to take the drastic step of actually buying a new good one and stop “borrowing” the gyms. Had to throw this picture in. They finally started vaccinating the younguns in the Philippines. Got this picture of one of my 6 year old great-nephews getting his shot. I call it “Trust, Not!”

Latest typhoon rolled through central Philipiines a couple of days ago. Hit the middle islands, the Visyas and Negros Occidental where my wife’s family is originally from. Knocked out all communications at some of her cousin’s area until today. She finally got to talk to them tonight and everyones all right.
