HOLY BALLS I am out of shape. 9-10rep squats almost had me laying on my back… I sucked more air than an offshore wind farm today.

Nice MPs! I see what you did there with the hat, but that looks so much cooler on you (a guy) than it would on me (not a guy). I also love the post-grinding-rep meeting you have with the bar. I do the same, talk some sense into that bizzo for next time.

Congrats on a squat PR! I like your yearly set up, my vision typically ends after about a month or two. And just sayin, I think I speak for all the ladies of T-Nation that we wouldn’t be upset for the black singlet to randomly turn up even if there’s no meet for a while.

First off, my singlet is BLUE, get it right! I heard blue singlets were extra slimming.

The yearly plan is a new one for me. Basically I have a lot of goals I want to accomplish in the long run and I think I’ll get them all done sooner if I attack each one 100% for a few months at a time instead of doing all at once year-round. Also, switching up styles/goals every few helps to keep it fresh.

The guy told me he wasn’t allowed to tell me the results until it goes through the appropriate channels (his doctors, then mine). Then he gave me this list of things I have to do on the day of my next sleep study IF it turns out I have apnea… and I sorta feel like he wouldn’t have wasted his time going into detail if he didn’t think I’d be coming back. Plus he also told me my sleep quality was higher on my side than my back. So I’m thinking something was up. Should know next week.

Be grateful. Down in GA most of friends came back from Thanksgiving with speeding tickets. I’m pretty sure that a third of the campus got ticketed lol.

Posting yesterday’s workout. It was pretty bad… something about that gym fucks w/ my head, plus I hate lifting in the morning with no food in me. Also the layoff after PL comp is hurting me, I do crappy when I don’t lift heavy for more than a couple days. Excuses, excuses I know. Sucky workout but at least I made it out once while home.

However, I noticed that on the board in the gym, one of the dudes on their powerlifting team totalled fucking 2080 in some USAPL meet. Something like 820 squat, 675 DL and 625 bench. DAYUM. Had no idea my home gym was representing. Wasted so much time in high school!

5/3/1 Week 2, Day 1 (OHP)

Funny story, I was walking down the hall at work when this woman comes around the corner, looks at me, literally jumps up in the air and SHRIEKS because I terrified her (weird because my walk is NOT silent). Lady, I know I haven’t shaved in a few days, but my mom told me the scruffy look was distinguished on me! I swear! I’m not trying to hurt anyone!!

OHP’in only 2 days after bench, tryin to make up time since I’m a few days behind in my split. Triceps were a bit sore but I think my strength was there.

Hahaha that cracked me up. I’ve ripped like 4 pairs of boxers squatting and it’s never stopped me!

Got my sleep study results back. “Mild Obstructive Sleep Apnea”, with 6 events per hour. “Moderate to severe snoring and significant sleep disordered breathing with recurrent arousals and sleep fragmentation” (note: I think “arousals” meant waking up, you pervs!)

Suggestions:
-Weight loss (I was fatigued at 180 just like I am at 225, plus, I don’t want to be a skinny bitch again). No go.
-Avoidance of alcohol - Um, no go. I’ll lower my consumption but I’m not stopping completely.
-Treatment of nasal congestion if present - I have congestion every single morning I wake up. Maybe fixing this will solve my problems. Will follow up.
-If conditions persist, consider full night CPAP calibration study - In other words, if fixing my congestion doesn’t help, I’m getting my nighttime Darth Vader mask.

Sounds all good, like I can finally fix my fatigue. But I can’t get over one thing - how does “Mild Obstructive Sleep Apnea” lead to “significant sleep disordered breathing”? To me that means something on top of apnea is also messing with my sleep. I hope I am wrong and apnea is the sole culprit.

Also - awake heart rate was 58, sleeping heart rate was 64. What the fuck?
