It seems though all mixed nuts are glorified but the peanut. In most articles read, it always has some kind of a disclaimer to avoid, for whatever reason.
However
Raw peanuts have actually a really good fatty acid breakdown compared to most nuts. They have much more polyunsaturates then almonds, pecans, macadamias… etc.
I think the one thing to be leary about is that most peanuts are dry coated in some maltodex filler shit or cooked in soybean oil. But truth be told, raw peanuts seem to be one of the healthiest options, not one of the worst.
True, peanuts contain lots of polyunsaturated fats. But they are mostly Omega 6. A healthy Omega 3 to Omega 6 ratio is what most are shooting for.
That said, peanuts taste good. Peanut butter tastes amazing. Lots of calories. My bulking wouldn’t be the same without it. What do I do about the low amount of Omega 3’s in peanut butter? Supplement with Omega 3.
