As other have said, give it some time dude. 3 month’s hasn’t even scratched the surface.

I myself am nowhere near my goals and I’ve been doing this for going on almost 3 years.

It’s a process. Fall in love with progress first. I’m still learning that.

Katharine, to start off keep everyhting the same but add this on one of your off days…

After a month or two evaluate, and if want to really kick it up a gear try this (fine to do one on/one off or spread out over 2 weeks)…

if want less intense do this…

This is the program my wife is running and is really enjoying it. Nice quick workouts, but hits all the right places. She has recently started adding in barbell squats a few days a week on top of the program.

Lots of great info in this thread. If you feel you are gaining fat, decreasing the cals wouldn’t be the end of the world. I diet down on 2000-2200cals and I’m 215lbs at the moment. I’m also not very carb tolerant, so I like to keep carbs on the lower end (<150g). You could even try reducing your carbs a bit and replacing those cals with protein while maintaining your overall cal consumption to see how that works for you.

The iron game is a long one, and you just have to experiment and figure out what works best for your body! Good luck.
