No Benefit from Drinking Water

They did some studies in australia and they came up with the same results, how every they did state that people that live in hot climates or lead a active lifesyle should drink more what then what they have listed.

They also stated that the average person get 20 percent of there water intake from food, i found that really interesting

Well yeah hot climates/ exercise = increased sweating so a greater water intake is required to replace that lost through sweating.

Yeah and I would say 20% is probably about right for exercising poeple, but it’s probably more like 30-40% in the general population.

Back to the topic, drinking too much water can have health implications, such as water intoxication (hyponatraemia), which can in severe cases lead to death. This has been seen in a number of ultraendurance athletes, who sweat fairly large amounts and replace their sweat losses with plain water, thus reducing blood sodium levels, which can be fatal. It’s also been observed in an indiviual who died from drinking a large volume of plain water and attempted to hold it in for as long as possible in a radio station competition titled “Wee for a Wii”,
