NK Nuclear Program Continues

Quite. Interesting to see we are returning to African colonisation from a major power.

Russia is doing its historical standard in the ME.

Russian soldiers in the Middle East, in uniform, in an official capacity? This didn’t happen even during the Khrushchev’s expansionist African policies in the early 1960ies.

Besides Syria, you’ve got Russian soldiers on a colonizing mission in the Central African Republic, fighting in Libya and in a challenge to the Monroe doctrine, supporting Maduro on the ground in Venezuela. They are taking advantage of a weak/friendly POTUS. Also:

I was going back the Tsarist great game era. Probably should have clarified that.

That was one that I found quite frightening, I must be honest.

Ok, but the supposed invasion of the Raj by camel riding cossacks through the steppes of Central Asia was more a product of Victorian feverish imagination than a possibility.

Paradoxically, Russian global reach is now bigger than ever, and all that for peanuts.

Uniformed Russian troops in one of the Americas? Even Khrushchev didn’t have the balls for that and decreed that all Soviets on Cuba must wear civilian clothes as not to provoke the Americans.

Point taken.

Yes indeed, it’s rather incredible how fast the hyper power has gone on the back foot.

Maybe if Continental Europe would be involved in the world, other than navel gazing and bitching about/ hindering Trump, Russia wouldn’t have so much ability to create chaos.

But tell me how America is duped, weak, whatever again. The lolz never get old.

Luckily for you, you have Fox News to tell you what Europe is doing. Sadly, I have to rely on being literate in a few of those languages and knowing people who lived or still live over there to know what’s going on. I wish I had it as easy as you. Life is so much better when you’re spoon fed opinions that you already agree with.

It’s funny how Trumpkins get triggered by supposed anti-american speech when their celebrity troll in chief ran on a platform that whined about how we appeared weak to the rest of the world and were letting other countries walk all over us. The very concept of maga implies that we are not a great country. But that isn’t anti-american or unpatriotic. Gore Vidal was right about this country.

Some pretty intense whataboutism considering we’re bleeding global presence with spending INCREASES.

I’m all for bleeding global presence, as I hate America’s shitty nation building, but you’d think it would come with cost savings.

Navel gazing? Trump and Steve Bannon have repeatedly publicly stated that they want to break up the EU and the Trump administration have taken numerous steps in that regard. Repeated Trump ambassador appointees, including the infamous Gordon Sondland flatly stated that their mission is to “break up the EU”

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-06-07/germany-dials-back-outrage-over-comments-by-trump-envoy-grenell

President Donald Trump’s new envoy to Germany expressed regret over the reaction to his pledge to “empower” European conservative groups, smoothing over the comments in a meeting with the country’s Foreign Ministry.

Some degree of navel gazing is necessary when the President of your erstwhile ally is actively trying to dismantle European postwar order and do Putin’s bidding.

Is the EU’s task to stop Russian troops deploying to Venezuela? Remind me, whose decision was to hand out on a platter military bases in Syria?

What???

You REALLY have to explain this one to me, @treco

So…it’s Europe’s fault that Putin is creating so much worldwide chaos (including the U.S.)…because Europe is somehow preventing Trump from doing his job???

I am all ears on this one.

Not sure there’s a military crisis out there that French involvement would improve (hopefully it hasn’t become passé to take digs at France).

The counter to Russian chaos is NATO, which Trump frequently seeks to undermine.

Also want to add that I think Turkey’s adoption Russian missile systems is a betrayal and speaks volumes about what little regard Erdogan has for the US under Trump. It’s a shame Trump doesn’t have the spine to push for Turkey’s removal from NATO.

Yes, it seems Turkey has moved to ally itself with Russia & China. Is it a problem that Russia also backs Iran which is at odds with Turkey’s goals? Or save it for another thread?

Actually, the French have their own Afghanistan - Mali, where they’ve been very waging war against ISIS for the last 6 years. The country was basically on the verge of being overrun by ISIS affiliates before French troops (on US cargo planes) were flown into the capital to launch a counteroffensive.

Despite the stereotypes, the French (ongoing) intervention in Mali has proven to be very successful.

Ok getting back to the Chinese. So there have been some minor Muslim attacks and the Chinese response is to round up a whole population and put them in concentration camps. So what will they do if someone doesn’t like them in Pakistan or Afghanistan or Djibouti? Will they start rounding up civilians in these countries? Like the British did to the Boers?

Who says there were Muslim attacks? China?

Anti Trump drones.

Show me how well Europe has defended itself against either Russia or the ‘quiet’ Muslim invasion.

You can start with Germany - the heart of the EU. Google their current military readiness, look at their importation of foreigners, actual troop deployments into hot zones over decades, willingness to aid a known terrorist state of Iran while obfuscating US blockaides, failure to live up to NATO commitments.

You stupid asses think l just post comments that l have no knowledge, to get you going? No, the truth is you hate both America and Trump, no matter what l post you feel like you have to say nuh uh, hate america, trumpkin, other drivel.

Trump has put more heat on Russia, China, N Korea, and extremist lslam than all presidents before him. Do a minute of research. But he has also tried to form dialogue. Something you low level spuds are too dumb to comprehend must happen unless we solve all differences by war.

I stand by my statement. Europe has hidden behind America’s skirt for 70 years while turning itself into a comfy commune of free healthcare, long vacations, and early retirement. Enjoy your coming subjugation.

It’s the EU’s business to setup it’s own defense against Russia.

Think NATO would last over a week against Russia, if US was not there?
Or there will be any energy, if they turn off the spigot.

We can’t police Venezuela like we need to carrying your weak ass countries.

Saudi Arabia is a known terrorist state and perpetrators of 9/11 yet Trump is taking their side every time.

By letting Russians have those bases in Syria? Or repating Putin’s talking points verbatim in public? Thanks to Trump and the GOP Russian propaganda in the US went from obscure communist zines four decades ago to a permanent fixture in mainstream political discourse.

Ever heard of a certain Ronald Reagan? I’m pretty sure he was President or something like that.

Fawning over Putin and Kim is not “dialogue”. Tell me, does Kimd still have nukes?

This is pretty deranged even for a Trumper. You somehow think that these “long vacations” and “free healthcare” are somehow on America’s expense?

Is this what they’ve been telling you on FOX? Did someone receive a hefty medical bill and is now trying to rationalize it as fault of the “socialists”?

1/3 of all combat deaths in Afghanistans were Europeans and Canadians. I know these facts upset cowards, draft dodgers and Russia apologists.

Dude, your President believes anything Putin says. Guess who’s being subjugated.

English is not my first language and I’m having trouble understanding this sentence. Let me guess - I suppose Soros and Open borders Democrats are somehow responsible for uniformed Russian soldiers in Venezuela, something the Soviet Union didn’t have the balls to do during the Cold War.
