NIGHTCRAWLER! And more on X-Men 2...

LOOK at what was just said about Nightcrawler:

"MOTHERFUCKING NIGHTCRAWLER!!!!! Motherfucking Nightcrawler kicking motherfucking ass doing motherfucking flips and rolls and kicks on a group of men in a tight hallway, running on all fours; performing brutal, acrobatic wire-fu that in no way apes THE MATRIX... And God... When he does that first somersault in the air away from, yet right in front of the camera... And his tail perfectly bisects the frame... The stuff of multiple geek orgasms.

And even though the screen was kinda dark, you do get a look at his face from a shot that almost looks like it's coming right out of his mouth... His teeth are all sharp, I mean, like, ALL of them. And his skin has been given a sort of texture, ALMOST like the designs on the face of Cabal in NIGHTBREED. But, not exactly, that's just the fast impression I got. ..."

Despite the fact that it's the second day of Fall term and am BIZZY than all get - I STILL think of my fellow T-Peoples when I spot these things - you folks rank right in there with Ko, Beer, Food, DVDs', Comic Books, Training - you're all right in there.....

OH! And Anthony Hopkins has confirmed on The Howard Stern Show that he is indeed Superman's pappy, Jor-El.

One more thing: Fox has confirmed that the production $$ for this flick is indeed $130 million. Which is quite a bit more than the $75 million for the first film. (Patricia is clapping her hands in glee, looking forward to all the awesome FX shots $130 million can bring…hee hee).

BRAND new, JUST released: The Two Towers trailer, see it here: iTunes Movie Trailers newline/the_two_towers/ (space at “/” and “newline”) - Enjoy!

Patricia

I’ve noticed that the new X-Men cartoon (where they are students) has also been adding more characters.

Thanks for the Trailer! I’m going to be king-geek for a bit now!

News on the NOW in the works, Sub-Mariner and Six Billion Dollar Man movies:

Sub-Mariner: " In a press release announcing a new screenwriting team working on the Prime project, Marvel Studios CEO Avi Arad also re-expressed his company's commitment to make Sub-Mariner at Universal. Arad announced that a final agreement now exists between Marvel and Universal to make the picture. "Sub-Mariner will be an epic underwater tale of majestic fantasy," said Arad"

Six Billion Dollar Man: "The latest news in this project is the announcement of a new screenwriter to replace Smallville scribes Miles Millar and Alfred Gough: today's Variety claims that scribe Trevor Sands is the new guy penning the Six Billion Dollar Man script. Sands pitched Dimension Films his take on the big-screen Steve Austin story and got the gig plus an invite to come back and pitch future movies to Dimension."

BTW: This flick is STILL in "developement hell." I suspect that by the time it moves into pre-production, it'll be titled "The Six Trillion Dollar Man".

THIRD trailer for "Die Another Day" is available for your viewing pleasure here: http://www.apple.com/ trailers/mgm/die_another_day/ (space at "/" and "trailers")

There's a movie about to be released that has receive very little to no fanfare. It's called "Below". And the reason I'm so excited about this flick is the fact it's co-written by David Twohy and Darren Aronofsky and directed by Twohy. David Twohy is responsible for "The Fugitive" script as well as writing/directing "The Arrival" and "Pitch Black" (two VERY good flicks, especially "The Arrival"). Mr. Aronofsky is responsible for "PI" and "Requeim for a Dream". "Below" is a story about a World War II sub, but with a supernatural twist.... Looks VERY good, here's the trailer: http://movies.yahoo.com/ shop?d=hv&id=1807792666&cf=trailer (space at "/" and "shop"). Yeah, it ain't in Quicktime, but what the hell, check it out.

That's it for now, folks. Patricia :-)

See, I really liked the Arrival - but other people didn’t. “El_Machinae,” they say “we keep on forgetting that you like movies that we don’t”

I’m mostly a Sci-Fi/Monster junkie. Monster + Sci-Fi is almost always a winner.

Did you know there’s a Marvel RPG out there? I know, I know a superhero RPG is just awfully geeky sounding isn’t it? I know people who swear by it though.

Dude, I love The Arrival. I currently have the movie in the VCR of my studio. This movie was released right alongside of “Independance Day”. And while Devlin and Emmerich had made “Independance Day” as a homage to the Sci Fi B-Movies of the '50s and '60s - I think they failed immensely! But “The Arrival” captured it better. And was a better movie. At least it doesn’t contain plot holes the size of whole star systems as did “Independence Day”. And The Arrival also contains Charlie Sheen’s best performance. Just a damn good and underappreciated flick.

Okay, FINALLY: The trailer of “Below” can be seen in full Quicktime glory here: iTunes Movie Trailers miramax/below.html (space at “/” and “miramax”). Enjoy.

Oh, and Miramax had decided on finally creating the “official” site for “Below” here: www.belowthemovie.com / (space at “.com” and “/”).
