Oh, I forgot the most conspicuous fact: Al-Quaeda planned 9-11 during Oslo when the Palestinians were dialoguing with the Israelis, were set to receive their own state, and U.S. support of the Palestinian cause (and consequently, our “fairhandedness”) was at its perceived highest-level during the Clinton era.
Many have pointed out taht to Al-Quaeda’s ilk, the travesty is peace between Israel and the Palestinians or dialogue that might institute peace in the future. Islamist governments and organizations always reject the two-state solution.
We could, however, nuke Israel off the map and see whether we’re looked on favorably by the Islamists for a spell. That would be the Great Satan cutting off its (Jewish) nose to spite its face.

To say those in the video do not fit the body type of a middle easterner is fairly ignorant, there are big and small in every race. I know from experience that Iraqis do have some big boys in the 6"4/240+ range so take that for what it’s worth. I guess I’m not understanding the point of these replies, are you guys really trying to imply that somehow there’s some sort of agenda being perpetrated here? If so you’re right, these terrorist would enjoy nothing less than the total anhiliation of us American infidels-except for our women who they’d like to keep for their brothels.
There is a time dilation on the video as well. Like 11 hours or something right when the beheading is happening. There is some strangeness with the video quality at this point in time, and there isn’t any blood from what I can see. I’m not really sure what to make of it other than the video was edited for whatever reason. I’m not familiar with their customs so I don’t know what significance the gold ring has. I guess maybe its possible that he was already dead when this happened? I’m not sure if that really means anything if that was the case but the video seems a little odd.
I would ask all of those who believe in an “eye for an eye” form of justice if they believe it should be applied equally? For instance, should the American soliders - who were involved in the psyco-sexual acts - and the higher chain of command who gave such orders, be subjected to the same treatment?
That arguement could be applied to the 9/11 incident. Many innocent people perished that day in a grotesque display of vengence.
Does anyone know how many innocent people have perished directly or indirectly under the foreign policy of this country? It is not pretty.
I saw still images of the beheading of Mr. Berg and listened to the audio and almost puked, even though I’m an ER nurse and have worked on stuff like open chests during traumas and ate a bloody steak afterward with no problems, the horror of this barbaric act was too much to stomach. I cannot bring myself to watch the video. The man suffered a horrendous, painful death and the pieces of sht who did this should be brought to justice and as the bible says, an eye for an eye. What an outrage! Whether it be ideology, politics, whatever, there is no excuse, the act was simply and purely murder. Sorry, I just have to vent, but those fckers should be hunted down and killed…who cares about violence begets more violence, whatever happened to strong deterrence by strong consequences!!!
