NHL Playoffs 2006

So much for the first one, Ducks nailed the Avs 5 to 0!

that hurting that the canes just put on the devils was mighty mighty impressive.

Ducks are now up two against the Avs. Their goalie (rookie) broke a record set in 1945.

From the Associated Press:
ANAHEIM, Calif. - Ilya Bryzgalov wasn?t terribly impressed that he tied an NHL rookie record set in 1945.

Sharks are now up one against the Oilers!

Rough weekend for both the Avs and the Oilers. Hopefully Edmonton can rebound in Game 2.

As for the Avalanche somebody better step up or this series may not make it back to Anaheim.

I just wanna give a shout out to my beloved Buffalo Sabres going into Ottawa and kicking ass both nights to bring the series back to Buffalo up two games.

How bout it boys???

wow, Marty now 0 for the last 7 OT games in the playoffs…Mr Clutch indeed…

Geez - the Ducks are for real. They kicked some serious ass. Calgary could not keep up in game 7 of their series, and they crushed Colorado. It’s tough NOT to hope they go far now.

Oilers are starting to look like the team that crushed the Red Wings.

You have no idea what you’re talking about! He’s 8-19! Oh… Actually, you’re exactly right.

Hey chrismcl- How 'bout our sabres!!! What a move by Pominville- have fun on the golf course Ottawa

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHH BABY!!!

Pominville fuckin spanked Alfredsson with that move. What a goddamn pushover!

When you have that “C” on your sweater, usually it means you’re not a pushover like Alfredsson proved himself to be on that play.

Short-handed overtime one-on-two…now if thats not the equivalent of bending over the Sens and fuckin them in the ass, I don’t know what is.

I have been busy the last 10 days, but, you’re still here? Didn’t your team get swept out like a month ago. I realize Carolina is slapping us around but damn. Marty is more clutch and a better goalie than any Ranger ever has been or ever will be. There is no argument you can logically put together to convince anyone otherwise. He has accomplished things NO ONE else has EVER done. You just sound bitter about the Devils run the last decade. Time to let it go bud.

yes…more clutch than mike richter…HAHAH…broduer cant win in over time as the stats show…sure seems like a clutch goalie would win come up big when one shot could win or lose you the game…richter did do things that havent been done in enterinity…won the rangers a stanley cup and lead the US to a world championship, both with his back to the wall…sounds more clutch to me than Marty “Matteau Matteau Stephane Matteau” Broduer

Damn, these Rangers and Devils fans sure do like cat fights.

Get the fuck over it!

This discussion is getting to the point of “I know you are but what am I?”, “I know you are but what am I?” et al.

Why don’t we talk about some quality fuckin hockey teams? Like the Buffalo Sabres BAY-BEE!!!

the canes were awesome tonight…I was impressed with how fast to the puck the devils were in the rangers devils series…the canes made the devils look like they had rollerblades on.

Now will the Rangers and Devils fans both shut the fuck up? None of you guys are in the playoffs anymore so neither of you are better than the other.

I love how all of the teams left in the playoffs are hard-working teams that aren’t big flashy names like Detroit, Ottawa, Colorado, Dallas, etc.

Plus, it’s kind of cool to see Edmonton as the last Canadian team in the playoffs – who would have thought? CBC has surely cried a lot of tears over the way all their favourite Canadian teams have dropped like flies. I’m sure Edmonton is the team that gets the least CBC coverage during the year, so I’m amused now (but also annoyed with the shitty announcers).

What was up with the anthem thing in San Jose? I hope that the Oiler fans show the class that I think they have and remain quiet during the Star Spangled Banner.

That kind of shit can be really embarassing. Unfortunately Canadian fans did that during the World Juniors. A friend of mine in B.C. blamed it on the lumber industry and the U.S. - Canada soft wood (or hardwood?) deal, but I don’t really see how booing an anthem at a sporting event makes any point except “I’m ignorant and full of hate”.

The Oilers gave the best response in San Jose. Go Oil.

I’ve seen examples of stupid ignorance going both ways (Canada and US) and it pisses me off big time. Have some civility for Chrissakes.

Whyte Ave after Game 4:

You’d think we won the cup or something. It’s a crazy time up in Edmonton these days.
