well, the deserving team did not win tonight… once again, carolina found a way to take advantage of an injured team. fourth series in a row, go figure. edmonton will come back roaring in game 2 and even it up.

That kind of shit can be really embarassing. Unfortunately Canadian fans did that during the World Juniors. This is a dated response but the San Jose booing came in response to the same thing in game 4 in Edmonton. The local broadcast in the bay area showed the anthems whereas I don’t think the national telecasts did the same. As a result only people in Northern California heard them boing the Star Spangled Banner. It was still stupid though, especially considering that half the team is Canadian.

that game was crazy…that poke check by roloson, the two glove saves by Ward, the behind the back pass by Smyth, the penalty shot by pronger (who apprently didnt take a single one during the regular season). WOW thats all i can say
