I’ll be sad to see Stevie Y leave if he decides to hang 'em up. What a career.
One of the best leaders the game has ever seen.

Stevie Y is true hall of fame material and a real class act. As much as I was cheering for the Oilers, it will be sad to see him go if this is indeed his last season – he’s one of the last remaining from a generation of great Canadian players.
If Calgary wins tonight, the three teams from the Northwest Division will have all moved on to the next round – maybe there’s something to this weak/strong division talk after all?
What a huge fricken disappointment.
ho-ly shit am I pissed…
Terrible goal.
I think they just stopped playing after the 2nd game.
Wow. pissed off.
Damn, that hurt, watching the habs lose like that.
I always get a bit suspicious at the penalty calls on the habs (or lack of calls on the opponents) during the playoffs, I have to say.
For example, Koivu nearly losing his eye just may have been a penalty.
Anyhow, those two goal posts ringing were the sound of death. The chances were there and they couldn’t stuff one in the net… then the crappy OT loss just hurt.
Sigh. GO SENS!!!
Yea 2 goal posts hurt.
At least Koivu is going to be alright.
At the end of the day, it’s comforting to know that, even though the Habs really disappointed by letting Carolina win 4 straight game, it could have been worse:
I could have been a Leafs fan.
Go Ducks

One of the greatest leaders in sport, played beyond a generation with the same team, soft spoken and always the go-to guy. Alas his breed is going the way of the dodo but at least sakic will keep that kind of class going for a little while
LEts go Rangers
Thoughts on round 2 ? anybody…

He has yet to win a Stanley Cup, and he needs a better supporting cast on offense, but Jarome Iginla, IMO, fits into the mold. Time will tell.

Not sure what your referring to here?? If it’s Joe Sakic might I remind you he has two cups and a playoff MVP to go with it. If not my mistake. As for Stevie Y he is a class act and pro sports in general could use more guys like him.
Now about the 2nd round, I think the Avalanche can continue their roll and eliminate the Ducks.

He is talking about Iginla. I agree, another class act.
As far as who continues, who cares. Does no one else see the irony in none of the top four teams making it out of the first round?
I am majorly dissappointed in the wings, you could tell everyone but Stevie the rookies thought they were to important to block shots. That was some shitty hockey.
And then the Sharks can kick their ass as usual!
the best series of the 2nd round will definatly be the sens-sabres…with the sens winning in 7…emery will be the make or break for the sens…if he can play just good…ottawa will win the cup…

Not so fast there… I believe the Avalanche have the better record in head to head matchups. Besides the Sharks have to play an Edmonton that is riding pretty high right now.

All-time maybe. SJ was 3-1 against the Avs this year, and we all remember the winner in the playoffs last season…
Edmonton is the toughest competitor left for the Sharks in the west at this point. They were 1-1-2 against the oil this season. These first home games will be critical for the Sharks. If they can dominate early, Edmonton will break and this series will be short.
Just adding a little love for Edmonton.
That is all.

I think I got an aerobic working watching that Sabres-Sens game.
Sabres score like 20 seconds into OT…
Fuckin right doggie!

That game was incredible.
Maybe it’s just because it has been so long since the last playoffs, but I’m enjoying these more than any I can remember in quite a while.
