The cops were absolutely outnumbered right after the game. A few hundred (maybe) against legions of angry fans. People would burn bruins bears in the streets and brush the cops aggressively while chanting “riot”, but the cops did not respond violently. Now that the cops are greater in number, the crowd is cowering.
Also, I saw firefighters attempting to put out car fires while people pelted them with shit. Disgraceful.
