NH_Watts' TRT Log

That was more for you to compare though a side by side would be cool.

Hey @NH_Watts - do you see physiolojik as your endo? Do you like working with him?

I do not. He was my coach for a little while but no one has heard from him in months.

He still lurks every now and then. The only reason I can say that is because he ā€œlikedā€ one of my post earlier this month,

so I gather he’s still watching. I wish he would get active again though…he had a lot to offer to this forum.

Would this be thorough enough testing to determine probable thyroid issues?:

My Dr ordered TSH, Total T3 and Total T4 and diagnosed my sub-clinical hypothyroid from the results.

I think what you have listed is probably pretty good. Some might say you need antibodies in there or might not need Total numbers, just Free numbers. I think @dextermorgan posted a list in a response somewhere.

After being on 90mg Armour Thyroid for about 7 months, I ordered this -

And these were the results. I’ve since upped my dose to 150mg (2.5 grains) a day and am doing blood next week I think.

Here is a good thread on thyroid.

Thank you.

The antibodies test helps diagnose when your immune system is attacking your thyroid (like Graves & Hashimotos).

Here’s a complete thyroid panel:

Do you know if hashimotos is hereditary? One of my daughters has it.

Yes it can be. My father has it and so did his father.

My friend’s father has it and lately his thyroid started to act crazy.

Do you?

Not yet.

At what point does your MD say, ā€œok time to get on ā€?

For hashimotos? I’m guessing when TGA & TPA start showing outside range and thyroid issues & symptoms present themselves. My dad didn’t test his until he was around 60. Thyroid is so damn complex it makes TRT feel like a kid could do it.

My mother has hashimoto’s. I never had antibodies tested, but I am hypothyroid.

@NH_Watts - When you order labs through Ulta, what are the specific test #'s you order for testosterone/E2 and SHBG? I see a few different ones and am not sure which is the best. I know @johann77 has mentioned certain tests/assays are more accurate than others. I just want to make sure I’m ordering the ā€œcorrectā€ ones. @johann77, are you familiar with the tests that Ulta labs has to offer by any chance?

Thanks in advance!

Here is what I ordered:
