NFL Off-Season 2013

Actually I do. No matter what people may think, my thought has always been our problems are not the QB. Our D has sucked against the run forever, we have not had a running game since E. Smith. And our owner is a tard

I agree.

Listen, if Joe Flacco can win the Super Bowl, so can Tony Romo. Obviously Flacco played pretty damn good in the post-season, and it remains to be seen if Romo is one of those players who just can’t finish a game or win in the post-season, but the problem in the end is NOT him. Give Romo a decent defense and a run game, and it is a team that can make a deep post-season run.

Other than quietly cutting some dead wood, no big news out of my Jets so far this off season, which is … JUST THE WAY I LIKE IT.

Okay, the Revis story is big-ish. But only because his team (agent, patsies etc) keep feeding the media, not because the Jets are making it so. Personally don’t care whether he stays or goes … and in fact, would rather he go if it means we get a whole bunch of 2nd and 3rd round picks to start rebuilding this team.

Really liking Idzik’s style so far.

How much does Matt Flynn hate his life?

Goes to Seatle, gets beat out by one of the most dynamic rookie QB’s in awhile, drafted in the 3rd.

Gets traded to Oakland, where talent goes to die…

Poor kid.

eh… I’m sure you guys have run across the same number of herpies in your lifetimes… All his were just packed into 4 years of college.

But seriously is this a step up from C Palmer?

Are the Raiders so fucked in cap hell that they are just going to ride out the down years.

I personally thought the Raiders should have kept Palmer and said no to Flynn, but maybe they really believe in him or something. He’s made two NFL starts.

So a year and a half ago the Raiders traded for Palmer and gave up a 1st and 2nd round pick. Now they are trading him to the Cardinals and getting a 7th round pick. It’s reasons like this why the Raiders have sucked the past decade.

I think the Raiders are cleaning house and just going to build through the draft. Dont forget the GM was hired out of Green Bay, he knows Al put them in a deep hole. Just my opinion, but how do you rebuild a whole franchise that was so far down the rabbit hole?

Nadaiaia Asumbhuadaa to the Niners?

Is that an ice skater?

I think the Cardinals have like 7 QBs currently. What a joke.

And Im glad SF took Namndi(sp?). Hopefully it pushes Woodson to just take the deal in GB and come back. Supposedly he isnt getting any bites.

The Niners just got Nnamdi’d.

First step? Get the fuck out of that shithole city, Oakland, and move down to L.A.

That was Ameeeeezing

Ehh, Nnamdi was overrated when he was on the Raiders. Dude was always getting schooled by Vincent Jackson. Didn’t really get to see him play much on the Eagles though.

He’s primarily a man-to-man CB and in Philly he had to play primarily zone coverage. The Niners play mostly man-to-man with a lot of it asking the corners to play right up on the line of scrimmage. He’s going to be coming back to a team that will utilize his strengths instead of asking him to do something he isn’t suited for.

I think he might also get some looks in training camp at FS. He’s lost a step but he’s always had good instincts and the ability to make a play on the ball, so he might thrive at FS if he can learn the basics of the position. His lost speed won’t be nearly an issue back there and his instincts will serve him well when he has the whole field in front of him.

Regardless, he’s only making about 1.5 million so it’s not the like Niners have invested much in him. They can cut him in training camp and lose nothing if he looks like shit and I’m sure that after the draft there will be some very stiff competition in the secondary. The reason they got burned so much in the playoffs is due more to the lack of a pass rush with the injuries to Justin and Aldon Smith and the wearing down of McDonald and Sopoaga. It wasn’t a talent issue back there at all. The way their pass rush looked after the Smith boys got injured they would have been torched even if they had three Revis’ back there.

Great move by the Niners. Remember guys, they are paying him 1.35 million with NO guarantees. That means if he sucks it up in training camp, they can cut bait and it’s see ya later. The kicker in the no guarantee of $ is that it was Nnamdi’s terms, so clearly he wants to redeem himself. Not to mention $ isn’t an issue since he’s still getting paid by the Eagles.

That’s a scary fucking team right now. Bears-49ers in the NFC Championship (lolz).

Fuckin’ aye. Uhh that’s re the Niners - not re the Bears making the Championship game.

Niners and the Seahawks have gotten a hell of a lot stronger over this off season. On top of that, it’s crazy to think that both their QBs just finished their FIRST season in the NFL, and likely will continue to improve.
