1 ? on the playoff format. Are we going to keep it the same and just pick the amount of games that you want and go off a % based win, or have a set # that each person has to pick (for ex. your top five and a tie breaker)? Just wondering, I see the potential problem of a tie possibly.
sorry my picks are late, ill just post a few
Tennessee/Indy over
Seattle
Kansas City
Baltimore
New York Jets
Miami
I was gonna make everyone pick 7 games and one best bet for the tiebreaker, but it seems like a lot of you like to play the whole card of games, so Im contemplating just making it all 16 games , no totals. Any input would be appreciated.
sounds good to me, pick em all. You could add in a total points guess for the monday night game in case of a need for a tie breaker.

Heres the spreads for round 1 of the playoffs. YOU MUST pick all 16 games. Sides only, no totals. For the Monday nighter between Philadelphia and Miami give a number of the total points you think will be scored for that game, that will be the tiebreaker. My apologies to those of you who dont usually cap every game, but it seems the majority of the people here like to cap every game so that is the way the playoffs will work.
You will be paired off in head to head matchups based on your regular season seedings. Here are the seedings followed by the spreads:
(1)Marinersfan vs.
(8)Tonybats
(4)Cupcake vs.
(5)Eric Cressey
(2)Phill vs.
(7)Shenry
(3)Doogie vs.
(6)TCB
I will now be referred to by my gambling name, “Tonybats” as I am ready to get serious and win the contest because I am the Master Capper. Here are the spreads for next week:

Cowboys(-1.5) at Redskins
49ers at Bengals(-3.5)

Just my luck! He gets a new name and I have to face him in the first week of the playoffs. Why do I feel like I am Seattle playing on the road?

Marinersfan, I smell fear. Beware Tonybats, master capper. Honestly though, going through the whole card isnt one of my strengths. If any of you bet NBA, then I can make you some money. I will take the playoff rounds a little more serious then the regular season, but it probably wont make too much of a difference.

Whoo-hoo! I made the t-nation football pool hall of fame with a totally weak 8-8 in week 8. I enjoy the numeric symmetry. I’m adding Tonybats to the hall of fame for coordinating this season. Thanks. How did you do it? Massive database, colorful spreadsheet, or unruly pile of sticky notes?
And now… Phil, I dub my picks The Week of the Birds. That’s right all bird-named teams will prevail, Falcons, Seahawks, Ravens, Eagles, and even the Cardinals.
