NFL Draft 2011 LIVE SPILL

Glad to hear about this kid, hope he does well and gets traded away from the Giants.

I agree with what you’re saying DJ… the NFC West could REALLY change drastically depending on how FA goes. There good be some real moves made (heard rumors of Namdi going to SF! that would be awesome but I’m not holding my breath)

I agree with Brad about Locker. I think that he will be a good QB. He’s not Brady or Manning but I could honestly see him turning into a Steve Young-esq player. Good mobility that gets out of trouble and picks teams apart in the short passing game (west coast style) Especially with CJ in the backfield.

FTR: I am NOT saying that Locker is on the same level as Steve Young (my third favorite player ever)
Who are your first two? Montana and Rice? Montana and Lott? Montana and Taylor? Montana and Craig? Montana and R. Cross?

Hard to argue against your point Greg, but what if the Rams get a dynamic WR and Jackson is healthy they can put up points. What if Kolb goes to the Cards and Orton goes to Seattle? That could change the complection of the NFC west for sure.

Two of the most important things in this day and age of the NFL are QB and pass rusher. SF needs both.
DJ how the heck is Kolb qualified as a threat right now? For all I can tell the only reason he’s attractive is because he’s available and cheap.
Cause he has been coached and has time to sit and ā€œseasonā€ for QB this seems to make a big difference. Who would you have better faith in Kolb or Ponder/Locker/Newton?
Locker, 100%

Proved himself to be coachable, have some cahones, and deal with injuries. I like that kid strictly based of what he did in college
Brad they play the first real game in a month or so, no way Locker can come out day one and produce like Kolb could on day one. Kolb has done 5 training camps and stayed on the side lines for years. Locker has yet to step foot in the facility. Long term yes Locker I am just talking about this year and the next 3-4.
I disagree! Locker is a stud. I seen him play! In person even!

If I were the Cards I’d get Jeff Garcia out of a wheelchair before I paid Kolb, or re-sign John Navarre, or henpeck that undrafted QB from the Red Raiders from a couple years ago.
hahahahahahahaha I hope Kolb gets shipped, BECAUSE Vick will go down at some point this year. Then the Boys can kick Kafka’s ass when they play the Eagles.

Kolb could be another Shaub.
Or another Detmer or Couch or Carr or Henson… That’s right I said Henson.
Henson the cyclops, fucking kids eyes were so close together he could use an eye patch for a blind fold. What a fucking bust.

DJ… you see that Dallas is releasing Barber, Leonard Davis, Kris Brown (not the Rhianna abusing one) and possibly Marc Colombo?

I predicted Barber, Colombo, Williams and Newman. Rumors on Davis, but they have yet to have someone that can replace him, if he is a cap hit he will be resigned for much less. He really only has a few more years left in the league.

Cowboys finally get rid of Barber. DJ, your running game isnt looking to great so far. Phillips nor Garret played Choice and I am very curious why. Demarco may work in some snaps but I think he will run special teams for the meantime. When you think of it, Dallas is looking alot like Green Bay 2010. Not much of a running game but you have an array of recievers and a solid defense(hopefully).

Sidenote-I dont think Locker will start. I suspect Tennessee grab a veteran like Hasselback.

Adam Shefter is reporting it right now on ESPN… Davis will be cut today.

Garret is a back up QB, so makes sense that he wants to pass first. Actually your team is a prime example of what the league has gone to, pass to set up the run. You forget we have Jones, Choice and Murray (Okie pick), those are three guys that can catch the ball out of the back field and all have great skills. No power running game for Dallas for sure :frowning:

Davis has been shaky honestly last few years, again who on the open market is going to pay high dollar for him? Dallas can resign him for a lot less and make cap room.

Hasselback going to Tennessee is being reported.

I like your Dallas analogy, but the difference to me is that this is Garretts first full year with the keys to the castle, and GB had a running game (albeit pieced together) by the playoffs (Kuhn, Starks etc).

Adam Shefter reports, Barber, Colombo, Davis and Williams all cut this morning at lunch.

devlin to miami… heard he’s a poor man’s flacco minus the arm strength… saw some films not impressed… why is everyone on his jock?

he looks like a chad pennington tbh

I still like Marion the Barbarion. I don’t think Dallas was a good fit for him. HE should be Chris Johnson’s #2, or something like that, IMO.

BTW, in your dreams about Nnamdi.

Maybe they are dreams, but damnit I can dream.

Barber could fit in Tennessee could see that.

Nice to see you back Wilba, hope all is well.

JETS v COWBOYS 9/11

I CANNOT WAIT!!!

Hey my boy Derek Anderson got cut lol!

From Rotoworld:

The Newark Star-Ledger confirms the Jets have ā€œreached outā€ to free agent Nnamdi Asomugha.
This comes on the heels of an earlier report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter that the Jets plan to ā€œmake a run atā€ Asomugha to pair him with Darrelle Revis. Multiple reports suggest Asomugha is willing to leave money on the table to sign with playoff contender, and Rex Ryan’s squad fits the bill. Asomugha also has designs on an acting career, which may give the Jets yet another edge.

I have the biggest greenest boner now!

That would be stifling. Seriously.

Extremely, incredibly, and unfathomably unlikely, but it’d be crazy.

Sorry, I feel like it’s my job to put delusional fans/teams in their place about Nnamdi, sorry to be that guy.

I am gonna keep the dream alive until its over…

REVIS … ASOMUGHA

DA NO FLY ZONE!!!

Just please no Randy Moss in the green and white.
