I think they’ll try to sign in house players Cro & Holmes first. Though I’m not against making a play for Rice. Love his game. W/all the baggage that Holmes carries I kinda wish they would drop him & go after Rice. I saw where Holmes is creating a firestorm on his Twit account over the Anthony verdict. We don’t need that shit!

Can someone explain to me how Revis did not make the top 5 in the 100 best players. I’m callin’ BULLSHIT rt now!
Holmes is a twit allright lol, dude can play though.

That list was a joke, there is no explaining to be had there, Ben at 41!
It was all a ratings booster. They didnt even give the survey to all the players in the NFL.

They just gave to some and said who is the active best 20 players in the NFL. Some look at body of work, some look at just last year. BUT it did piss off a lot of people and make good TV.
The list was a complete joke. Romo over Matt Ryan? Thats just one example.
Now why you going there? Now if it was for rating the 2010 then yes Romo was out most of the year, if it was body of work then no.

Brady came in first right?

Best list of all time if that’s the case.

God people are going to lose their shit when he comes out of the closet the day after he is voted into the HOF.

Please jesus end this lockout so I can talk football again.

some mind explaining that list to me? i watched it and looked at the list and i cant determine if they meant that as beast active players? best 2011 season? or active players with the best bodies of work? for any of the above there seem to be contradictions throughout the list

The original series title was:

Tom Brady and 99 other dudes who wore pads on Sundays.

That should clear up any confusion…

that list was a real load of crap

hahahaha beans that was good and i dont even like the pats or tom brady, other than the pics we get of him embarrassing himself and DJ odd obsessions with said pics

The list was awful. I agree with Brady no 1. But Ray Lewis top 5? Great all timer. But current no 1 defender? no way. Revis is the best defender in the league. best linebacker is pat willis. the list was confused between all time greats and current greats.

i agree 100% with both claims, its like they couldnt make up their mind on how they wanted to do it

Well of course since Romo has been starting since '06 and Ryan hasnt been around long. Hell compare is stats to Flacco as well. Overall, Flacco has had better percentage rates since his start. I dont like the Cowgirls but Ill give them what they deserve. Romo is truly overrated and yall should look for a young buck soon.

what? are you guys serious?

26 solo tackles, 6 assisted tackles and 0 (yes that is ZERO) interceptions by the best defender in the league during 13 games? lololol

Revis is NOT the best defender in the league.

I notice your lack of giving another example. Cornerback is not about stats, this isn’t fantasy football. He consistently completely shuts down the very best receivers in the league. Complete beast. You could make an argument for Pat Willis or Demarcus Ware but overall I’d give it to Revis.

I’m w/Red. If not Revis than who greg? He changes the offensive game plan single handedly. They can only throw to one side of the field w/him on a corner. Limits your entire O. You might wanna take another look & re-access your position.

Sorry guys but I think this one is a better shut down corner.

If you went with stats he had most picks in the NFL last year and only played 10 games.

I have been a fan since Danny White and TD. I have seen a ton of QB’s for this team over the years. The NFL now is about elite QB’s but getting one of those elite is not an easy task.
This is not fantasy just grabbing and picking will not result in an elite QB. Is Romo the best in the league? No way in hell, BUT two years ago he was second in the league in passing yards behind Shaub. Is he Big Ben and can pull wins out of his ass, NO, is he Rogers with the sniper arm NO, BUT he is our best option.

We have weapons, what we didnt have was a coach with balls. What we didnt have was a defense that could stop the run or cover deep. I think Ryan is a franchise QB and could be the next Manning, barring injury or team fuck up which I doubt.

Agreed. Out of curiosity, what is your feelings on Jerry Jones? Imo, he interferes too much for the head coach(whoever that may be at anytime) to make valuable decisions.

I would agree that he is just as good, but not better. Check stats against the same receivers. I think you’ll find Revis’s numbers are far ahead of Asi’s. Though I wouldn’t mind if he were playing opposite Darrelle.

As for the Romo/Ryan debate. First of it’s a joke to compare the 2. Thus far in careers, Romo is a better qb. Now what will make him a pro-bowler this yr is Rob Ryan. That def. will change field position for their O. Watch what Romo does this yr. He’s going to light it up.

This statement was written by a Cowboy hater. I just watch what Rex’s def does for the Jets O.

I used to hate JJ and the dumb shit he was doing. However once I started doing more business oriented work (worked ER for 14 years and family practice for 3) my views started changing a little.
The medical business world is different and so is the sports business world. So I started seeing things through different colored glasses.
I basically put myself in JJ’s place, the guy LOVES football, he is a self made billionaire. I honestly believe most people who love football would probably make the same mistakes and go through the same learning curve he did.
Do I think he should hire an experienced GM? Yes, will he? No.
My biggest fear is he turns all Al Davis and goes off the deep end.

He is not going to the Jets, he is going to the Boys. His old coach is now our DC and we didnt pick up a CB in the draft. Slam dunk baby.
