NFL 2013 Part 2

Where the fuck is DB Cooper? I want to hear some pre-game shit talking, not that bullshit drive by smack talking on the off chance SF comes into Seattle squeaks one out.

Well sure they can. Anybody can beat anybody on a given day. Surely SF is favored and if money was on the line I wouldn’t bet against them, but GB has a chance.
This.

I’m a lifelong 49ers fan but their lack of continuity in the receiving corps may really end up hurting them. Hopefully they can pick things up and get on a roll but who knows. If Rodgers (gay or not  was still out then I would say SF had this game in the bag but with him back I would say it’s 60/40 Niners. Maybe 55/45.

If Kap can just quit holding back on using his legs then I think the 49ers could really get things rolling but ever since the superbowl last season it seems pretty obvious that he wants to show he’s not just a runner and doesn’t take off soon enough. I hope he can get back to that.
Seattle’s offense has looked pretty average or worse the last few weeks. I think they have the most exciting D in the game right now, but man o man the offense is pissing me off. All I can say is the tension is building around here and you can just feel it throughout the whole region. I can’t fucking wait for the next game.

Are you worried about seattles defense since (from what I’ve seen) they are getting a lot more PI/Defensive holding calls lately?

Those are calls they got away with all season (Sherman and browner hold the hell out of receivers all game long) but were getting called on it a lot against SF and Arizona (I didn’t want the Rams game so I’m not sure if it happened there too?)

It reminds me of the Oklahoma City Thunder against the Heat two years ago. Harden was getting all the calls all year long and that well dried up in the finals and the team was screwed. His confidence was shot and it resonates throughout the team. I think the reverse (not getting called all year and then now it’s getting called a lot) could really hurt Seattle.

Have you noticed this trend at all?

BREAKING NEWS: Bears sign Jay Cutler to a new 7 year deal

BREAKING NEWS: Green Bay Packers clinch the NFC North for the next 7 years.

They didn’t say how much, and I don’t think he has played a full season once. I’ve said it before (not on here) but the Bears will never win a SB with Cutler.

Only $126 Million

Okay, but this is the NFL, he’ll see like 6 of that if he is lucky.

I’m just surprised they signed him to 7 years. I would have thought maybe 2-3 so they can draft someone but I guess the bears believe in Cutler.

I’m thinking the 7 years is just a window dressing type thing. They will end up cutting him and a bulk of that salary long before the 7th year. He isn’t worth that much time investment nor anywhere close to 126 million dollars.

I thinking they wanted to send a message to fans and players that they are interested in stability and growing with what they have. What they aren’t looking to do is re-tool right now. Spend a couple years building the role players, and the studs they have a receiver, and then look to upgrade at QB when a value opportunity comes along. A rookie QB you reach for this year might not be any better than Cuttler. So wait and see if something better falls in your lap, and maintain the illusion you can win so fans buy tickets. Win/Win. Kinda like what JJ is doing with the Cowgirls right now.

What’s the Cutler guranteed money? That’s what matters.

$54 is guaranteed… But I agree. No way he plays out that entire thing.

lol, I was being dramatic, but yeah… I can see paying him $56. That isn’t horrid.

He isn’t going to win you many rings, but there are worse options out there. Shit they could be starting ROmo, Eli (this year) or Tebow.

SF has been whining like little bitches all year long because Seattle plays physical d. SF got some traction with this midseason to late season on marginal plays, but I think they are going to let them play in the playoffs and the pendulum on SF’s bitching crying wolf is swinging the other way. I am more concerned about Seattle’s actual penalties that happen after the play like unnecessary roughness and taunting. I’m hoping Carroll has this shit reigned in by now. If they get a few flags because they play physical, I’m not worried about that.

While I will admit that Harbaugh has been “bitching” a lot about seattles defensive play in the secondary, it isn’t without warrant.

The grab and hold more than any other team but just don’t get called for it. Technically, those are penalties but don’t always get called. They are penalties and should be called… That’s why Harbaugh bitches lol

If it’s your team grabbing and holding it’s called “physical defense.” When it’s the other team doing it it’s called “cheating/penalties.” Lol

That’s just the way it goes. My only gripe is that Seattle (especially this season) seems to get a pass with that sort of defense when other teams don’t. Either call it one way or the other but call it that way across the board. That’s what I’m saying.

As a lifelong USC fan I can feel your pain about the extracurricular penalties and frustrating those are. Carroll has never been known for running a tight disciplined ship so those things just always seem to happen. Definitely frustrating.

Not to mention cutting Cutler now would really upset Brandon Marshall. Him and Cutler are BFFs on and off the field…

So CIN, GB, and IND were giving extensions on ticket sales from the NFL . Its the playoffs do their fans really not care or is there another reason?

X3 They’re playing in GB plus the Packers have Rogers back. Green Bay can definitely win this.

They are blaming the cold, I would assume that people will buy them up before the games happen though, I would hope. I know a guy from here who flies to GB for certain games.
