So long as Vick is hurt.

At least your team isn’t imploding.

Yeah I can see it both ways, but this is my personal belief as well. But I am far from impartial and think there is some karma coming back on them for the no call when Nate Solder put a rear naked choke on Junior Galette in the final play of the Saints-Pats game. Even though that game is still on the Saints for letting it even get to that point, it still feels good to watch the Pats lose.
Problem with that is the Saints needed the Pats to win to further the lead over the Panties in the South.
In my biased opinion, it wasn’t PI but it was a hold.
This is my opinion. When a holding call can get called where it really has no output on the play itself this was one of the most blatant. That hold in the Saints-Pats game COULD have just been missed. The flag was thrown on this one and to say it WASN’T a penalty on some level is just incorrect.
I concur with Saints, Carolina, and Seahawks as the teams to beat. I am looking forward to that Saints-Seahawks game. Carolina is how I wish the Skins would play but they have their shit together quite a bit more.
I’m looking forward to the DEN-NE game Sunday night now too. I predict Denver to take it.

Who knew Carolina would have a lights-out defense?
I’ll give Denver their props. They are definitely earning their spot. They have been played hard this year. Denver is a better team than NE, but if anybody has Peyton’s number it’s Brady. It’s always fun to see the two best QB’s in the league go at each other. I am not going to try to predict the winner because I am always wrong, even when I should be right.

What a great game!
Now debate the picked up flag at the end of the game. I honestly can see it both ways and would have no problem with the penalty being enforced (other than I really don’t like the Pats) or with the no-call.
If you were the ref(s) what would you have done and why?
The call should have stood, but the Pat’s did lose that game. They had plenty of opportunities and just made too many mistakes. The Panther’s made fewer mistakes and won and they deserved to win, but I was rooting for the Pat’s. You just can’t afford mistakes when playing a defense of that caliber.
Off on a slight tangent, I would have loved to see Talib give Steve Smith one on the chin.
I kind of think the Pats will win this game with them being at home and probably pissed off about that loss they just had to Carolina.
The call is pointless to argue. That isn’t why the Pats lost that game. They were outplayed, and shot themselves in the foot on top of it.
The Panthers earned that win, the Pats earned that loss.
Pat’s D is too banged up to hang with Denver, Bronco’s by 17 next week. Not even a sniff of competitive game.

Pats beat themselves in this fucking game with Ridley fumbling, amongst some other stupid penalties, and Talib acting like a complete dildo.
This.
Plus poor defense when the game is on the line. They had plenty of chances to steal a win from a better team, and couldn’t get it done. This is the team the pats have become… Good, but not good enough.

I dunno Pats defense is awful but they have their moments, and its not like Peyton can scramble like Cam. I also think they should have no problem putting up 40-50 points against Denver’s defense.

What do you base this on?
DelRio has that defense looking pretty good as far as I have seen.

I dunno Just a hunch I know Von Miller is back, but they did give up 48 points to the Cowboys (who do have a very talented team) But I think the pats are just now getting full strength. They moved the ball pretty well against Carolina, just couldn’t finish a couple drives.

Oh it will be a shoot out for sure but I would say that Broncos D is better than the Pats.
Which can make the difference.

O yeah I can agree with that, I Pats will need to score at least 40 to come away with a win.

Neither of those teams acted like professionals that have been there before last night.
I can’t really think of too many players on that field that didn’t look like overpaid children.
I mean, I don’t know if you’re just being a homer or not, which is fine, but my point is, from that perspective it was a horrid display.

To be fair, Carolina has been to the Superbowl as many times as all of California combined in the past decade.

To be fair, Steve Smith has acted like he wants a punch in the throat for over a decade, on shitty teams (except for that one time). Talib has only been doing it for a few years.
