NFL 2013 Part 2

Geno smith, as all youg qb’s, need to learn to throw the ball away when everyone is covered. GRRRR. Fuck what are our chances of beating the ravens we shall see.In all honesty I was watching mostly the 1 oclock games than the cfl it’s the playoffs so the intensity is alot higher, even though the nfl is full of genetic mutants and roidmonkeys.

Now that I dont see happening.

Eli has been off this year, I was wondering today if he may have an injury that nobody outside of the team knows about.

Plus that D needs a lot of help, even though Beason has been a needed LB for them.[/quote]

Yeah, in the years that they snuck in and won the SB, they were always talented teams but would dig themselves a hole. This year’s team just doesn’t have that level of talent. They might however win the East because it just sucks.

I sort of disagree. I think the team is relatively the same but their #1 position has been struggling. If he can turn it on, the whole team changes. I didn’t think about the injury issue until Derek pointed it out…

Well the RB position is the weakest it has been in years.

That D pass rush is not as strong as the last SB win.

Eli has played a LOT of games when you consider the Playoffs, and if I remember correctly he is still the #1 guy right now running without missing a game.

Bradshaw was an oft injured RB his last few years with some decent games and then some clunkers. I’d say Brown is relatively close to how Bradshaw was.

Like I said, the GUYS are still there but there play making abilities are questionable this year. I think this was the first time I’ve heard JPP in a highlight all year…

Yea coming off back surgery will do that to you.

I think their biggest problem is OL for sure, they have gotten long in the tooth.

OL is the biggest problem for a lot of teams this year it seems…

This team compared to the old one just isn’t as good. The Offensive and Defensive lines are not even close to the level they played at on those Superbowl runs. The secondary isn’t getting better and probably about the same. Brown is good but the line is not holding up their end. Eli has been getting killed, Nicks half asses it half the time, Cruz cant seem to get loose most games, when Eli does have time and someone is open he isn’t being as consistent as he needs to be but the margin for error has been much smaller for him this year than it usually is.

Was yesterday unspectacular enough to not warrant a single post in this thread?

This catch and win was the most exciting from this weekend.

Funny that missed/broken tackles are usually are downfall. Nice to see the other side of it.

IMO I think Carolina needs this game tonight to prove they belong with the big boys in the NFC.

I like the no call at the end of the game tonight because I wanted the Pats to lose. Good for the Panthers.

Top three teams in the NFC have to be Seahawks, Saints, and Panthers. The Seahawks and Saints meet up in a couple of weeks and I think that game determines homefield advantage in the NFC.

Pats beat themselves in this fucking game with Ridley fumbling, amongst some other stupid penalties, and Talib acting like a complete dildo.

The Patriots are my favorite NFL team, by far (I got that Brady Mitchell & Ness and a Pats snap back). But I’ve also been a Cam Newton fan since he was drafted into the league so I have no problem re-iterating how Cam is too damn charismatic. He’s got the skill, the look and that mojo. He’s going to be the “face” and “poster-boy” of the NFL in the very near future.

As much as that non call at the end of the game sucks for the patriots (as a Niners fan I know how bad/no calls can cost you the game: this week plus the Super Bowl PI no call) I actually think it was a good call

I think that pass is picked off no matter if the LB was all over Gronk or not. The pass was so under thrown that it was getting picked either way. IMO, that’s an uncatchable pass because if Gronk wasn’t impeded he still couldn’t have caught the ball… It would have already been intercepted lol

What a good game though.

Yeah I can see it both ways, but this is my personal belief as well. But I am far from impartial and think there is some karma coming back on them for the no call when Nate Solder put a rear naked choke on Junior Galette in the final play of the Saints-Pats game. Even though that game is still on the Saints for letting it even get to that point, it still feels good to watch the Pats lose.

Nope.

Until Peyton Manning retires, Cam will be in waiting. If he does not win a ring he will be in waiting.

I would say A Luck would take up after Manning, but Luck is an ugly fucker.

Problem with that is the Saints needed the Pats to win to further the lead over the Panties in the South.

In my biased opinion, it wasn’t PI but it was a hold.
