I just don’t see Jerry making that BIG of an admission that he fucked up. He let Peyton go, and I just can’t believe he’d admit he screwed it that bad. I HOPE he would, but doubt it.

Fisher came out and said no way.

Very true about condescension being common, and the lack of accountability that the internet provides; it’s a completely novel medium in that way. And when taken to extremes, you get that campaign manager spreading hurricane rumors via twitter, very strange. But not uninteresting either.

ANYWAY, back to NFL… pretty interesting imo how oddsmakers are giving PIT, CAR, and PHI ever so slightly better-than-even chances to win (at NYG, WAS and NO, respectively) this week, as reflected in the 3-pt spreads. (ie. for evenly matched teams, homefield is typically worth 3.5 pts)

LOL You and me both. It just pisses me off that people in there don’t automatically acquiesce to my obviously superior baseball intellect. If they would just assume everything I say in there is the Gospel According to DB Cooper then things would be different. But they just haven’t seen the light.
Hilarious. And that defense of HC-Harbaugh was decent enough.

I also found Derek’s above comment interesting. Among non-trolls, it seems there’s two ends of spectrum with little middle ground. On the one end, you’ve got those who enjoy the “community” aspect here, forge offline friendships etc, and post accordingly. And then you’ve got those who embrace the “internet” aspect of the forums, truly don’t seem to care about maintenance of online persona, popularity etc.

Clearly that former group stands to gain more from the forums, though possibly at the (unwitting) expense of self-expression. But my point is that I actually have no clue as to where DBC falls.

I have had enough interactions with DB to know when he is fucking with people, when he goes on a rant and when he is being insightful. There are certain posters that have no other view than know it all attitude, self righteous and condescending posts. Could be an age gap but to me most of it seems to come from an average IQ and lack of accountability due to being on the internet.

That image of me box-squatting naked is seared in your brain, isn’t it? Well here’s a tip for you. Just like naked box-squats can be dangerous to your balls, hang cleans/snatches can be dangerous for your cock. I found that out the hard way too, sort of.

I thought that watching my cock swing around from the powerful hip thrust involved with the cleans and snatches would be really cool to watch in my mirror. Well, the first time I did a power clean from a hang position I BARELY hit the tip of my dick with the bar on the the way up and that was enough to move to snatches from a hang instead.

I didn’t hit my cock, but that’s because I was too aware of it flinging itself around like one of those big blowup dolls they use outside of car dealerships. I wasn’t pulling the bar in a straight path close to my body and was arcing it out in front of me too much, so I was losing all control of heavier weight once I got it up overhead since it was kind of moving back and up instead of just straight up. That makes it really hard to pull yourself underneath the bar cleanly.

Anyways, I found that I was able to clean and snatch without any worries when pulling from the floor instead. Maybe my form just isn’t that good off the floor (I pretty much only clean/snatch from a hang or off of blocks) but the bar doesn’t seem to come as close to my dick (and there’s a LOT there to come close to, believe me…).

So, the lesson learned is that when performing varieties of the Olympic lifts whilst naked, I recommend pulling from the floor rather than from a hang position if you don’t want to clip your dick on the way up with the bar. The deeper position you get into to pull off the floor gives you a MUCH better look at your cock and your balls too, And it also gives you a longer path to generate more momentum upwards, which leads to a bigger shaft swing to look at in the mirror.

^I can’t believe I just read most of that lol. It’s simple math really…

Cock Talk (soon to be new show on the WB network)
Classic DB right there.

Okay DB you got any predictions yet for Playoffs?

Or should we just stick to Division winners and leave the WC for a few more weeks?

Shit, what happens in the playoffs is anyone’s guess at this point. I will say this, although I don’t think I’m out on much of a limb here. The Falcons will not win a playoff game this year.

Why would I think otherwise? Ryan has never proven he can win the big games and they don’t LOOK like an undefeated team in my mind. I always worry about teams that come out playing with their ass on fire to start the season. That usually means they won’t be playing that way when the time comes for the playoffs. Look at the last two Super Bowl winners: 9-7 records in the regular season.

I think what will happen is this: NFC West: 49ers NFC North: Packers NFC South: Falcons NFC East: Giants wild cards: Bears and Seattle
AFC West: Broncos AFC North: Bengals AFC South: Texans AFC East: Patriots wild cards: Steelers and Ravens (yes, three teams from the North)

I think the NFC Championship Game will be a rematch of last year’s. I’m hoping the Niners win it, but if I were betting man I’d have all my money on New York.

Over in the AFC I think it’s Houston and everyone else. I think it’ll be them versus the Patriots in the AFC Championship and then it’ll be Giants over Texans in the Super Bowl.

I agree with your NFC except I’ll take the Bears to win the division and Packers as WC.

In the AFC, the Bengals already have 3 division losses and are down 2.5 games to the Ravens; no way they take the division. Either Pittsburgh or Baltimore will win the division, and the other will get the first AFC WC spot.

I like Miami for the other WC.

So ahh who is this Aqib Talib fellow?

In other news… I’ve only pick 43 games right this year against the spread. There are people (in an 85 person pool) that have missed entire weeks and have significantly more picks than I do.

Wow, I am awful.

I was in a pick 'em league once and my total for the year was under 35%. A fucking chimp could make better picks, and that is why I don’t gamble.

I stopped because I would pick Pittsburgh every week no matter who they were playing which is stupid. I didn’t want to put a hex on the team. I’m very superstitious on game day.

Jesus, what’s wrong with us Beans lol! Plan for the worst and hope for the best I suppose.

Pats picking up Talib was pretty pretty shrewd. I wanted Pittsburgh to grab him but knew the GM would never go for it.

Pretty cheap pick up and helps an awful secondary.

If they can cover it helps the rush, a better rush helps them cover. The linebackers eat up anything within ten yards of the line, we need dudes that can cover for 2-3 seconds, and that D gets much better much faster.

Chung needs to stay healthy though. God I miss Rondey Harrison.

I know the Bungles are a long shot to take that division, but I gotta throw a real dark horse in there, you know? I think you’re right though. The reality is that the Bengals are probably as likely to miss the playoffs entirely as they are to win their division.

Sean Peyton’s contract extension was just voided by the NFL, so he’s a free agent after this year.

Are replacement refs doing the Skins game?
