Jason Garrett is just a bad coach. Bottom line.
Not as bad as Crennel though lol!

LOL You and me both. It just pisses me off that people in there don’t automatically acquiesce to my obviously superior baseball intellect. If they would just assume everything I say in there is the Gospel According to DB Cooper then things would be different. But they just haven’t seen the light.
Hilarious. And that defense of HC-Harbaugh was decent enough.
I also found Derek’s above comment interesting. Among non-trolls, it seems there’s two ends of spectrum with little middle ground. On the one end, you’ve got those who enjoy the “community” aspect here, forge offline friendships etc, and post accordingly. And then you’ve got those who embrace the “internet” aspect of the forums, truly don’t seem to care about maintenance of online persona, popularity etc.
Clearly that former group stands to gain more from the forums, though possibly at the (unwitting) expense of self-expression. But my point is that I actually have no clue as to where DBC falls.

I have had enough interactions with DB to know when he is fucking with people, when he goes on a rant and when he is being insightful. There are certain posters that have no other view than know it all attitude, self righteous and condescending posts. Could be an age gap but to me most of it seems to come from an average IQ and lack of accountability due to being on the internet.
Plus you got to admire a guy who box squats naked. I mean come on

You agree with this, Derek?
From FoxSports:
. With 83 seconds to play, the ball on the Giants’ 28 and three timeouts in its pocket, Dallas faced second-and-1 and somehow never ran the ball once to get a new set of downs.
Cowboys coach Jason Garrett had QB Tony Romo throw the ball three straight times. Two fell incomplete, the last was picked off.
You have to run the ball on third down. I don?t care if they know it?s coming. I don?t care that Felix Jones is unreliable and already had a critical fumble. Tony Boo Boo is unreliable, too. Tony Boo Boo threw four interceptions on Sunday.
Jason Garrett is an idiot.
First we dont know if Romo changed the play on the line of scrimmage due to coverage etc.
Second Garrett has shown his lack of being able to handle being HC at this point, OC is probably where he needs to stay for awhile.
I also heard yet again yesterday on Sirius about the discussion of Sean Peyton waiting in the wings and watching everything that is going on at Dallas.

Buddy I don’t think Garret is REALLY doing the Head Coaching thing as much as papa Jerry is. Meaning, Garret doesn’t have to be the Cowboys figurehead or out front at press conferences, etc.
Whatever is happening with the formula in Dallas right now is not working, we all know this.
But really, the Dallas formula hasn’t really worked solid since Switzer and Johnson, can we agree?
What I like about the Giants is exactly what I don’t necessarily care for in Dallas. The 'Boys are the Jets of the NFC East
edit
And Deej I hope you know I’m not trying to be insulting.

Switzer just rode Jimmy’s players (and Deion) to a SB win. I’ve always wondered how many rings that team would have won if Jones and Johnson had been able to coexist.

Didn’t he complete like 18 passes to the TE? I mean it’s not like he wasn’t completing the ball. I agree they should have run, but at the same time how often do you see teams waste a ton of time in the last 2 minutes because they have time outs only to end up not using them. It’s hard to hand the ball off to an inconsistent back.
On another note thank God Garrett didn’t accept the Ravens job!

No worries my friend, we have known each other on here long enough you will not offend me.
I got to go do a couple of physicals will respond in a bit.
Problem with Dallas is like a lot of teams in the NFL (this is from some reliable sources) is the myopic view of running the organization. We all have ways of seeing things, NFL GM’s/Owners etc draft players and run an organization like they always do. So when they get into this type of spiral instead of bringing in successful outside consultants to get a new view they just keep pushing instead the spiral down. JJ is an arrogant but successful business man, problem is he wants to run the Cowboys like he ran his oil business. He doesnt want someone to tell him how to run things, only partial success the Cowboys have had since he took over has been with Johnson and Parcells. Both ran things like they know how to run things as football guys, Cowboys will never be successful until JJ steps back and lets the football guys run things. However he will be just like Al Davis and slowly spiral down to even below mediocre. So until he dies we are fucked, just like Raiders fans.
You know what Dallas should have done on 2nd and 1? Used one of the most effective and vastly underused plays of all time… QB Sneak.
The only team I see run this with any sort of consistency is New England, and it works… Especially on non obvious downs/situations (not on 4th and 1/goal with the jumbo set personnel in the game)

Yea ask Shaub what he thinks about the QB sneak.

0_0 you became a dad.
Fuck I didnt know that congrats welcome to the brotherhood. (bring Jack and Coke zero)
What you doing for work? Did you get done with school?
Oh and yea it does work most of the time, I think Garrett sometimes try’s to outsmart the DC and ends up getting to cute or to fucking basic.

That reminded me of this play:
I hope Troy gets healthy and can do that crazy stuff again soon. Mundy just doesnt cut it.

Mundy is terrible. The Ryan Clark/Will Allen combo has been pretty damn good though.
I don’t think Troy has those plays in him anymore. I hope I’m wrong, because he was fun as hell to watch when he was in his prime.

Nobody is as bad as Romeo " I don’t know why my best offensive player only got 5 touches" Crennel. Fat idiot.

I just don’t see Jerry making that BIG of an admission that he fucked up. He let Peyton go, and I just can’t believe he’d admit he screwed it that bad. I HOPE he would, but doubt it.
I am hearing a lot of Steven Jackson trade talk.
