Manning factor you think?
I think that makes it worse. On that team, he should have been a stud beyond compare.

Unless we are saying the OLine there could only pass block.
Why do you think Marshal Faulk left when Manning took the reigns?
just assumed it was $$$ he was holding out before they traded him. Edge came in and had two 1500+ seasons then just couldnt stay healthy but looked as if he was ave about 350 carries a year when he was healthy
I am sure it was partially money no doubt, I still think he saw that this was Mannings team and always would be. Hard to judge this cause RB have a very, very short shelf life

could be he didnt want to share the limelight, James did come in and have more carries than faulk ever did in a season as a colt so dont know if I would say it was because of potential lack of touches. and yeah most rb’s are lucky to play at a high level for more than 6 years.

but anyways talking current anybody think manning is crazy for coming back with having that type of injury and multi surgeries? know the guys a competitor and all but man dont think he has much left to prove anyways.

^ Yes he does his little brother has more bling

Having had the same thing, but in the lower back, no he should be solid… As far as the area they fixed in my back, it’s perfect. The bones are fused and that part is solid. I am having a rare complication in the musculature called ‘denervation’ that has caused some edema and is rather painful. In layman’s terms, he cut my lower lumbar muscle with a dull rusty knife, the nerves back there were very damaged and fluid is built up around them causing swelling and pain. This rarely happens, I am one of the 1%'s who have this kind of issue.
Peyton’s surgery was higher up and his muscle is apparently not fucked up like mine so he should be tip top… I expect this to effect him exactly zero percent.

I did. I already thought his intelligence was holding him back, but having sat out for a year and an injury like that at his age I think he would be much better off coaching. I hope he was able to get some steroids.

Lol at the roids comment.

Peyton has been on record with many that he will not be coaching after his career is over, he totally plans on going into broadcasting.

I dont know really. Denver’s Defense really stood out last year honestly and Fox knows how to coach the D. If they have that balance, then they could make a run I think.

I would put money that they are a 10 win team.

the teams in the afc west are mediocre so they could easily make a playoff push, just dont think they could hang with the top afc teams.
plus i was just a little disapointed he didnt go to the niners and I dont know why, not really a SF fan- was pulling for them in nfc championship last year though

^ same here, just have to wait and see how the team “gels” I guess. I think that D is better than what he had in Indy.

didnt know if this should be a seperate thread but is there gonna be another tnation fantasy league this year? i want back in again if so.

^ Yes I was going to start it next week once the HOF game was done and kind of waiting for West Coast to start it if he wanted since he is the Commish

Ya, they got half-way through the playoffs with Tebow completing less than 10 passes in some (most?) games. Add in an already legendary QB (assuming he can still play like he used to) and I’d say they’re contendors. Not a definite, but if they do it right they could get there.

Exactly what I was thinking, I wonder if N Moreno is going to pan out, so far he has been fragile
Derek542 wrote:

They ran the ball there to set up the pass, and if a RB is not carrying 20+ a game he is not going to be an outstanding back.
Easy answer: like last year’s Broncos, it was God’s will for M Faulk to join an even more potent offense.

Actual answer: via wiki - Faulk was traded to the St. Louis Rams the following season due to problems he referred to as “misunderstandings.”[citation needed] Faulk had missed practices and was considered holding out for a new contract. Colts president Bill Polian did not want his young team’s chemistry damaged, so he traded Faulk for second- and fifth-round picks in the upcoming draft (used to draft LB Mike Peterson and DE Brad Scioli). The Colts moved on at the position, drafting Edgerrin James in the first round. Faulk held out for twelve days as the details of his contract were worked out. On August 4, 1999, Faulk signed a seven-year, $45.2 million contract with the Rams, which was the biggest deal in team historyâ?? at the time. In it Faulk was guaranteed $9.6 million including a $7-million signing bonus. The problem in negotiations was the proposed fifth year, in which Faulk would get $7 million in salary and a $5-million roster bonus.

Okay I know you guys hate the Cowboys, but you HAVE to go to the 13 minute mark and listen to JJ. You will not be disappointed. And then the 39 minute mark.
The Cowboys don’t scare me. I have faith in Romo’s ability to blow it at the most crucial moment still. The last thing they needed, ol’ Dez gettin’ in trouble.

I mean seriously, how hard is it? I am not exactly a model citizen but I manage to keep my happy ass out of prison… What the fuck, seriously? It’s just not that hard to stay out of trouble…
.
Well time will tell with Romo if he had a top 10 defense and then choked I would agree, however he has not.

Dez’s mom is 38 years old and he grew up in the “hood”, he has not been arrested for drugs, alcohol or any other violence. His mom went off asking for $ is what I would imagine and then she is probably fucking crazy on top of that. If you had millions of dollars in the bank how many relatives would show up at your door?
Obvious Cowgirls fan here. So if a family member asks you for money, it’s now ok to assault them? How hard is it to NOT put your hands on your mom? Any other violence? Haha, so he has to be violent more than once for you to admit he fucked up? Horrible.

All everyone talks about here is RG3. There’s really something to be said about this area’s ability to hype up anything that has to do with the Redskins. I love them, but I’m not expecting much. As long as we win more games than last year I’ll be happy. I listen to sports talk radio all day and there are actually idiots around here who think we can get to the SB.

I want to see if Peyton can stay healthy and what they will do if he does.
My comment was about the fact we do not know the true story and you obviously have limited experience with other socio economic cultures. So I will let that slide. I will admit he fucked up he should stay away from his “crew” and family, however there are MUCH worse offenders this off season. But if a Cowboy player ends up in the news in a negative light all the haters come out of the shadows.
Haha, I was born and raised in PG county (the “ghetto” area of MD, according to the rest of the state, aside from BMore, of course) and have worked for Social Services for years. But at least you were able to admit that he fucked up. So you’re not as blind a fan as you initially sounded.

I wonder how the NY fans will take him being there. Think they’ll love him like Denver did?

They will love anyone that brings them wins.
