I feel honored to personally have witnessed one of the worst collapses in football history. It seems like something only the Chargers or Cowboys would do. Perhaps Rivers are Romo were twins separated at birth?

Sigh.
I didnt even watch the game last night, was my 13 year anniversary. But sounded like I missed a hell of a comeback.
DB would this be you if you saw me in my Cowboys gear after the loss Sunday?
Well Ravens it was fun…The offense better start acting “Elite” like they say they are.
I think posting a pic of Ray on the OP of this thread is like the Madden curse, THANKS A LOT!!

I don’t know man that’s a tough one. I think the fan in me says he come back. His presence is so big in this town that I think he won’t allow his legacy to end like this. At the same time though he talks a lot about life, his family, etc… that he just might retire. There’s not much else he can do in football at this point. The Ravens were a contender for sure, but now it’s gonna be really tough to get through the AFC, not just because of Lewis, but next year if they heal up they should be legit again. Lewis might come back for one last shot because of this. I just hope things don’t end for him like they did Favre.
Tough call for sure, I was 37 a few years ago and I can say that you dont heal like you used to. I just dont know if he can come back at the top level and that would hurt his ego. Yea it sucks to be put out by injury, but its football. Many, many players are put out by injury.

True. The only good thing is that he’s had a triceps injury in the past so I imagine he has a good understanding of what rehab will be like and if he can be ready.
One of his kids is a freshman at Miami this year, which I think will play a big part in the decision.

QFT.
I think the Lewis hype is over blown, but I hate to see anyone go down like that.
I was inbetween dinner and playing with my son, getting him bathed and working on a project in the garage while the Broncos comeback began. Wife and I sat down at the beginning of the 4th quarter, mouths agape.
It’s like watching an intense carcrash, half hoping it ends soon and half giddy for the next terrible thing that happens.
Denvers Defense shut it down in the 4th. Manning will get the praise and be the lead photo for all the headlines today, but that defense kept them in it and at the end of the game, but them to sleep.
Rivers gets a big part of the credit too though. And NORV. Why they abandoned the running game in the 2nd half was silly to me. Matthews and Brown were chewing up yardage in the 1st, so I don’t understand why they kept forcing the pass. Things weren’t that desperate in the third to fully commit to throwing the ball the rest of the game.
Anyway, MAD props to Denver.
Happy anniversary Deej.

I donno man. He was 11th in the league in tackles before Sunday at 37. He’s gotta be one of the best of all time at his position.
As for Ray Lewis,
I’m sad about his injury. No one wants to have to deal with that. I’m sure there are many of us who have suffered a big injury and know how it feels to think “shit man, things aren’t ever going to be the same.”
I think he’ll give it a go next season. While his tricep is toast the rest of his body won’t be taking the regular beating this year. He’ll get himself fit and be as good as he can for the beginning of the year. Whether he’ll be effective is another story, though.
You can kind of tell he’s got retirement in his plan though, as many endorsements and commercials as he’s doing? He’s getting paid, setting himself up.

One of the best? Sure. But the ball washing GOAT stuff is a bit too much.
I have respect for him, and wish he played for the Pats, but I just get tired of the mega hype. He deserves praise and is a damn, damn good ball player no doubt.

I’ve never been a fan of the GOAT crap myself.

btw I changed it to Rivers and Cutler. Not sure if people would notice, lol
but seriously, I think I saw 3 plays yesterday from Norv. Screen pass to Mathews, up the gut run by Mathews, or deep ball for interception (I think the interception is part of the play-call now).
DC in Philly fired. Reid probably retires at end of season.
Norv Turner and GM Smith probably both gone after the season in San Diego.
My money says Cower takes one of those spot as HC.
Lewis comes back for another season too.

Cower is done, he’ll be pushing pencils for the rest of his career. Now Gruden, that’s a different story.

I know he says he’s done but I just got a funny feeling about it this time.
