Taking Giants with the points against the niners…

I think the niners will win a close one…

Can the Giants ever play the niners in Jersey?
I just saw this about Harbaugh. I guess the Giants OC, Kevin Gilbride, said that Justin Smith gets away with murder because he holds on every play. Harbaugh made some sort of statement that basically said Gilbride was an incendiary jerk for even insinuating that a player of Smith’s level wasn’t a clean player or that his greatness was somehow from cheating or getting away with it or whatever.

I love Harbaugh, but for fuck’s sake has this guy been to a psychiatrist recently? Sometimes I wonder whether Harbaugh is intense or intensely insane. I guess he’s just trying to create something that can give the Niners a reason to put another chip on their shoulder at a time when they may be a little over-confident. But sometimes I think he might go a little overboard. But I still fucking love it. The guy is the best coach in professional sports as far as I’m concerned.
I believe it is still at 6.5, Im also taking the over, I think it will be relatively high scoring.

Coulda just said that in the MLB thread -_-

Anyhow, Arian Foster seems like an interesting guy (apparently they call him a Renaissance man. Saw the short post-game interview on ESPN. Where the hell did this guy come from? I’m admittedly not very much of a college football fan so I don’t know if he was big in college. I just remember hearing about this rookie who was rushing for 100+ yards in multiple games a couple of years ago. I saw the same thing from Chris Johnson so I thought nothing of it at the time, thinking he’d wear down the hype eventually. To my surprise it looks like the guy is a top 3 RB in the league, if not the best.
Was an undrafted FA from University of Tennessee. He has been a vegetarian since Freshman year at UT and became full Vegan about 2 years ago. He was average at UT with some flashes, what has made him outstanding is the Shanny/Kubiak zone blocking system. Foster knows how to make that one cut and get the most out of it.

Look up Terrell Davis, this is TD in Houston.
Gruden made a comparison of him to Ricky Waters. I can’t really dissagree with that.

Foster is legit, as is Houstons OL.

Man I’m really tired of ESPN rooting for the Jets though. It was pretty brutal last night. They aren’t loveable, they aren’t really all that good. I don’t understand it one bit.

Terrico, who by any standards is a great play by play guy, was purely sucking the Jets dick like he was a hometown guy.

Which, since he’s working for ESPN, he is I suppose.
Hmmm all I heard was a lot of dick sucking of JJ Watt which is deserved. But already calling him a Hall of famer…lets slow down. I didnt hear too much green dick sucking at all.

I dont know why you guys are so surprised of the over coverage of the Jets. You have two of the most polarizing, controversial figures in the NFL on the same team. You have a big mouth blow hard coach in Ryan and Captain Christian in Tebow. People who love Tebow and Ryan will tune in and the same goes for the haters who are chomping at the bit to see him fail.

What I find so ironic is in my 37 years on this earth nobody outside of the tri-state area could give a flying fuck about the Jets, now for the past 3 1/2 years we are inundated and people are crying. If the Jets really shit the bed this year (which is a very real possibility) Ryan may get fired and I pray he becomes a problem of another team so I can start pissing and moaning.
Matty I don’t want to see anyone fail, but I want teams to get the coverage they deserve. The Jets are getting a ton of attention for no real reason other than a bunch of polarizing story lines, and it’s not only annoying, it’s boring.

I think the recieving corps is going to improve now that Holmes is out. Not sure if he’s always crying for the ball or if the coaching staff is making him the #1 guy, but your recievers looked pretty good overall, and Sanchez was able to spread the ball around pretty well on certain drives.

Silver linings.
Oh I agree, Im bored with it myself, but Im not surprised that they are getting coverage because of the controversial figures.

Honestly though, they have w/o a doubt the worst offense in the league…those receivers are deplorable. Clyde Gates, Chaz Schillens and Jason Hill? Jason Hill was working at Target 2 weeks ago!

While you may not want to see the Jets fail, I think most people on this thread would love to see Ryan, Sanchez and Tebow shit the bed.
I’d like to see Tebow converted to OLB he’d at least be as good as what the Jets have now and he could only get better and wouldn’t take every other play off.
Lol, Line this fucker up everywhere, LB, RB, QB, TE, FB this guy has so much pent up energy he would be fine.

Man you never know in the NFL. One week some teams suck and the next week they kick some ass.

Well I guess we will not see DB till next 49rs win

Haha, it’s only one game. Should be a good Thursday night game against the Seahawks coming up. Seems the Hawks are legit even thought I think there head coach is a douche.

I picked a bad week to have Drew Brees have a bye in my fantasy league. I plugged Alex Smith in that spot and he took a huge dump on my team.

Well this Sunday night game is a dud. Are the Texans as good as their record shows? Rodgers is shredding that defense.

Its such a week-to-week league, and public perception is why bookmakers love NFL season.

Textbook example is how A Luck and his Colts were on top of the world while the Jets were banged-up and miserable. Feels like ages ago now…

Hahahahhahahahhahahahahhahaha

<3 you DB

RG3 MVP… has totally transformed the Skins offense. They didn’t score 30 pts all last season, now it’s the norm. Ok, I’m biased, but the dude is lighting it up.

Awful football weekend. Pats cover the deep ball like Obama debated. And piss away like 5 chances to win that game.

Lost both fantasy leagues…

Fuck this week in football.

X 2

Lost 3 out of my 4 leagues and two of those I have Brady as my QB.

Only bright spot at least Dallas did not play like shit, they ran the ball with authority against the Ravens.

 1. The Texans are so fucking fun to watch, but they got handled last night. GB is GB again. But JJ Watts from Houston is a fucking BEAST and apparently his mojo is contagious because other DL’s were getting tips last night too.

 2. WTF San Fran. Victor Cruz is a full grown man in the body of a sly fox and he WORKED SF’s secondary like symphony.

 3. Seattle is REAL good.

 4. Detoit was barealy top tier last year. This year it’s not so much.

 5. Baltimores’ hard noses are creating injuries all over the place. Ngata’s injury is worse than advertised. Keep an eye on the rough patch they’re going to have until they get healthy.

 6. I want to be Robin Williams to Romo’s Good Will Hunting and tell him “It’s not your fault…” Dez Bryant isn’t the pass catcher the ‘Boys need. He’s not that good. Romo put that 2pt conversion right on his outside shoulder and Bryant didn’t come through. He’s got less clutch than my grand dads’ 1968 Ford dump truck.

 7. I’m excited for the SD Denver matchup tonight. These two teams always bang, it’ll be interesting to see these guys game plan for the others’ offence.

I’ll be at the game tonight. Should be a thriller down to the end, hopefully with a Chargers victory. I hope to see Matthews a lot more involved than Battle this game. He has a lot more explosiveness and hasn’t fumbled since his first game back.

Im shocked that the niners were outplayed in every way yesterday. Big ups to Ahamd Bradshaw and the Jints sticking with the run, and the Offensive line, Eli faced no pressure at all, a stark comparison from last year. D line showed up, Cruz and Hixon were awesome.

Watch out for David Wilson, the guy is an electric runner.

Ahhh and my Jets, its crazy how they are actually in first place. FINALLY their D line showed up, Shonn Greene actually ran with authority, Next week against the pats should be fun. Ill give the coaching staff credit they have had 2 back to back good game plans with the limited offensive ability they have.

Antonio Cromartie has really stepped up since Revis has gone, totally dominated both Wayne and Johnson in back to back games.

that was just some damn good football yesterday. One of the best weeks yet.

Agreed for the most part

So can Norv get fired now?
