Green Bays pass D is just awful plus some bad calls from the refs. But by no means am I taking anything from San Fran. Defense is just too damn stacked. They would give Brady a headache.
There were some shit calls for sure, but good teams play good enough to overcome bad calls…

San Fran looked like a beast yesterday.

X2.

That team is going to be fun to follow. They’re playing the style I love to see.

I foolishly thought SF’s secondary wasn’t as strong as the rest of the defense, but I was wrong. That pass play broken up at the end of the game yesterday was impressive.

Sunday nights’ game agains Detroit is going to be more than likely one-sided in SF’s favor, but what’s for sure is they are going to bang. Good stuff

I’m happy my team won (Texans) and amazed that the frigging Redskins beat the Saints. Holy shit. But to be honest the only real surprises I had were the Broncos beating the Steelers like that, how badly the Bears beat the Colts (I thought it’d be closer) and yeah, that the Skins beat the saints. Most of the rest of the matchups didn’t end in surprises
The Saints were a surprise considering how many games they won in a row at the superdome. I wouldn’t say the Broncos win was a surprise because playing in Denver is pretty rough. If the Broncos could beat them last year with Tebow, then they sure as hell should have been able to do it with Manning.
Denvers’ defense looked porous, allowing Big Ben to do work all game long. Pitt is going to be fine offensively. Their recievers got things done and were creative. I like Pitts’ recieving corps.

But jesus those three sacks Denver laid down at the end of the game were a great big fuckin’ punctuation on what Denver is looking to do this season. You could talk about Manning all day long, but McGahee, Moreno, and Ball are a good trio of RB’s that will take pressure off the passing game.

Are the Cleveland Browns EVER going to get their shit straight?

SF put te rest of the league on notice. Last year wasn’t some fluke. My Niners are gonna roll people this year.

Who’s got it better than us?

Nobooooooooooooooooooooooooooooody!!!

Also, I was talking to my buddy about this before the season and I called an all Harbaugh Super Bowl. I was telling him that I think the Ravens D would be back and playing ferociously this year because it’ll be Lewis and Reeds last season. One big blowout push or a Super Bowl and then ride off into the subset. I don’t know if that’s true or not… But they did look really good last night lol

They definitely looked great against the Pack, like almost all top level teams though INJURIES will be key. If they stay healthy then could for sure be in the SB, couple of key injuries then not so much. Will be fun to see, I think the Boys finally have a Defense so good to see possible replay of the 90’s with the 49rs and Boys.

I almost feel sorry for them. Let me think about it one more time…nope, still don’t care.

Actually I do feel for the hardcore fans that support the the team through thick and thin.

DJ did you by chance happen to see that dude clean Jerry Jones glasses between plays? HAHAHAHAHA, must be nice to be that wealthy.

It is his son in law I believe.

You best believe the man that wants to sleep with my daughter is fucking cleaning my glasses for me. That is the least he could do.

^ That is his son in law. And yes I did catch that and thought FUCK someone is going to make a comment about that for sure. Sigh.

You okay BJB, after week one, what do you think? I only watched the first half, had to go to bed and didnt see the way Pitt played in the second half. You think Harrison and Clark not playing had a lot to do with it?

I brought up that same senario to a coworker lastnight who also happens to be a Ravens fan. The two styles are so similar in the fact that they try to pulverise you on both sides of the ball.

Niners LB’s are the most impressive group on the team imo. Pleasure to watch.

I was watching the game when it happened and right away (after I stopped laughing) I knew what I had to do.

This year is going to be a work in progress. OL cannot stay healthy, it’s fucking ridiculous at this point. Not sure what Gilberts injury was was to pull him out of the game but I’m really starting to doubt the kids toughness. Haley has his work cut out for him.

WO’s looked pretty good. Brown is a real weapon out there. Didn’t really go deep to Wallace, maybe once, then again BB was running for his life most times as per the course.

Redman was awfull but his back up Dwyer looked allright. Mendy when he comes back will help, especially on third down passing plays. He’s really improved every year in that aspect of his game.

Timmons and Woodly were ghosts.

Heath Miller was fantastic as always. Need more Miller in redzone!

edit/ I should add to the fact that Denver, when they had the ball played very well and made Pittsburghs D look very average…and tired.

^^Denver is going to be very good this year. At least 10 wins

In that division I say 11-5 maybe 12-4, I think the D was underrated after what they did last year with the Bust Tebow at QB. John Fox with Del Rio at DC knows how to coach the D and with Manning at the QB they will always be in the game till the end.

I know you all are mostly east coasters and didn’t see the Raiders/Chargers last night, but the Raiders looked like they were playing pro-ball.

Up until the point where they weren’t. Too many penalties put SD in good field position. I don’t really like Rivers at all, but when he has Gates on the field things do happen.

There’s going to be some fun matchups in the AFC West this year. I think Denver, Oakland, and SD are going to beat each other up a little. I was surprised by SD’s defense, though maybe Oaklands’ offense really isn’t that good.

I admittedly had a couple of beers, so maybe what I saw wasn’t what I saw.

It’s not just the Browns, this year has been one of the worst I can remember as a Cleveland sports fan. I know that sounds like it’s the norm, but the die-hards have at least had things worth rooting for while we lose, this year is just a pile-on of bad shit happening, with no end in sight(Weedon looked awful, Haden suspended 4 games, Richardson looked every bit like a rookie that was injured for all of preseason, etc). Kyrie Irving is like the one good thing happening in this entire city. We can’t even do our Buckeyes by proximity thing because they are banned from Big-10 playoffs/bowls this season…

Ya I mad.

I would be to, they have a history for Christ sake. The Defense looked decent or the Eagles are in real trouble. They seem snake bit

I don’t blame you one bit man.

It has to especially sting since OSU is really good, Miller is a beast, and Meyer is at the helm, yet no dance for you.

Weedon will be ok, I really believe it.

Vick was embarrassing. And shame on Reid. They do realize they have a pretty powerful RB back there right? Run the bastard. Just awful on all fronts.

Red, did/do you like McCoy? Would you rather have him at the helm? I didnt look down on him as much as others did last year. When I heard trade rumors a month ago or so about him possibly heading to GB, I was pumped. As a backup, I thought he would fit quite well.
