NFL 2012

Well color me surprised.

Got to give it to the Cowboys, they showed up and played ball. Good start to their season.

Only question is can they do that at the end of the season?

That will always be the question until they do it.

I will say as a Cowboys fan for 30 years this was the first Goal Line stand I have seen in over 8 years. I believe that at this point this team has put aside the old school “super star” players and played more like a team than a long fucking time.

Plus this was a excise the demons game for the boys, Eli has had their number for a few years now also.

^ D.Ware when it’s all said and done imo will be mentioned with the heavy hitters of Cowboys past(and there is alot of them), ie: Bob Lilly, the top dog in my mind but thats cause I’m old lol.

He blasted some poor fucker with a Reggie White shoulder swat and the guy flew out of camera range, the move to get the OL off balance in the first place was perfect technique. Not sure what he does poorly.

49ers

Packers

That’s all that matters today.

Mr. and Mr. Smith need to make it happen.

We are on the same page here. One of the best matchups of the year.

Anyone have a site for live streams of games?

I can’t find a legit one.

There is gonna be a fucking riot in Lambeau.

RG3 - real deal, as a skeptic, the man can play some ball.

Jesus Christ. David Akers just doinked a 63-yarder off the crossbar in Green Bay to give the Niners a 13-7 lead at the half. Tied an NFL record, which in my mind may as well BE the record since the other 63-yarder was at altitude in Denver.

edit: Never mind. I forgot about Janikowski’s last year and apparently some other fucker back in the 70’s did it too. Not sure where.

Green Bays pass D is just awful plus some bad calls from the refs. But by no means am I taking anything from San Fran. Defense is just too damn stacked. They would give Brady a headache.

That was an epic kick for sure, I bust out laughing when it came up good.

The GB/SF game lived up to the hype. I believe the 49ers are currently the best team in the NFC. The Defense is just scary and the offense has improved nicely(although they went up against a defense that cant cover a bed or tackle shit). Great game. The refs were quite awful though for both sides.

Yeah, great game. The Niners sure did live up to the hype and at the same time, quell a lot of the doubters. They really are the best team in the NFC right now, hands down. I thought their coaching staff did a tremendous job with the defensive game plan, basically forcing Rodgers to dink and dunk the ball and use the middle of the field, and therefore more clock, than he’s used to using. They forced Green Bay to use a passing attack that essentially mimicked a running attack since it used a lot of clock, which is exactly where the Niners want to get teams.

The way the Niners can run the ball and win the field position battle with their superior defense and Andy Lee punting the shit out of everything, every game against the top teams on their schedule (NO, NE, NY) is going to come down to how efficient Alex Smith plays. I don’t expect him to start lighting things up, but despite their success rate today, he looks capable of becoming much more efficient on third down, which is huge for a ball-control team like the Niners.

The fact is that their style of play is going to translate well from week to week since they’re so solid across the board, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they ended up with the best record in the NFC when all is said and done. They’re fucking stacked.

What happened to the Saints? I wonder if they are really missing Sean Peyton on offense. I guess it’s Brees first game with an under 50% completion since 2007.

Bah! Disappointing loss. Manning looked great and the Steelers are just beat up.

It’s a disappointing loss for my fantasy team! I lost by a point and had Matt Prater. The 2 point conversion screwed me.

On another note, since when are we having Thursday night games every week?

I’m happy my team won (Texans) and amazed that the frigging Redskins beat the Saints. Holy shit. But to be honest the only real surprises I had were the Broncos beating the Steelers like that, how badly the Bears beat the Colts (I thought it’d be closer) and yeah, that the Skins beat the saints. Most of the rest of the matchups didn’t end in surprises

The Saints were a surprise considering how many games they won in a row at the superdome. I wouldn’t say the Broncos win was a surprise because playing in Denver is pretty rough. If the Broncos could beat them last year with Tebow, then they sure as hell should have been able to do it with Manning.
