Wow that was ballsy and, I might add, commendably so.

Now this was dumb. I assume u watched the game, so take that tie and be happy with it.

What was stupid about that? I was AT the fucking game.

Cam Newton seems so bipolar sometimes. He looks like he is pouting and so upset when things don’t go his way. Later in the game he is having a good drive and breaking off a few nice runs and he gets up points his hand to give the first down signal and is all smiles. I don’t know the guy just gets on my nerves.
He’s a baby, that’s why. When you spend half your life being told how great you are, you can’t handle shit when it doesn’t go your way. He has more ability and talent then anybody I have ever seen, but he can’t handle adversity. That’s where he gets on my nerves, but hell it’s his second year. He’ll be fine when he grows up.

Well, Alex Smith will never see the field as a starter again, barring injury. I don’t even know how to explain it really, but Kaepernick just doesn’t look or carry himself like a player with as little experience as he has. He looks like he’s been doing this in the NFL for several years now. You typically see moments of confusion from the quarterback throughout the game when he hasn’t made more than a couple starts in the NFL. Not from Kaepernick though. He also looks like he’s really cleaned up his throwing motion since last year.
Kaepernick has played 2 games. He looks great, no doubt, but 2 games don’t mean shit. Can he win without his best stuff? Can he win when half his o-line is injured? Can he grind out wins?

The league is QB starved, I wouldn’t count out Smith as a starter just yet. This draft class isn’t as QB rich as the last one.
Not many QBs can win with an injured offensive line. If it weren’t for Akers’ bum leg he would have ground out a win against St. Louis a couple weeks ago.

Besides, are you and I watching the same player? In his only two starts he’s already shown he’s much more capable and dangerous than Smith ever was. We know what Smith will do every week. Essentially, Smith’s ceiling is Kaepernick’s floor. He just DID win without his best stuff anyways. If you think what he’s featured so far is his best stuff then you’re delusional.
I said he looked great, but it’s only 2 games.
Some QB’s start strong, look amazing and then become human. Others grow over a few years and become great. Cam looked like the most amazing QB that ever played last year. This year, he looks human. Of course, his team sucks and the niners are loaded with talent. But I’ll reserve judgement until I have seen him challenged. I respect Smith because he had to work for it with people downing him constantly. What he lacks in talent he made up with hard work and brains.
The difference between Kaepernick and Newton is in their mental makeup and work ethic, and it’s why I think Kaepernick will maintain his success and Newton has not. Newton isn’t a hard worker or a smart guy, really. He got caught cheating multiple times at Florida, which tells me he isn’t a hard worker in the classroom nor is he smart enough to get away with it. He also was caught stealing shit, which tells me he isn’t much of a leader at all either. His Wonderlic score was 21, which is below average for a QB.

Kaepernick’s was 37. I just Googled his GPA while at UNR and it was a 3.9. He’s already shown he’s smart enough to command the most complicated offense in the NFL.

The point is that Kaepernick is a bright guy who has a great work ethic by all accounts. His physical talent and potential is arguably higher than even RG3, given his much larger size. The only question about Kaepernick was about his throwing motion. It’s still a bit elongated, but it’s much, much better than it was in college. He also has a coach who has shown he can coach up a QB as well as anyone in the league in years.

So, yes, he may regress and could even be a complete flash in the pan. But the guy really does have everything you would want in a QB, more so than a guy like Newton or any other guy who has flamed out after a quick start. Kaepernick has all the physical tools that Smith doesn’t have, and he has all the brains and hard work as well. I know I’m biased and all that, but even from a purely objective standpoint, there really isn’t anything NOT to like about Kaepernick. He has all the tools and all the right things around him to sustain his success for a long, long time.
He may be the best thing since sliced bread, or he may have been a little lucky. Only time will tell. I don’t deny his obvious talent, but he will have problems, he will slump, and then we’ll see how great he is.

Handling a major injury is another element. Tom Brady is the example of a successful post major injury career, Carson Palmer is the opposite.

Good Lord Pat you’re a smart sonofabitch.

And I just gotta say, Cam Newton may be the most handsome man in the NFL… He’s certainly better looking than anyone from the two Carolinas.
I blame the players. I mean for real, Andy Reid lost his son did they really think he was going to be effective this year? If I lost my child I pretty sure I wouldn’t give a fuck about football. The team is loaded with talent, but the player won’t play. Yeah, the o-line stinks on ice, but that’s why you have Vick, to run like hell because when the o-line stinks that’s your option. Of course, he won’t be back til next week, but still.
The defense could give the slightest of a shit.

In all regards and hindsight Reid should have taken a season long sabbatical. I could not imagine or come close to comprehending what that dude is going through. And he clearly isn’t devoting enough time to both his football team and his grieving process.

I would probably do the same thing in his shoes. Bury myself in work and other distractions to avoid the inevitable.

Okay question to all the haters.

Brees throws 0=TD and 5=Picks and nobody is calling for him to be thrown out of town?

Sure helped me in fantasy this week, so I’m all for it… lol

He had a shit game during a shit season after signing an anti-shit contract. Why wasn’t illegal contact called on the last pick on the deep ball. (great INT by the safety though.)

Went to bed at half-time.

Fuck I am getting old.

Look him or Brady have a 5 pick game and its chalked up as just that a bad game.

But let Romo or Eli have a game like this and everyone in the media is having a fucking field day with its time to get rid of them.

<---------bitter old man

Tony Romo hasn’t won shit in Dallas. Until he does he isn’t immune to being criticized when he continually throws picks.

Brees HAS won shit and has therefore accumulated several of the proverbial “get out of jail free” cards when he has a rare bad game.

Do you REALLY think there’s any comparison at all between the two scenarios?

Well it is because Eli is Huckfin in a helmet, rube city. Romo… I’ll tell ya what, he never muffs that snap on that kick in that playoff game, or scored on the play, he wouldn’t get 1/4 of the shit he does.

But I hear ya. Tommy Three Ring gets a pass in the media for having the weakest arm of any top tier QB in the league, and constantly bitching about calls, while getting intentional grounding calls like freshman get herpies…

Such is life. At least Romo nails hot chicks and makes good cake.

The criticism Eli gets is pure stupidity. Ive already have heard it this season and the man just one them a SB. I think most NFL fans dont know what the fuck they are talking about.

Romo’s criticism comes from him being a Dallas QB and the slump Dallas has been in for the past years.

Romo sucks big donkey balls you diaper wearing old man.

No, but all I have to do is bring up Romo and people come out of the woodworks.

Yesterday was talking with the staff here. They did not know that Dallas had gone through 11 QB’s between Aikman and Romo. Romo has his issues, but my God we went through a ton of shit to get him.

Brees has won 1 SB

Eli has won 2 SB, but he will get a ton of shit if he had a 5 pick game.

It’s no fun picking on the little guy DJ lol.

I agree with Beans on the bugled snap. Even if Romo wins a SB, folks will still bring that up.

He is an easy target, because like Wilson said, he has that star on his helmet.

Like Rex Ryan’s big fat mouth makes him an easy target…

Anyone see what BArt Scott said about the fans, lol? He sounds frustrated. I don’t feel bad for him.

So who is going to get fired for sure? I say:

Andy Reid
Rex Ryan
Pat Shurmer
and Romeo

Bart Scott’s a fucking goof. Always has been.

Eli wouldn’t get nearly the shit that Romo gets, although he’d get more shit than any other 2-time champ. And in case you haven’t been on the Internet today, Brees IS getting shit.

The reason people come out of the woodworks when Romo is mentioned is because everyone who doesn’t root for Dallas is sick and fucking tired of hearing about him. You want to start throwing around “ifs”?

IF the Cowgirls played anywhere but Dallas or New York they’d be as relevant as the Dolphins or the Panthers. They suck, they have for years on end, their quarterback is as streaky and inconsistent as any in the league and all we hear about is Dallas this, Dallas that.

People come out of the woodworks to watch, listen to and participate in discussions about shit they hate, not shit they love. It’s why Skip Motherfucking Bayless and that abortion of a TV show he’s on are so popular. People like watching shit that gets them riled up and angry for whatever reason. It’s why a lot of liberals still watch FoxNews from time to time and why Rush Limbaugh has listeners.

And then you have all these Cowgirls fans endlessly defending the guy. You can say all you want about Romo but there’s no getting around the fact that QBs are measured in terms of postseason wins and Super Bowls. Joe Montana wasn’t the most statistically-dominant QB of all-time but he’s the greatest ever because he WON.

So when you defend Romo you’re defending a guy who plays a position that is defined by postseason success and the guy is an utter, abysmal failure in the postseason, hands down and inarguably a choke artist when it comes to the big moment. Us non-Dallas fans are sick and tired of hearing you fans defend a guy who hasn’t won SHIT, playing for a franchise that hasn’t won SHIT since before most of the posters on this site started lifting.

People come out of the woodworks because everyone is so eager to be the one who smashes the giant cockroach running around on the kitchen floor before Christmas dinner.
