Sorry but this shows a real lack of football knowledge. I’m on my iPad or I would type out a lot more.

He has NO running game and almost again brought his team back to a win. Romo and Garret are far from the problem, Pat explained it perfectly. I love football but I could not build a fucking Super Bowl team.
almost brought his team back to a win against a horrible pass D LOL… I get it, I would take Romo over many QBs in the leaque, but he is not going to win Dallas any SBs
No QB could win with this teams O line 4 new starters last week and again no running game. No he will not win SB with this team run like this. The media loves Romo cause he is an easy target like most QBs but people who know football know that Romo is not the problem.
He may not be the problem, but he ain’t the answer either

Maybe you have said it in this thread, today was leg day i am to lazy to go looking throuh to see if you have. lol. You obviously know about football, but why don’t you want to see Tebow? If I was a Jets fan, I would like to see a rotation at least. I know it probably wont work, but to me the Jets season is over anyways. I know you don’t feel Sanchez is the problem, and I kinda agree I just think the way things are going for him right now, he might need to sit down for a while and get his head right. Just throwing it out there like this, it could be a positive destraction from all that seems to be happening right now? I don’t know, I enjoyed the Tebow run last year in Denver, I know he is not the future of the nfl qb position, but I feel and want to see some Tebow time in NY Jets football. Good luck either way.
LOL I know how that is, ultimately I would have no problem with a QB change at this point but not for Tebow, I would like to see if anyone what Greg McElroy could do (jets 3rd stringer) Tebow would just muddy the waters too much. I could imagine the frenzy after beating a couple of equally shitty teams, then he would be a starter next year and tebow magic wont last a whole year
They will probably put Tebow in against the Chargers and he will shred them and the media think he will be the next big thing since sliced butter!

With that said, the Chargers find new ways to lose every week. How do you give up a 4th and 29 that basically would have ended the game, pathetic!

fixed

Trent Richardson is fun to watch. He didn’t have a great game yesterday (<3.0 YPC) but he is obviously the real deal.

I feel like I’ve been caught in a time warp and it’s the late eighties, early nineties lol. Is Bubby Brister availible?

The teams Pittsburgh’s been beating up on the last few years are getting their revenge this year big time. Oh well, it happens. Browns didn’t back down one bit like they normally do, good win for them.

I think the only spiral Batch threw all day yesterday was an underhand toss to a back. Watching the game I couldn’t even get angry it was so laughable.

The decimation at O-Line continues…

Dudes a tank. I was hoping he would cough one up at the end. He was obviously hurt but they kept feeding him the ball which I thought was dumb but at the same time smart because it sends him a message that when you play the Steelers you have to grind it out every time you play them, and if you do, good things happen.

That was DEFINITELY a fumble at the end of the game. The ball was out before he went down. But I’m not mad about it because there’s no fucking way Batch was taking them down the field for 6 anyhow.

I agree, but we gotta get there first though. I figure we need 2 to lock it up and 3 to secure a bye and home field advantage. I think we have survived the worse of our slumps (I hope) and things have been falling our way this year. We got Witherspoon back which is a huge defensive boon.

Man you really got to hate a dude not to even try. The Jets ain’t winning and Sanchez is terrible. One advantage you would have, supposing Sanchez isn’t the problem (right), is with Tebow he can win without help. He can run the read and double and triple options and run like hell since nobody can catch the damn ball. You can’t win with Sanchez, you might win with Tebow, I’d go with might.
I know you’ll be mighty pissed off if they put him in and they start winning. It’s happened before.
Ultimately, the Jets need to clean house from top to bottom which includes Tebow.

Was check down charlie the one fumbling the ball, or was it every RB on the roster?

Since they were not playing the starting QB, ill have to check if there were any extra rapes at the local colleges this weekend…

Yeah, that sucked, they saw the weakness on the left side and rode that pony all night long. The Giants are getting hot. But they don’t have an easy schedule coming up.

Injuries can kill any team. When your best players are out and you’re down to your 3rd string QB, your just not going to win.

Make sure you check the bar bathrooms and day care centers…

Well, Alex Smith will never see the field as a starter again, barring injury. I don’t even know how to explain it really, but Kaepernick just doesn’t look or carry himself like a player with as little experience as he has. He looks like he’s been doing this in the NFL for several years now. You typically see moments of confusion from the quarterback throughout the game when he hasn’t made more than a couple starts in the NFL. Not from Kaepernick though. He also looks like he’s really cleaned up his throwing motion since last year.
Kaepernick has played 2 games. He looks great, no doubt, but 2 games don’t mean shit. Can he win without his best stuff? Can he win when half his o-line is injured? Can he grind out wins?

The league is QB starved, I wouldn’t count out Smith as a starter just yet. This draft class isn’t as QB rich as the last one.

Not many QBs can win with an injured offensive line. If it weren’t for Akers’ bum leg he would have ground out a win against St. Louis a couple weeks ago.

Besides, are you and I watching the same player? In his only two starts he’s already shown he’s much more capable and dangerous than Smith ever was. We know what Smith will do every week. Essentially, Smith’s ceiling is Kaepernick’s floor. He just DID win without his best stuff anyways. If you think what he’s featured so far is his best stuff then you’re delusional.

Batch also contributed 3 early Christmas presents to the Browns, but I can really only blame him for 2 of them.

The inability to move the ball the entire game (except for the end of the first half) is why they lost. When Batch wasn’t throwing the ball to the Browns, he was throwing off-target wounded ducks all day long. That horrible no-call on the Richardson fumble right before the 2 min warning would have actually meant something with Roethlisberger in the game.

I think you could take away 3 of those turnovers and Cleveland still would have won.

It will be interesting to see who Haslam hires as the new GM, and who that GM hires as the new coach. Whoever it is, I bet things start turning around fairly soon for the Browns. I know all of my Cleveland friends are really excited about the change in ownership.

You have no idea… Shurmer is the worst coach we’ve had since 99’. i would keep Heckert as GM tho, he’s brought in some good talent since being here; although im still not sold on Weeden as the QB.

After the QB, and coach; the Browns are a stub D-lineman and burner WR away from being legit. Dwayne Bowe/Mike Wallace free agent acquisitions would make this off season very interesting.

I said he looked great, but it’s only 2 games.
Some QB’s start strong, look amazing and then become human. Others grow over a few years and become great. Cam looked like the most amazing QB that ever played last year. This year, he looks human. Of course, his team sucks and the niners are loaded with talent. But I’ll reserve judgement until I have seen him challenged. I respect Smith because he had to work for it with people downing him constantly. What he lacks in talent he made up with hard work and brains.

Geez, the Eagles should just forfeit the rest of the season. They’ve all but given up. They don’t even look like they are trying.

Cam Newton seems so bipolar sometimes. He looks like he is pouting and so upset when things don’t go his way. Later in the game he is having a good drive and breaking off a few nice runs and he gets up points his hand to give the first down signal and is all smiles. I don’t know the guy just gets on my nerves.

The difference between Kaepernick and Newton is in their mental makeup and work ethic, and it’s why I think Kaepernick will maintain his success and Newton has not. Newton isn’t a hard worker or a smart guy, really. He got caught cheating multiple times at Florida, which tells me he isn’t a hard worker in the classroom nor is he smart enough to get away with it. He also was caught stealing shit, which tells me he isn’t much of a leader at all either. His Wonderlic score was 21, which is below average for a QB.

Kaepernick’s was 37. I just Googled his GPA while at UNR and it was a 3.9. He’s already shown he’s smart enough to command the most complicated offense in the NFL.

The point is that Kaepernick is a bright guy who has a great work ethic by all accounts. His physical talent and potential is arguably higher than even RG3, given his much larger size. The only question about Kaepernick was about his throwing motion. It’s still a bit elongated, but it’s much, much better than it was in college. He also has a coach who has shown he can coach up a QB as well as anyone in the league in years.

So, yes, he may regress and could even be a complete flash in the pan. But the guy really does have everything you would want in a QB, more so than a guy like Newton or any other guy who has flamed out after a quick start. Kaepernick has all the physical tools that Smith doesn’t have, and he has all the brains and hard work as well. I know I’m biased and all that, but even from a purely objective standpoint, there really isn’t anything NOT to like about Kaepernick. He has all the tools and all the right things around him to sustain his success for a long, long time.

Philly looked aite, the more I watch them the more I blame injuries, especially to the O line for their woes this season.

And I just gotta say, Cam Newton may be the most handsome man in the NFL… He’s certainly better looking than anyone from the two Carolinas.

A few things to add to a post I agree with.

 1. Kaepernick LOVES playing football. By any stretch he had the physical attributes to go to D1 schools as a baseball pitcher, and he was a decent basketball player as well. He went to Nevada-Reno because they were the only school who really offered him a chance to play football.

 2. He’s a Norcal kid. Tatted up, bi-racial and adopted. The white collars SF fans love the diverse background, the blue collars can directly relate/identify with him.

 3. I’d like to see some thicker legs and a bigger booty on him. He looks like a basketball player in a football uniform. Tall and Lanky doesn’t mean he’s immediately injury prone, but his risk is greater, espescially when he tucks and runs with it.

 4. The 49’ers traded up (with Denver I believe) in the 2nd round to get him. He’s Harbaughs future, and that’s so freaking deadly it should make the rest of the NFL scared as hell.

 5. I’m not taking anything away from Alex Smith. What that dude has endured is impressive, and maybe just maybe he’ll head to another squad and make noise ala Drew Breese. It’s yet to be seen but you cannot knock Smith for coming to work every day, for every bullshit season the 9’ers had up until last year. Though he’ll never have top tier numbers, his reputation will be unblemished at least with me.
