@brockandsalk According to http://ESPN.com , there are 11,240 tickets available for Sunday’s game in Atlanta. Quite the sports town.
Considering that most of the regular season games were sold out, I seriously doubt that number. I don’t see the article about it in the link. I am pretty sure it was an error.

Yeah poor Joe Webb didnt’ have a prayer. Those passes were either 500 MPH right into the ground at the recievers’ feet or way over the heads.
Kinda like a preview of how Denard Robinson is going to be in the pros.
Oh my yea if I was Robinson’s agent I would be fuck QB you are going in as a slot WR
That’s if he learns how to run a route and catch a ball.
I really feel bad for him overall. He shoulda bounced when Rodriguez bounced. He would have been great on squads like Oregon or West Virginia or Virginia Tech. Ultimately, his committment to Michigan set him and the UM program back a season or two. I’m going to root for him with wherever he ends up and whichever position he ends up playing though. He’s a good person and an excellent teammate with no reason to hang his head. A weaker player would have up and quit or found ways to get in trouble.

See this is what I dont understand as a grown man, if he goes in and plays as a WR with his abilities he can set himself up for life. But if he pulls I am doing nothing but QB or dont talk to me, he will not be drafted and not have a chance in hell (due to his ability as a QB not him personally). If I could set myself and family up for life there are only a few jobs that I would not take.

I see what you mean.
It’s the comparion of Eric Crouch (Heisman winner from Nebraska) and Matt Jones (Starting QB from Arkansas.)
Crouch played the spoiled brat and insisted on being a quarterback, Jones switched to WR and made a little noise with the Jags.

I know this is all the top teams, but Broncos are primed. Pats will repeat with a closer win over the Texans, Wilson’s run will end.
Honestly the hardest game to pick is SF vs GB, and I am only giving the edge to SF cause of home field. GB’s defense is still shaky and Kap’s ability to run is going to give them fits.
The AFC games are going to be blowouts. I agree with those two picks.
It’s those NFC games that have me wondering too. Especially the Atlanta vs Seahawks. If the Falcons are soft against the run it’s going to be a long day for that defense. Lynch is running over everybody in his way. That dude is a joy to watch run.
The Falcons better come loaded for bear because they are going to have their hands full. And you are spot on with Lynch, that guy is an animal.
The Hawks should just take it easy this week. They don’t even need to come prepared, this should be easy for them…

The reason you saw zero exotic blitzes from Houston is because Tom Brady might be the best QB against the blitz in the NFL. His passer rating is probably higher against the blitz than it is overall.
Preseason games are an entirely different animal altogether since those games really don’t mean a thing as far as who wins and loses.
I agree that not all games have the same meaning IN RETROSPECT. But at the time, the biggest game of the year is the game they’re playing in, especially when they’re playing on the road against the best team in the AFC the last decade or so and you’re on a team that hasn’t won a single postseason game. At that point EVERY game against a team like NE is huge.
They blew out Indianapolis because Indianapolis is a FAR worse team than NE is. That had nothing to do with the import they placed on one game over another. If the loss were against Oakland instead of NE it might be a different conversation. But it wasn’t.
And perhaps the fact that you saw zero effort to catch up was actually an illusion. Perhaps they WERE trying to catch up but NE just was the better team that night and took away their competitiveness. That happens in sports. I see it a lot in fighting sports. A guy gets his face bashed in often enough in a bout and he just fight back as hard, even though he still wants to win just as badly. But the fight was taken out of him by a better opponent. You have to give credit to the other fighter or the other team at some point too, and I think that Houston/NE game is an example of NE deserving the credit for winning and not so much Houston deserving blame for the loss.
Good point about blitzing Brady, no doubt.
I think my next move is supposed to re-direct attention to the ‘coaching approach/strategy’ context of my initial point vs the ‘player in-game mindset’ context that you later introduced.
But that’s about all I got for defending HOU anyway. Again, I see plenty of value with them catching nearly ten pts this upcoming weekend.

I was disappointed that all the news headlines were on RG3 even though the Redskins LOST. Seattle always flies under the media radar, which makes it extra special when they do things like they are doing this year.
They definitely have a good shot against Atlanta and their horrible post season record.

You got an avatar picked out for me yet?
The Fauhawks are fucked without Clemons in there on defense. Bruce Irvin was a stud this year, but he really only played situationally in passing downs and his biggest knock coming into the season was that he’s horrible against the run. Now it looks like he’s going to have to play much more than he’s used to, in situations that are totally foreign to him. Atlanta likes to throw the ball around a lot, but I expect them to run right at Irvin every chance they get. It could be an issue for the Seagulls that has a domino effect along their entire line, sort of like when Justin Smith went down for the Niners. That’s what I’m hoping for anyways.

Why?
I’m starving for a SF-SEA rematch. That’s good football right there.

Good football to me is the Niners running roughshod over everyone in their path. I’m still having nightmares from the ass-raping the Fauhawks gave the Niners a few weeks ago. Completely ruined the holidays for me.
Besides, I want to see the Niners wipe the Falcons all over the field so that smarmy bastard, Pat, has to eat crow all offseason. I don’t like the Seagulls and I don’t want to see them win any games, period. They’re fucking classless, especially Richard Sherman. The guy is a fucking hophead who handles winning with about the same amount of class as I do, which is with no class at all. That little incident after the game yesterday was definitely instigated by him and the incident with Brady was equally classless. I wouldn’t expect a Seagulls player to behave after a win like he’s actually done it before, but still, at least TRY to act like it’s not the first playoff game you’ve ever won. The guy celebrates wins the way I used to celebrate victories in Monopoly when I was 8.
You don’t see Niners players getting up in everyone’s face after a fucking wildcard round victory or a win in September. Why? Because it’s the fucking 49ers, that’s why. When you walk into team headquarters every morning and see THIS every time, you start to gain a little perspective. And when you look around and realize that no one on your team is wearing the numbers 80, 16, 42, 33, 97, 87, 14, 34, 35, 8, 37, 64, 79, 73, 12 and most likely 21 when Gore is done, and you start investigating as to why so many numbers aren’t available anymore, you realize that you play for a CLASS organization and not some punk team who’s so pathetic they actually retired the #12 even though no one of significance ever wore it.
