Chargers will fire AJ Smith and Norv at the end of the season… FINALLY!!! This is 3-4 years overdue but I’m glad.

While they’re at it they need to get rid of Rivers.
Ill take Norv as my OC and Rivers as my QB here in NY
Yup!
Rivers would be fantastic in NY!

He’s a fucking mental case but that’s perfect. He’ll give it right back to those fans.

No way SD would trade Rivers. He’ a top ten QB.

Replace Rivers with who?

Haha, Charlie Whitehurst! The guy who couldn’t even cut it on the Seahawks!

Haha, this is a joke right!? I’m not saying Rivers is a top ten QB this year, but you made a list out of some guys who haven’t even played a full season let alone more than three games!! Also the fact that you put some of those rookies ahead of Brees and Eli Manning is a joke. Not sure if you are being serious or not.

Can’t you read I said the list after 3 is in no order - numbered to show that Rivers isn’t top 19.

I still stand by what I first said about the list.

Ill take Rivers over Newton, Flacco, Schaub, Kaepernick (shouldnt even be on the list) Alex Smith (L O FUCKING L), Josh Freeman, Russell Wilson.

Your list is funny. How Quickly people forget how good Rivers is.

I agree BJB, Rivers would be awesome in NY…

And that’s subjective - but he’s not top 10. List is mainly referring to this season, hence the rookies on there.

No way you take Rivers over Schaub Matty. Reasoning…?

How many yards and wins does Schaub need to prove he belongs with the big boys?

Arent you a Michael Vick fan?

Your ability to judge quality QB’s is weak at best.

I agree that Rivers isn’t top 10 any more. Not with Luck, Griffin, and Wilson on the scene. I would take him ahead of Flacco, Smith, Newton (maybe), and Cutler though.

Fact is, there are a LOT of really, REALLY good QBs playing the game these days. Rivers is good, but there are a lot of guys that are better.

Maybe I’m living in the past regarding Rivers. I made the mistake of discounting the Rookies too.

No way I think he’s a bum and his best years are behind him, he’s the same age a Big Ben and Eli or within a year.

I do stand by my diagnosis of his mental health.

T Josh Brent of Dallas charged with manslaughter while intoxicated this morning killing LB Tim Brown in car crash. Damn. This has been a rough week. Prayers out to both families and the team.

This post in no way is meant to sweep a tragedy under the rug as anything other than a tragedy, but I continue to be absolutely confounded at NFL(and other pro sports) athletes driving vehicles under the influence of alcohol or other substances. Every team in the league has contracted driving service for their players, and then there’s obviously the forms of transportation that ‘normal’ citizens use like taxi’s, limos, or sober friends.

I get that drunk driving in general is a large, general issue, but I find it even more confusing that pro athletes who have so much to lose, and so much more available to them to deter having to do so, continue to put themselves in this situation. The headline “NFL Player involved in fatal drunk driving accident” is far too common an occurrence.

I find all the Jets coverage odd when they aren’t even the 2nd best team in the East any more.

I agree, it’s a cultural problem in the NFL.

And people call NBA players “dumb” and “thug.”

SMH.

Agreed on the first, not the second.

Trading away Rivers would be like trading away Romo (ie. PLENTY of happy takers)

In fairness, people said the same thing about Carson Palmer. I think the Bengals are a little happier with their end of that deal.
