NFL 2012 Off season and DRAFT

Holy shit I’m tired of hearing about Dontari Poe.

Is he really going to be drafted above the other elite DL’s because of his combine?

I was under the impression his stock was sliding. Once the experts went back to the game tape they fell back to earth so to speak.

I’m just hoping Poe or Worthy are there for the picking at #24.

What does somebody want with 240 pairs of Nike Jordans unless they are going to make the longest Human Centipede ever.

Miami is the new Lions

2 more days till our last little bit of football till August.

Draft wish list:

Browns pass on Richardson,

Steelers pick Hightower or Worthy. They need a OL bad too, tough call for Steelers GM. Protect Ben, replace Farrior at LB or smash the QB and plug up running lanes with a player like Worthy.

Bengals go back to being draft fuckups.

Torry Holt on NFL Network is winning me over.

In our office mock draft I picked Cordy Glenn (with Hightower as the alternate if Glenn is gone) in the first. Past that, I have no clue.

I wouldn’t be shocked to see a WR in round one either if an elite guy drops, because I have heard rumblings that Wallace might pull a Vincent Jackson this year. He will be the most hated man in Pittsburgh if he does.

Or an elite corner, wouldn’t that be nice. I just remember Mendenhall dropping right onto their lap a few years ago, he was supposd to be long gone. Even though draft day pick swapping slows things down it gives you hope that a guy does slip to your teams slot.

Fucking Wallace…

Who would’ve thought, the Steelers end up with a steal in David DeCastro. I knew right away when he fell that far the steelers would get him. He’s ranked 6th overall on NFL.com! How does he fall to 24?

Well I guess it’s wait for round 2 for the Donkeys.

Lack of demand for the position. (but you already knew that)

What I want to know is WHICH TEAMS were talking to MIN?? Or was it all just smokescreen to get CLE to overpay to move up one spot??

(perhaps “overpay” isn’t accurate but it’s not like MIN was ever, ever taking the RB had they stood pat at #3)

Decastro, while a complete stud, is a Guard. Top guards and centers rarely go top 10. A team is better with an elite left tackle than an elite left guard, although they are all nice luxuries to have. Steelers got the steal of the day, which is why they are strong year after year.

My Pats finally traded up and really solidified the front seven. Must be realizing that the Brady window is rapidly closing and the time to go for it is here.

I was hoping to see the home team Cardinals trade down to get a 2nd round pick this draft, but Floyd is a nice pickup and it’s always good to have someone to divert the attention from Larry.

Dang what happened with these boards? Threads like this use to go off. Like nobody is here anymore.

Anyways, I’m happy with the Chargers pick. It’s not a risky pick like A.J. has done in the past and failed at miserably.

I don’t think I could be any happier with the draft so far. The Steelers now have an elite LT-LG-C combo for the next decade at least.

Still need another tackle to take over for Colon. He is coming off of two season-ending injuries and hasn’t played a regular season down in something like 30 months. I have no confidence in his ability to get back to his previous (extremely average) level of play.

I hope the Steelers can find a good replacement for Hampton. An ILB would be nice but I think Foote will be serviceable for another yr or two.

They are certainly paying him (Foote) enough.

I have Alameda Ta’amu (NT) as the Steelers’ second rounder in my mock.

Who is the best kicker in the draft this year? Pittsburgh is in the market for one.

Most of us are on another place where we were talking about the draft as it went along.

Supposedly it was Tampa Bay: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d828a9ebc/article/trent-richardson-will-try-to-prove-jim-brown-wrong?module=HP11_content_stream

Nick Perry to GB at #28?

Yeah, I’ll take it.
