Has anyone noticed the trend(I know it’s only week one) of using lineman as fullbacks ala the fridge?
I like it myself, Pittsburgh uses a TE and sometimes their back-up tackle for short yardage situations. Just don’t do anything stoopid like hand the ball off to them.
Woke up to the news Pittsburgh lost another OL for the year, arguably their best road grader, fuck Big Ben’s life. The second round pick from this years draft will get the start, yikes.
Mike Tolbert has the best TD celebration dance hands down, the NFL needs guys like that, fucking hilarious.
^ I dont know BJB, some guys can do it as a FB and some cant. To me the more you do something with good coaching the better you are. So pulling a OL or TE into the back field as a FB while he can do the job 85% correctly could a true FB do it 100%?

I get you DJ, it seems a poor mans solution, why hold a roster spot for a fulltime FB when you can plug a TE or whoever in there two or three times a game on these short yardage goaline situations. Pittsburgh’s second string RB is also listed as their FB. Thanks for the info on the back surgery btw.

No problem, I faced a 3 level fusion of my lumbar spine about 8 years ago, decided to just deal with pain and rehab myself. No fucking way could have played a football game, fornicating was hard enough.
I think this is pretty bogus. Is no one else on the defense accountable for the plays they do or do not make? I guess not…
Seeing as his money is guaranteed, I have to speculate that it was his mouth, afterwards, that got him cut, and not a physical mistake.
I think that writer is being short sighted and borderline irresponsible saying what he is saying with that part of the article.
If Sapp’s response to that game was Randy Moss-esk, cut the fucker and try and build your team around believers. One bad apple like that, and a couple tough losses and the team will quit on a coach, dooming the season.

Hmmmm I would venture to guess that their record may be worse if he started those games, and on top of that, yes a small slate of games but werent the Broncos record 1-2 when he started? Id start Brady Quinn over him if anything.
LOL! Have you ever watch Quinn play? He makes Alex smith look like Peyton Manning.
I was being facetious

I figured but it’s hard to tell on a forum sometimes.

So Pat you think Turner hits 150 this weekend against the green chickens?

tebow played 3 games and won 1 he’s 1-2 as a starter so he’s no great asset either…
denver’s team sucked ass last year… their defense was as dominant as it was the year prior… honestly orton is the more polished qb and tebow does have some learning to do… i don’t care about his mechanics but he does throw inaccurate at times but he can run when necessary. i don’t necessarily agree with all the talking heads who say he can’t play the position but he does need time to learn the playbook especially since he’s under a new coach now.
as far as the fans chanting tebow i think its disgusting… we had the same incident in miami during the orton trade debacle… some fans just want their team to win so they can rock their team gear without feeling ashamed… a real fan wears team gear anyways… imagine being a fins fan during the 1-15 year… that was rough…
Here’s the way I see it. Dever sucks, and they are going to pretty much suck no matter who the QB is. Now, do you want to start rebuilding or do you want to hold status quo. If you start rebuilding now, you need to see what you have in Tebow. Orton is not the answer to anybody’s question. He’s a serviceable #2 across the league. Denver needs pieces, but if you run with safe but average Orton, come draft time, they’ll still be guessing and will suck next year too. You play Tebow, if he doesn’t work out, you ship him off and you know you need to trade or draft for a QB. If Tebow works out, you’ll know what other pieces you need. They need corners, safeties, shit they need a lot. It’d be easier to figure it out if you are moving forward than standing pat…Like I said, they are going to suck. Do they want to suck and move forward or dod they want to suck for years to come. I guess they chose to suck for years to come…

I think he’d going to drag the tackles for about 100 of those yards…I can’t wait!

the thing with henne is that he’s an emo player… u have to build his confidence otherwise he won’t play well… i remember the jets games two years ago when he threw for 300+ yds in each with multiple td’s
if u get him going he’ll do well… he only had 1 pick last night at the game’s end… can’t blame him for the effort last night
I agree. He’s got the thin skin. It doesn’t matter the score or the game, when Brady steps on the field he looks like he’s the best and he’s going to kick your ass and make you thank him for the privilege. Henne looks happy when he does good and sad when he doesn’t, that not a good thing for a QB.

I’d show Brady Quinn the door. I just don’t think he’ll ever be good.

if the falcons that i’ve seen play last year show up then it should be a good game… they need to hit vick early and pressure him all day… eagles o-line is shoddy at best… so the falcons need to assert their pressure fast and early vick doesn’t need a lot of time to chuck it 40yds down field and let his athletic wr make a play…
Yeah, the chickens have shown that they are vulnerable to the blitz. I think our defense did ok despite the fact they missed a trillion tackles. It’s that the missed tackles should be very fixable it’s just a matter of timing. You keep the D on the field for 45 minutes, though and they are going to get a little winded.
I want to see the offence stretch out the defense a little more. We have some deep weapons now. If we start the run early and crowd the defense around the line, we should be able to hit some deep balls…
I know this, it’s time to fix the flat. I don’t care if they juice, take meth, what ever, but they better have their A game on Sunday. Section 343…look for me ESPN game.

special teams and defense kept the jets in the game… god knows ryan’s blitz and stunts had sanchez looking lost…
I almost felt bad for them, then I remembered Jerry.
Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory is painful to watch. There was no reason for it, the boys are too good to go down like that.
Hey, yall know one of the T-mag contributors trained Miles Austin for the Combine…I forgot who though, I thought it was Cressey, but I can’t remember. It was one of the short live T-Nation radio Double Tap series.

I still think the Steelers will be relevant, but their biggest question mark coming into the season BEFORE this injury was the offensive line.
Most teams aren’t without their injuries. Chargers lost Kaeding and Castillo. If the Chargers do make the post season, I could care less about the loss of Kaeding because he doesn’t make field goals in the playoffs.

Same guy who did Brian Cushing
Defranco is a badass. I met the guy once with some of his athletes. Great trainer.

I know you are a big Charger fan SB21 but I just cant come to the hyper. Pats over the Chargers by at least a TD, even with the Pats ugly D. Ill be willing to even put an avi bet on that.
