^I’ll give you Rodgers. But not Ben.
I’m not saying Kolb is a franchise qb either. I’m saying he is better than Smith. & if SF is looking for nothing more that a stop-gap, than Kolb might help.

SF is going to want a franchize QB not a stop-gap.
Plus Ben has more SB wins and loses than Rodgers and Manning. Also I sure as hell would take big ben rather than an unproven Kolb who couldnt beat out Vick who was out of football for a couple of years. Missed talking football with you Print been hanging out in SAMA to much.
^HA! I haven’t been posting all that much as of late, work, life, shit. Outside of this thread I’ve lost interest in a lotta of the same ol same ol that goes on in here. As for this thread, I’ve got no interest in talking CBA. Chaps my ass period!
I think w/all the talk about Luck that they would want a stop-gap. Are they going to use one of their picks on a franchise/future qb this yr? Risky move to say the least. Or do they just eat this yr & hope Luck falls to them next yr?
I agree about the SB wins. But I am talking about the better qb. The only qb as of late w/less talent to win a SB, was Brady. Rodgers has 1st rd picks around him. Ben had a stellar def & when Bettis was there, a good running game. Vick has Jackson & sometimes Shady. not much of anything else on that team. I’ll give you Akers.
I miss talking football too.
Vick is a freak no doubt, I just have to see more than this years production as a “QB” not a run and shoot Qb like he used to be. In my opinion as the year went on his effectiveness decreased in production because he had game film that defenses could study. An Elite QB can still produce at a high level even if the D has tendency’s from film. Rodgers is an elite QB Print, not just talking this SB, the kid has the ability.
I get tired of CBA lawyer bullshit myself. I am ready for the draft. I still think this will be the most unpredictable draft off all time with the fact of no FA before or after. If a kid doesnt get drafted he is fucked royally until the CBA gets done.

Steal of the draft, qb wise just might be Kaepernick. Under the radar a little bit. Especially on the East coast. I’ve read & seen some really good things about this kid.[/quote]
He reminds me very much of Josh Freeman. Has serious talent and physical tools, but will probably take 1-2 years to fully refine.
Kiper actually had the 49ers taking him in one of his mocks. I wouldn’t mind that, as long as Harbaugh loves him…
I saw the kid play a couple of games he has talent but he is raw, if he sat for 3 years and developed could be at the Freeman level. He still needs to thicken up in my opinion develop about 15 pounds in the lower body. To play at NFL level.
I heard a mock draft on Serius on Friday that had Dallas trading up with Cinci to take PP. WC you would have a heart attack. ![]()

I’d be disappointed, but would probably survive. If we get a good defensive lineman or a good corner in the first round I’ll be pleased.
If we take Cam or Blaine, I’m going to punch the NFL in the balls.
Hahahahahahaha Im with you I am not feeling Blaine and to me Cam is still a project in a sense. Dont forget Locker he is on the West coast. ![]()
Honestly if there was FA right now all these QB’s would get pushed down in the draft. However with NO ability for teams to manuever these guys are pushed up with a very high potential for Bust.
Read a thing about J Russell kind of sad in a way to see a kid with such potential throw it all away and you have guys with much less potential busting their ass off and not even getting a shot.
^ agreed on the qbs getting pushed down, but i feel in some way teams are talking with potential fa. its like when someone signs a contract at 1201, yeah sure that was your first contact with the team…
also agree on russell. what a POS even his mentor has given up on him. people like that really piss me off
^ I dont get mad at them I just feel sorry for them. We he gets my age and looks back there will be serious fucking regret.
One more week. Come on draft.
So reality set in BIG time yesterday when ESPN had a snippet of Gruden speaking w/Cam. Horrible I tell ya’… just horrible. He couldn’t remember/call a play from Auburn’s playbook. He did not sound very intelligent or self-assured.
Though, when they went out onto the field, he hit every target, & did everything he was asked of by Gruden. The kat has some serious rocket-fuel in that throwing arm.
^ Yes but he needs to be a rocket scientist with his brain Print, NFL is all about the Brain for QB’s. Man I would hate to be the Panthers right now.

Yea I saw that as well.
I was actually really impressed with Mallet when he was on the same thing with Gruden. I think he’s gotten a bad rap from the media simply because it sells better. His mobility sucks, but look at Manning and Brady (not saying that he’s anywhere close to them).
^What I got from that yesterday was he was unprepared. He just sorta rambled thru his answers. I most certainly lost a little bit confidence in him. Disappointed, especially w/all the hoorah I’ve given him in this thread.
^ Print that is even more upsetting, how can you not be prepared right now? During this time before the draft he should be able to spout shit off the top of his head very easily. This is the interview process, his agent sucks balls if he is not preping him for this.
^Agreed. He was in my eyes completely lost. Even his expressions seemed to come across lost. Not sure if it was nerves, cuz it was Gruden or what. But once out on the field his arm makes up for some… not all… of his verbal miscues.
I think every night this week, ESPN is having Gruden go 1 on 1 w/a bunch of these guys for an hr or so. Maybe I need to watch the entire program before I jump ship.

No shit!, new HC to boot. Forever linked, that’s a ton of pressure, fuck em’, they’re grown ups lol.
Klingler had rocket fuel in his arm, Shuler as well. The list goes on and on. A first round QB prospect who’s percieved to be dumb needs to be lucky if they ask him to start right away. VY was lucky at the start and look at him now. Some would argue in VY’s case it’s because he was lazy. Bradford seems (to me atleast) to be in the good catagory, not lucky. Time will tell.
Qb’s are a touchy subject to die hard Steelers fans like me lol. History shows this, ask TB lol.
With comments like that from Gruden the draft can’t come soon enough for some of these guys i’m sure.

Cam has shown he can play on the field. I just wonder if Auburns playbook was “Okay Cam get the ball then run left or right or throw left or right” I know he was there for only a year but how can you not know your playbook? NO WAY in hell he could read coverage at the NFL level. He needs to sit for 3 years minimum in my opinion or he is going to be a bust.
Cam’s no genius for sure:
