Alright word on the street is Cam #1 to Carolina. Print you make the call.

It’s gunna happen, and I think it’s a great fit. Carolina already has a sick running game and a sick line. All Cam will have to do is manage games and make a couple throws, just like Big Ben.
I just hope PP falls to the 49ers at #7!

I still think that is a mistake, was thinking about our continued discussion on this the other day. Gil Brandyt was talking just about this in his words, its easier to find value and great secondary in later rounds and your first two rounds are where your greatest value for DL is. ![]()
theres a difference between finding value and finding patrick peterson!!!

I agree to a point, but if 49rs could get Von Miller and then someone that is 90% of what Peterson is I would take that route.
So ready for this draft, tired of the CBA talk. Fucking lawyers.

LOL, Love this!

So true! It’s always so interesting to think about the difference between draft need / availability / and best player available at the time.
^ CB are just so fragile also, I wonder if there are any stats on longevity of CB versus DL? Or another way to look at it will a CB ever be picked #1 again? Cause you know the DL guy will be picked #1 again.

Really? I’d guess most DTs (not just stars) have a lower expectancy in the NFL than CBs - much more physically demanding overall. With the weight you gotta carry and the constant abuse you take on the line, anyway.
And again, I know I’m president of the PP fan club, but he’s 6’2", 225. BEAST!
DJ in ten years when PP is still very productive will you change you avatar? lol
I agree von miller is a stud and it would be a tough pick, but remember when aaron curry was a cant miss, sure hes a solid LB but i think if you can get someone to shut down half the field with an already not too shabby front 7 you take him.
to argue with myself why would you pass up on having someone like miller to pair with willis who is a man amongst men. for some reason theres something telling me peterson is the better pick and thats who id take gut feeling but im trusting it

I would be extremely surprised if Miller was still on the board at seven. Either way, I think the 49ers can get a good DB and a good DL/DE with their first two picks. Both positions have very solid depth.
Now we just need to find a QB. Luuuuuuuuuuuuuck.

They’re fools if they don’t. & just like WC said, the running game is damn skippy. Now you add Cam as a dual threat. The WR position is going to be a problem for them though. I like Smith, but he’s on the tail-end of spectacular anymore. If they’re lucky enough to pick up a burner in the 2/3rd they will help.
The only thing I am not sure about when it comes to Cam is all this talk about his personality/ego/self absorbed type shit. Hope Carolina does its off the field homework w/a fine tooth comb.
Rivera being a def. minded coach says they might start looking def. after choosing Cam. I think they need a big NT if I remember correctly.
@WC- I know you want/need Luck, but if Kolb becomes bait, I think he’d be a good fit. You?

I don’t think Kolb is a good fit in our scheme, and if we’re going to give up a 1st or 2nd round pick, I think whatever we’re getting should be a perfect match.
I also don’t think he’s a great quarterback. I think he’s pretty over hyped and has shown very little and proved very little on the football field. Honestly, he reminds me of someone like Charlie Whitehurst, a backup QB who just gets continually hyped but really hasn’t done much.
Obviously I know Kolb has done more than Whitehurst, but not a ton. I’d rather give up a pick for Palmer, or a mid to high pick for Josh Johnson.
It is extremely interesting also to see how much Harbaugh likes Alex Smith. He either sees something there that he can really work with, or is simply playing his cards right with how the CBA is restricting things.
Anybody think a CBA gets done BEFORE the draft?
As if we needed anymore proof…
JaMarcus Russell’s “life coach,” John Lucas, has cut ties with the 2007 draft bust and asked him to leave Houston, according to Yahoo’s Jason Cole.
Lucas, the No. 1 overall pick in the 1976 NBA draft and all-American tennis player, is renowned for helping athletes with addiction and personal problems. After initially working hard to get back to the NFL, Russell had lost motivation, forcing Lucas to bring in Charles Barkley as a mentor.
Both men have now thrown up their hands in frustration with Russell’s “deteriorating work habits.” Perhaps most damning, Ravens president Ozzie Newsome, a fellow Alabama native, refused a request to meet with Russell in January. Said one source to Cole, “The title of your article should be, ‘It’s Over.’”
I don’t think Kolb is all that bad. What exactly is the scheme they will be running? I mean how do you know he won’t fit w/Harbaugh bringing in a new game plan? I certainly don’t think Palmer has anything left in the tank. Best bet would be to stick w/Smith.
The CBA situation can suck my sweat soaked donkey balls.
I think Kolb may be overhyped too, teams that need QB help seem to be salivating over a QB who has a very limited body of work. I like Palmer as well for the niners, a nice bridge to a young QB they can nab in the draft. A lot of the pieces are already there on offense and a vet QB in a shit division would make the niners a 10 win team at least IMO.
@ WC no I do not think it gets done before the draft. Still shooting for July in my opinion.
I agree on Kolb, if he was a studd he would have beat out Vick.

Oh look who shows up. Get ready to wear a sweet avatar for the first month of the NFL season.
Ha, I totally agree on Palmer though. I think his wife may be from this area as well, as a USC grad I’m sure he’d love to get back to Cali.
Now we’ll just have to see if his crazy owner will give him up.
LOL…I know I know, Im ready to take my medicine…please be gentle

Say WHAT! Really! How many QB’s in the league do you think could or can beat Vick for a starting position? Outside of manning & Brady of course.
Steal of the draft, qb wise just might be Kaepernick. Under the radar a little bit. Especially on the East coast. I’ve read & seen some really good things about this kid.

Well all the “experts” Print have Kolb as the next Manning or Brady, if the guy is a franchize QB he should have beat out Vick. Rogers and Beg Ben are better than Vick also.
