I thought Whitehurst looked good too on the first drive. After that he stymied a bit. The only chance the Hawks have in winning Sat. is if the def. plays like it did last night but a little bit better. That O lone sucks! I know they’ve had a shitload of changes but they couldn’t move DJ’s newborn grandson back a yd.[/quote]
\I will ignore the first half of that comment, and all like it, we got a goddamn chance (as long as Brees and BUsh bang knees and go down during pregame.) In seriousness though, Somehow Seattle has one of the best homefield adva. in the nfl, we play the Saints well, and it has been freezing up here, especially for a dome team. I give us a 2.5 percent chance of pulling off the upset.
Whitehurst is not the answer. He threw two dimes and four screen passes and that amounted to all he could do for the evening. For every nice pass he throws there are 8 that sail five yards over the recievers head. We really needed a QB which is why the draft drop is hurting so bad.
I didnt notice til last night with all the face shots before commercials, but, Sam Bradford has some seriously off center beady little eyes, it’s kind of weird.
^ Dont be a hater. The kid can play, you will be cussing about the kid for years to come. Now I cussed him for four years at Oklahoma cause I am a UT fan.
So what are the Hawks going to do about the QB situation? Go after somebody? At 21 you are not going to get a quality QB, or is Pete going to roll the dice?
If Az. doesn’t pull off the trade for Kolb, look for Sea. to be his new home.
Mangini to UConn!? DAMN! & Edsall to my Alma Mater… Well, not really, I got kicked out my 2nd yr. But they’re still my college team.
I wonder if a ACC b-ball thread will be started?

Also NFL.com is reporting that Cable will be out in Oakland. Who in there right mind would want that job? I know JJ is bad but Al “the crypt keeper” Davis is worse.

Al Davis is out of his ever loving mind, no coach since Gruden has gotten a fair shake with him. Cable swept the division and even though the Raiders missed the playoffs they’re headed in the right direction IMO. They seem to have a good bit of the pieces in place and with a good draft could have been contenders next year. Oh well, I’m not a Raiders fan so I shouldn’t care but the fans deserve better.
^ My brother is a huge Raiders fan (dont ask how that happened). I agree DDay some of the choices he makes is head scratching, BUT some how the guys in the locker room love playing there. I just cant think of a guy who will take this job, has to be somebody out of the college ranks. Maybe Al is hoping Madden will come back. ![]()

Tough to have a good draft when you are giving the pats your 1st rounder.
Davis is a dipshit, but fuck it… Works in the favor of my team, lol.
You heard it here first…
Harbaugh to O.A.K.
Print lay off the crack pipe. WC would have a stroke.

I would be delighted if he gets rid of Cable (though on a personal level I’d feel sorry for the man, he deserves another year). After seven years of turmoil and losing seasons Cable has given them some stability and hope for the future. In order to counterbalance this Al should fire Cable and draft a little known long snapper with their second rounder.

Beans Seymour has worked out well in Oakland and has been quoted as saying he likes it there. I dont know if you could get a 1st round talent with his experience and size at D tackle, this was an actual good trade in my opinion. But Al is still fucking crazy.

Lol if the long snapper is the fastest guy in the draft he will draft him.

eh… Pats are winning without him, and he didn’t buy in to BB’s deal. They never got along.
Deal worked out for both teams IMO. Patz weren’t going to pay him, and he wasn’t a good locker room guy based on his disagreements with BB.
Plus i wouldn’t be surprised if that pick turns into 2 players, lol.
Beans Agreed, I was only speaking in relation to the Raiders aspect. And yes BB will probably turn it into 2 players. Fucker.
^^this and ^this. Pats are notorious for trading a guy a year too early (at most) rather than a year too late. And the Pats organization KNOWS how to draft talent. It’s definitely fun to be a Pats fan. Thanks Bob Kraft. It always starts with good ownership and trickles down from there.
^Bob ain’t throwin’ any bones your way Randy, so stop ass-kissin’ will ya’?)
Bitter fan trying to take down the happy fan a peg or two. Aint gonna work man.
