Are you predicting a PIT win?
To be honest I’d like the Packers to take it, just because the Steelers have already won a couple Super Bowls in recent years.

If I were a betting man, however, I’d take Pittsburgh. I think it’s a damn good match up though and I can’t wait for this Sunday.
Wait, so your ‘analysis’ side says Pittsburgh? YOU TAKE THAT BACK NOW!!! TAKE IT BACK!!

^LOL. I’d like to the trophy stick in the NFC another year, we haven’t had the best of luck with holding on to it. I’ll be happy with a good game involving harrison and matthews crushing people.

^ Agreed, and this is just going to be a great FOOTBALL game. Media is all pissed because there is no big TMZ headlines to go over. These teams are very easily matched. Now going off last years game of these two we could have a very high scoring game. Any predictions yet?

I want to see Roethlisberger or Harrison win the MVP so Goodell has to smile and hand them the trophy.

Based on that it’s probably going to be a defensive slugfest. It seems like things in the NFL never happen the way you think they’re going to.

We should get a pool going on how many yards and dollars Harrison will accumulate in penalties.

I pray for this moment. If JH is fortunate enough to win some hardware from this game I could see him saying something like “thankyou assshole for this award, I’ll accept the cash and the car but you can take this trophy and your eighteen game season and shove it up your ass!”

I say none, they will let him play. I really dont see a referee fest for the Super bowl.

I also agree the NFL never does what you expect, that is one of the reasons I love this game.

I’d be more curious to see the line on holds AGAINST him, cancel each other out lol.

I think the Steelers are going to go on a head hunting safari early, worry about fines later. Two way street though but Ben is better able to take the pounding, legal or not.

Pittsburgh’s offensive line coach Sean Kugler deserves some credit in print, the job that guy has done cannot be underestimated at this point, great off-season pick-up.

So fox gets the telecast of the SB. Aikman is great, Joe Buck is so-so. At least it’s not Madden.

Two great travel teams as far as fans go but there will be a sea of turrible towels drowning out the cheeseheads me thinks. Thank you Myron Cope! DOUBLE YOI! Hmm…mmhaaaa lol.

Matty, isn’t all the Pittsburgh ball hugging only because of how close the two teams are geographically? I read this morning LT wants to come back next year to fulfill his contract, if I was SG I’d be pissed.

Kugler has gotten some love in the local papers and a little bit nationally. Personally I hope his name never hits the press so nobody steals him as their OC. Pittsburgh needs him.

I have little doubt that Steeler Nation will outnumber the Cheeseheads, but it will be much closer than in past years. Either way there will be a lot of yellow in the stands.

BJB - That has something to do with it but not all. NY is still considered a Giant town, the Steelers being in the SB and beating the Jets is allowing Jet haters and some Giant talking heads to passive aggressively attack the Jets by the extreme nuthugging of the Stillers. I listen to sports talk radio all day, so I hear all the beat reporters that are local Jet and Giant beat reporters cover them. Its sickening, and the Packers have gotten much less coverage than the Steelers, sure it probably has a lot to do with location and how the Steelers are a National team but so are the Packers.

As far as LT goes, I want him back, I like him as a person and still think he can be valuable in a lesser role. He has stated that he has no problems with a lesser role. Quite frankly the Jets have been playing with fire as they really only had 2 backs throughout the whole season. McKnight was inactive and Richardson and Conner are fullbacks not capable of handling any load. Next Year, I really believe will be greens year, with Mcknight being the #2 and change of pace guy and LT to be a 3rd down and passing back.

Matty, what do you think the Jets need to address in the off season? I understand how broad that is, just wondering what your thoughts are.

Last I looked Pittsburgh was getting 2.5 points, so technically Green Bay could win the game by 1 but I’d still win my “bet”. HA!

I humbly disagree

Madden was one of the best because he understood that its a simple game. Beat your man.

He was great at breaking down o-line and d-line battles especially.

Sometimes his sentences would get a little circular, and he had a tendency to talk too much about ‘cankles’ but that guy does not get enough respect in my opinion.

Now heres three seperate incidents of madden drawing dicks with the telestrator.

Edit: Btw I distinctly remember a fourth time, I think during seahawks steelers superbowl and I even remember seeing it on the internet later. I will find it.

Man…its imperative that they get help at LB and D Line…for the jets to take the next step defensively they have to be able to rush the passer w/o blitzing. They are getting very old in those areas and teams starting wiseing up to their blitzing ways and the Jets got exposed many times. I also think drafting a receiver is also necessary with the possibility of losing 2 receivers (B. Smith, Homes and Edwards are FAs)

Im confident in the O line, RB and obviously QB…ironically IMO their D was disappointing this year and was exposed, signing David Harris is a must, getting younger is a must, and getting a pass rush is a must. Where they are drafting however I dont see them getting any real pass rushing gem.

Eli B, you make valid points and Madden does know the game but I just don’t like the guy. He used to be way more hyper which drove me nuts but everybody else loved to listen to him go off so what do I know lol, he’s rich, i’m not.

Nice Avi Steely lol.

It’s my tribute to Black History Month.

I guess more on topic, it could also be a salute to Polamalu.

Apparently they have turned the indoor thermostat on “high” at the Cowboys Stadium in hopes that it will melt the ice and snow off of the roof in time for the Super Bowl.

Doesn’t seem like the most logical/efficient strategy…

^ Yea somebody is going to regret that decision. Many people were injured and one critical. By falling ice, its like something out of a movie.
