Their were times this yr when the def. had to win games for the Jets. I don’t think it’s all on Sanchez. They have a great offensive line, a great running game too. They need a play caller that will use their strengths. I’d drop Schitty & promote Callahan. What he’s done w/that O’line is pretty damn remarkable.
again i hate the jets… but i think they had a solid squad this year… i look for sanchez to mature more into next year… and despite what some pundits say he makes the clutch play when it counts… some issues i saw were the pass rush and the running game (which i think need to be built through the draft)…
the hired gun approach worked for the most part i mean the jets were better than 28 other teams this year and got to the AFC championship game for the second year in a row but in the long run they are gonna have to build through the draft… and in getting to the afc champ game they beat the colts and the pats to get there which is a huge accomplishment in itself…
i think the WR and the secondary as well as qb is pretty much solid… the lb’s are also solid all around the biggest thing is working on the trench players… stopgaps aren’t gonna cut it anymore…
and welcome to my world of “there’s always next year”… with the phins this has become our war-cry… lol

ouch…thats a backhanded compliment lol. [1]
Wasn’t meant to be at all, I’m just saying that Sanchez is the one that’s going to have to lead them to the promise land, and I’d only say that if I think he’s capable of it down the road.
LT and Greene were pretty quite when things really mattered, unlike Mendenhall when Big Ben was failing, which is why I’m leaning so hard on Sanchez having to be the one that plays perfectly.
Just a thought, like I said I’ll definitely be paying attention to what he does next year. He’ll definitely be more a lot more fun than watching the 49ers QB situation…

I finally did here from them…they said they had a great time. They also said that the Steeler fans were awesome and treated them great. It was good to hear. They did get into some altercation with a group of Steeler fans who were taking big time objection to them being there, and acting like assholes, another group of steeler fans went up to them and basically said thats not how Steeler fans are and act. They then invited them to their tailgate. So all in all my buddies have a lot of respect for the fans in Pitt.
with that being said…LETS GO STILLERS!
I know I have a jerome bettis jersey somewhere
That’s good to hear. I’ve never seen anyone mistreat a visiting fan before, at least not in a mean-spirited way.

What’s the deal with this guy, on paper he had an awesome supporting cast. Not that they could all get along, but how could he have such a bad year with those weapons. I didn’t see much of them so don’t know how good their line was, and he goes against Baltimore and Pitt 2x each. He doesn’t seem to be the same since that leg injury a few years back. Think he’ll retire like he said or tough it out?
Palmer is a crybaby. He’s not a leader and never has been.

agree. How many more bad seasons with a decent team does he need before the telly stops acting like hes an elite quarterback. He WAS one, at USC. In the NFl, he had a couple nice years then started having a pick to td raTio closer to Jon Kitna than any elite qb.

Thats brutal lol… but accurate. He says he gets on Chads case because he expects perfection like it’s a compliment but when he fucks up it’s just a bad throw no big deal. I also think his elbow is shot. Bum knee(Kimo!) then an elbow injury right in his prime that’s got to set you back.
Besides, that franchize is cursed and Palmer knows it. I’d be floored if the Brown family traded him.
Palmer to the Niners WC, yay or nay?

Like you said, I really don’t see Brown letting Palmer go. Even if he did, I wouldn’t want the 49ers to give up a high round pick for a player that’s done nothing but get injured in the past couple years.
If we could get him for a 3rd round pick, I wouldn’t complain, but other than that no thank you. I just can’t wait to see who Harbaugh picks as his young project QB.
Surely he can’t be serious. He’s definitely in good shape but come on. That would be impressive if that 40 time is legit.
I didnt click, but I assume this is regarding one Mr. Herschel Walker. It’s the third personality talking.

Maybe the Vikes should sign him and trade him to the Cowboys for like 8 draft picks.

I would love to have seen the look on Jimmy Johnson’s face when he got the news the Vikings agreed to his outragous demands lol.
Here’s a wiki link to the details of the trade.

or Jamarcus Russel?
Why not both!!
Wow about Fisher but the writing was on the wall. He going to sit our a year now, or go for a DC job somewhere?
Jets’s Issues:
-Lack of Pass Rush
-Consistency of Running Game
-QB’s Experience
-Safety Depth
As for Jeff Fisher, he’s a great coach and will find a team in no time. Titans are going downhill, which blows.
Steelers are gonna kick the shit out of the Packers and they’ll be 7 time champions.
