NFL 2010 X 3

Well happy St Thanksgivings all you guys. Is it true he is the patron Saint of telling people to give their thanks elsewhere?

I enjoyed the Pats/Lions game, deff a good game

I can’t believe the Cowboys shat their pants, I was really pulling for them

As a Pats fan, I’m pulling for the Bengals, but I feel dirty for rooting for Ochocinco and T.O. shudders

Happy Thanksgiving fellas!! I’m in NY visiting the gf family. Scary!!

Beans what did I tell you, the Patriots are the best team in the AFC. They will fuck up the Jets so bad the next time they play them Boomer and the other half-brained analysts on ESPN, CBS and the NFL Network won’t know what to say. Apparently the Jets have been titled the “least flawed team in the NFL” but anyone that watches them play really knows that they are most overrated team in the NFL.

The Jets dominated the patriots when they played them this season idiot. O and the Jets also beat Cleveland, who beat the patriots as well. They didn’t beat the Patriots, they demolished them, 34-14 I believe. The browns are 2-8. The Jets beat the Browns. I rather my team beat a bad team ugly and win then just get straight blown out by them. Who is the real overrated team? KId back your posts up better nut hugger.

Do you even watch football? If you do you’ll have noticed this has been a strange season by all regards, you have to look at how each team is playing and their potential. Fact is both Patriot losses were one off. More over the Jets don’t have a pass rusher which means Brady will find touchdowns no matter how good the Jet CBs are. Belichick will review that loss in detail if he hasn’t already and he’ll formulate a plan. The Jets don’t really have an offense so if the Patriots don’t turn the ball over and play smart they will coast the Jets. The Patriot defense is a work in progress and they are improving but should be enough to minimize Sanchez to Holmes which is 75% of the Jet’s O.

Why don’t you two just be men about it and bet?

an old fashioned duel would also be applauded.

We shall see what happens on gameday. All there is too it. I wouldn’t call the Jets overrated by any stretch though.

Put your money where your mouth is then, don’t wimp out on him. (or at least bet control of the other persons avatar for a week).

Broncos coaches just got fined $100K for taping the 49ers walk through’s before their game in London.

Do they really think their going to find some crazy secret that they can’t see by watching normal game film? I guess I could see it helping for a play or two, but do you think the benefit is worth the risk? To top it off they lost the game anyways.

Gentlemen,

If you can’t refrain from acting like juveniles and tossing around stupid personal insults, find a different thread to troll.

This is the kind of bullshit we have avoided for 2,200 posts or so, and we aren’t about to let it start now.

So grow up or GTFO

Gotta love it, Jets overrated. Did anyone hear Fuckhead Joe Theisman basically rip the Jets to shreds during the whole telecast, local sports radio is always erring on the negative with the jets. It could be said that the pats are overrated and simply given a reprieve on how uneven they have been playing. Lets get something straight the Jets offense is certainly more balanced than the pats, the pats offense is and ONLY is Brady (and yes I am admitting as a Jet fan that he is the best QB in the nfl and maybe when its all said and done the best ever) The pats are doing it with 2 people Brady and their coach…PERIOD. While welker has been vg as of late he has had and underwhelming season, the rest of their receiving corp is interchangeable as is there running game…Law office and woodhead while having decent years is not something that strikes fear into opponents.

The only area where the pats have a significant edge is QB…thats it! The Jets personnell wise are better at every position…where, other than QB will you take the pats players, certainly not the corners, oline, rbs, or WR.

However being a sensible football fan, there is no dominant team in the AFC, you could say the Pats and wouldnt be wrong (because brady and bellicheck are that good) you wouldnt be wrong in saying the Jets (and yes there as balanced as you get on offense and defense) or even the Ravens.

The fact is as all these teams have shown weakness in there games, the Jets and Pats included.

Will the Pats win next week, I would have to say if I was a betting man (which I am, and a very bad one) yes they will. Im a jet fan and I understand that they have been playing with fire the past few weeks, but one game does not a season make as we will be tied in the division with both have the same division record (i think)

Agreed, and who has beaten who, or how is fucking irrelevant. Any given Sunday this year, any team can beat any other team.

Fact is, Jets are the best team in the NFL on paper, and have backed it up on the field this year quite well. You don’t get style points, and I don’t agree with the ‘playing with fire’ comment. I feel like they are just playing well, and coming together as a team when it counts. Other teams are getting up to play them, and the Jets are finding ways to win.

The Pats have a soft “bend but don’t break” defense, that somehow stopped Baltimore, Pittsburgh and Indy; it’s a shaky unit that on paper is blown away by the Jets… Their Offense is much better unit than Matty gives them credit for, but on paper are worse than the Jets. So yeah, are the Jets better? Yeah, because they won the head-to-head matchup… Other than that, the best team in the league is the team that wins the Bowl, end of story. Who’s on your roster or who is your coach won’t mean shit if you don’t bring home the trophy.

Because the Jets are slamming the door on their wins, doesn’t mean they aren’t the best team in the NFL. I think the Jets will have their hands full next week. Patz are like 28 straight wins at home. But let us not forget, the Jets are 8-0 on the rd.

Brady will have his opportunities if the Jets don’t get pass rush on him. Coulda sworn that was the reason we brought in Taylor. But if you don’t think Rex isn’t mixing some high octane blitz potion, you’d be dead wrong. My concern w/the Patz is the run game, the slot receiver. & that weasel TE they have. I’ve no doubt Branch & whoever the starting WR is they will be shut down.

As for the Jets, I know they ran for 171 the other night, but they just aren’t consistent in sticking w/the run. Last yr it was ground & pound all yr. This yr they’ve opened it up & bit & that makes me a bit nervous w/Sanchez. We saw the other night at times he can get a little loosey.

Anyhow I still think the Jets will win next week, but would not be shocked if they don’t.

Game Day. Im back home and ready to settle in to watch some ball today. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving I know I did.

Yeah it was good times. Tons of “cardio” hiking miles and miles with the dogs, good food, family and 3-0 on the Thursday games. Got the Jets at -9, I was nervous as hell for awhile.

Who put the 9ers on Monday night, lol? worst game evah

^ WC pulled some strings. I had dropped 25 pounds just so I could over eat for 2 days, it was fucking great.

“Stats are for losers”
