NFL 2010 X 3

^ Again what I have been saying all year, this is not a year where there is a totally dominant team. It is all week to week, going into the last 2 weeks of the year and today only one NFC team has clinched playoff birth. Only 2 AFC teams clinched, when was the last time this has happened this deep into a season. The playoffs are going to wild this year.

Report I heard on WFAN:

Cowher is coming back next year and his choices are in order of where he would most like to go…

Giants, Texans and Miami. Basically what I have been saying all along.

NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. But I want him in Dallas. :frowning: Matty you just ruined my day.

I wanted the pats to lose bad, but what transcends hate for a team is watching a great and unusual play…I dont care what uniform that guy was wearing but I wanted that PAT O lineman to score! That was awesome

Yeah bro, actually proximity wise he will be close to you as hell probably go to Houston, even with the heartbreaking loss I still think the Giants will make it to the NFC championship game. You cant fire Coughlin, the only way he comes to NY is if coughlin calls it quits. Which when I think about it is a possibility since he is 172 years old.

Yea he looked like an overgrown pewee football player the way he was carrying the football. That was awesome as a former offensive lineman I was laughing and yelling for him to run.

Did u see the stiff arm I loved it!

Brady said he had never seen anything that slow in his life.

Well my father in law will be on cloud 9 if he comes to Houston. So I could be happy since I kind of adopted the Texans as my AFC team and living in Houston I felt obligated.

Coughlin will be the coach for at least 2 more years in my opinion, he has kept them in the thick of it this year. No team has looked outstanding every week. I will say he may shuffle some coaches in the off season.

Okay the stiff arm is funny but the Brady quote, Brady doesnt have speed himself.

Congrats on the Jets win, watched some of that game, looks like they finally put together a good game plan.

You know there are people who actually think Vrabel is a TE who only scored TD’s. It is shit like this play last night along with the no star mentality that makes them so hard to hate.

Come to think of it, thats when I started disliking them severely, is when after years of preaching how there are no superstars and doing players like they did seymour and Branch, they pay and condone Tom Brady acting like a preening douche, all in the name of building his “personal franchise”.

Nobody is bigger than the team (except for that guy)

& for you clowns posting the patz are weak now, are complete idiots. [/quote]

Weak? No.

Do they have weaknesses? Yes.

Did a top flight D handle the Pats O? For 45 mins.

Did the pats D let a not so good running team run all over them? Yes.

Like BB said, if they keep playing like that, their season will be a short one.

Just chiming in with my bi-weekly thoughts. Been traveling so I missed the Jets/Fins game (thankfully) but caught up this week.

Jets played pretty well, defense wasn’t outstanding but overall a pretty nice win against a very tough team. I’ll echo some above thoughts and just mention that if Troy P is in the game, things change and the Jets probably lose.

Would have liked to see the Pats lose, if only because I love Cinderella stories and it would have been cool to see a back-up QB take down Brady. Overall, though, Pats aren’t quite as strong as they seemed, but still one of the best in the league.

Seeing that O-lineman run was a highlight.

Vick is the man. Giants fans, rough one, 'specially at home. No hate, that sucks. Hope you guys get over it and stuff the Pack next week.

RE: the Clarke hit–looks like the got called for leading with his head. The guys on NFL radio keep talking about the execution over the result all season, so this looks like one of those situations.

Curious about outdoor play in Minnesota tonight.

The Pats had the ball for 19 minutes and still scored 31…I hate that lol.

Beans I don’t know why guys(actally one) are getting on you for being pessimistic. I’m the same way, the second I gloat about my team they will get trounced and then I look like a homer windbag. The Steelers should, I repeat should crush the Panthers thursday but I will be worried they won’t big time, I don’t care if they clinched on not. I look to the gloomy side so the fall won’t be so far if they do lose. I don’t know how that can be seen as being a shitty fan. I support my team 100% , I’m just not obnoxious about it. I’ll add that folks who are I have no problem with either, It inspires colorfull debate.

FTR, I feel the Chargers are the scariest team in the AFC right now, not the Pats. However it looks like they will have to travel to the eastcoast where it is cold and we all know what that means.

Have to agree, Vikes are not a cold weather team they are built for speed in a dome.

I guess what I’m saying is that some posts started calling for a dirt nap. I think the Patz will be ok & the last 2 games for them should be handled. & just like the Jets, one game does not make you or break you.

I still think the last 2 weeks took its toll on them. It’s hard to get up week in & week out. Plus they thought Flynn was a gimme & maybe didn’t focus as hard as they should of.

Add in not enough parking, not enough seats, and no beer…

Shit show

I hope it’s just a bump in the road, and a reminder to a bunch of young guys who have been reading their own clippings, just how quick you can fall from grace. You are only as good as your last game.

They are a good team, very good. I’m just not ready to call them great yet, and great teams win the tee shirt games. They are beat up on the D-Line too, that hurt a lot last night. There were a couple calls that coulda/woulda/shoulda… But Great teams play well enough to overcome shitty officating.

and

Thanks BJB. We think alike.

Damn didnt know Minny was a dry campus, yea there are going to be some pissed off people. Think this will be enough for the state and owner to finally get a new stadium?

This whole concept of who is or isn’t a “shitty fan” is stupid from jump.

I’m 31 years old.

The last time anything like that, or that type of name calling was relevant to my, or anyone I know’s, life was middle school.

Most times people have differing opinions. As adults, most of us just converse about them, not call each other names. Trust me, when me and the boyz get together to watch a game, we have these conversations a lot. It is a lot more fun to play like any of us have a clue and go back and forth, than simply cheer on with no thought. And get this, some people actually appreciate being able to see a team from the outside, somewhat objective POV.

The NFL guy(s) I’ve talked to really opened my eyes to how silly some fans really are.

Anywho.
