I’d say McNabb can kiss any shot at the HOF goodbye. How could this happen? I always liked watching McNabb play. Especially when he was a scrambler. He talks to the media and hes always poised, always has an answer but but he got benched a few times in Philly, he got sent packing and hes getting benched for Rex fucking Grossman. This screams to me that behind the savvy media front he must just not be preparing enough with film. That would explain the inconsistency with one week looking like the best QB in the league (philly days), next week looking foolish.
Shanahan is ripping that team apart at the seams.
Maybe Shanny is a racist?
haha, hahahahah.

Nope, Donny isn’t that good. The Eagles were good, with a good coach. He wasn’t, nor is he.
This is fandom Beans. Hard to see things from the outside and understand why they do things. Shanny has to flip this team, they have not won with the current roster. To do that takes time, Shanny is just stop gaping things until he can make it his own. He has three games left, no chance for the playoffs and he knows what he has in McNabb. Maybe he really wants to see if the Rexanator is worth taking the reigns for a few years to groom his franchize QB he will draft?
At this point the fans have to trust the coach and ride out the dreaded rebuilding faze. Wonder if Haynsworth will be part of it lol.

I heard there was talk of him going to the Steelers as a replacement for Kiesel.

So when do they trade McNabb to the Vikes?

For Randman

^ read it already ;0

Yes but did you keep the picture?

Hahahahahaha!!! No, I guess I didn’t.

 Man what kind of fan are you. When I saw it I thought of Iron Drawf on here I wonder if he has wondered into the football realm.

I’m going to go out on a limb and say the Jets beat the Steelers because Polamalu is most likely out of the game. I remember last year when he got hurt, their defense just wasn’t the same.

^STFU! Jinxster.

Help me out Beans, you putting money on the Steelers?

With Da Perm and Miller out, it’s really, really hard not to take the points.

And as funny as it seems I feel like this is Sanchez’s make-or-break week. If he plays well, he shuts everyone up and all the sports writers can go back to talking about the Jets. If he doesn’t, he might just flush his entire career. If he can’t perform under pressure, then no one will want him leading their team.

I would normally stay away from this game, because who fucking knows what kind of team the jets are right now? Both teams have dogged me on the spread all year…

Let me sleep on it.

I miss Steel Nation, he was a good poster.

^ If Rex and baby shotty are smart they will make damn sure and establish the running game. The jets are a play action pass and run team, I think they have fucked up the last two weeks and got away from it. NOW the problem truely is does LT have anything left in the tank and does Shonn Green finally let his nuts drop and run like a man? They do that they have a shot now that Poly is out for the Steelers.

No, this makes perfect sense. And I think you are right to a degree. I think Shanski knows that Grossman blows worse than Donny, but you are right, he wants to see the dynamic I guess.

Thing is, I’m sure he looks around to teams like the Colts, Pats, and Chargers. Two of thsoe teams have been beat up and missing a ton of their studs, and the Pats are super young and in an admitted rebuilding year. All 3 are playoff contenders. Shanny knows with a stud QB and a stud OL he can be competitive while rebuilding with good coaching. BUT, he has to get rid of the bums and bring in guys that will buy into his system, so yeah JBJ, Fatsworth is gone.

Look at the Pats last year (sorry to keep using them as examples). By the end of the year everyone was talking about how Billy had lost his touch, he lost the lockerroom, guys weren’t buying in. They pointed to other great coaches that fell off before retirement. So BB cleaned out his coaching and his lockerroom. Anyone that didn’t buy in, was gonezo, Springs, Thomas, Malrooney, Moss all gone. Couple other duds too.

Now with a team full of believers, guys that can play their role, listen like a rookie and learn… They are winning in a rebuilding year. The youth of the D still worries me in the playoffs, but each week they seem to be getting better and better, so like I said 2 threads ago… What ever happens this year with that D, they should be top 5 within a year or two.

Anywho, that is what I’m saying. Shanny needs to make that team his in order to win.

Yea I agree about both, been thinking about the Pats deal.

Few years ago in the SB how did they get beat? Pressure cause Brady sat in the pocket waiting for Moss to get open. It took him a few years to slowly flip what he needed. Now his Offense is what Short passing game and west coast style. Now there is no time to get to Brady cause he has the ball out so quick. Now DC’s will have to figure out another way to get after him and disrupt. You know there O is looking a lot like the Saints O.

The Saints and the Pats seem like very similar teams to be honest. Questionable but good enough D and stud O.

I wouldn’t want to play an Offense like that in the SB.

The Moss factor fucked with Brady, and he deserves an honorary degree in psychology for keeping Moss from blowing up that team, T.O. style. But the Pats OL is and has been above average, maybe even stud worth. I’m too lazy to look up sack numbers, but they can block. But you are right.

The 18-1 loss in the SB was fated too. I mean when Manning became a robot and broke that sack, and whatshisface caught the ball with his helmet I knew it was over. Moss or no Moss, I don’t give a shit who was on the field, when shit like that happens you know something upstairs wants the giants to win.

But yeah… I can’t fucking believe I’m going to say this but: getting rid of Moss made that O better. A lot of people were saying that would happen when the trade wad fresh, and I was not one of them. I figured teams would double Welker, put 8 in the box and this team was done. I’m happy to admit I was wrong, and addition by subtraction actually worked in this case.

Well I am not a stats guy this isnt baseball, but Moss was not a factor this year when he was there. They were changing the offense period and that is what makes Bill so damn smart. He fixed the O line, flipped the defense and got rid of his “nonfactor” WR. Oh and I hate him  cause I would be fucking through the roof dance in the yard happy if he was the Cowboys coach.

Yeah, dude is a good coach.

Like I said before, a lot of people started questioning him by the end of last year. 4th and 2, snowgate, the home town ass kicking in the playoffs… Now everyone is back on his jock, “Da Patz is da best to evah play da gamez” pink helmets too. We’ve seen it here, over and over. Spoiled obnoxious Boston fans. (SteelyD knows what I’m talking about. He, like I have to live it in real life too, not just on the interwebs. Shit is annoying as hell.)

There is nothing like going to a Sox game in the middle of June, against a last place team, and have the whole stadium rocking like it’s game seven of the playoffs in a tense moment. Nothing can compare to that passion. Unfortunately, they have priced that kid of enthusiasm out of Da Razor, and Pats games aren’t as insane as they should be. Shit Brady was calling out the fans earlier this year. That place can be a dead zone… The hardcore blue collar fan is slowly being priced out of being able to afford going to the game.

Sadly I have to agree, tried to talk the wife into going to the Houston/Cowboys game here at Reliant stadium. We had just bought our house so money was a little tight, but we could have done it. After seeing ticket prices and parking she said so maybe in 4 years when the kids our out of the house.

Its okay I dont like a lot of people anyway, rather watch in my living room.

I can’t for the life of me remember what former coach said it, but when they were talking about the Jets close call wins this year he said something along the lines of: Any team in this league can beat any other team. You don’t get style points in the NFL. All that matters is wins, and they won.

I mean in 20 years people will look back at the Lions and the Bills and think: Damn they sucked balls. When in reality they were much better than their record. There is a handful of teams like that this year.

You’ve been saying it for 3 threads now, and you’re right, any team can win any week.
