Nope he will be the next Carolina coach, he will want to be near his kids since his wife has died.

I really think no matter what happens this year Tom Coughlin will retire or be let go (if they have an awful end to the year) and Cowher will be the next Jint coach

I dont think Cowher wants that kind of spot light, and Coughlin has done a good job working in that market. How old is he now?

Like 94… Dude spits dust FFS.
Couhglin is close to 120 years old…im telling you bro, hes gonna be in the red white and blue. There were rumors about this early in the year…I think its a good spot for him.

I really respect Coughlin. He has got to know the NFL football rules better than any coach in the league. He has the highest red flag challenge success ratio in the league. Every time I watch him throw one I’m thinking to myself that he’s definitely going to get it and typically does.
lol beat me to it beans
^ Both you and Beans crack me up. Coaching the big Market teams is fucking hard to do, media pressure is intense. He is probably like 50 and just coaching has made him look old. Unless he wins the SB they are always trying to fire his ass.

x2…talk about one of the most underrated coaches in NFL history. He doesent get the attention or respect he deserves from the NY media because he doesent kiss anybodies ass, players included.
IMO borderline HOF

Like Matty said he is a ballbuster and a straight shooter. Ran Tiki out of town from what I understand. I don’t see Cowher any different. Neither are Wade, lol.
His daughter married one of the O lineman.
The guy I know has never had anything bad to say about TC. But a superbowl ring will help with all perceptions.
he already has one beans…im sure you remember. The guy was amazing with Jacksonville taking them to two afc titles as an upstart org.
I think its David Diehl who married his daughter.

That’s what I’m saying. Pre-ring, not many players would have pulled him out from on coming traffic. The ring year I guess he changed his approach and now guys love him.
Yeah he changed his attitude…I remember he had a run in with Strahan a few years back because he didnt arrive 5 minutes EARLY to a meeting.
Here’s the bottom-line. The most successful coaches in the NFL are typically over-achieving drivers that have a no bullshit approach to the game and their players. Belichick, Cowher, Parcells, and though not quite as much success yet as the others mentioned…Coughlin.
And then you have Wade Phillips…
I rest my case.
As an NFL coach, I don’t need to be liked, just respected…
Tony Dungy, Barry Switzer

Barry Switzer piggy backed off Jimmy Johnson.
Tony Dungy. I can never speak ill of that man.

I said typically. Not all.
^ So you do agree there is no 100% in football.

You know when players point to the sky when they make a play? He, and pretty much he alone, I believe actually has god on his side when it comes to the football field.
Even though him bagging on Rex for swearing was obnoxious, I can’t help but route for the dude.
He would have won in Tampa if he had a O coordinator too.

Man I have had one of those days and just did this quick off top of my head. However if I had some time and thought I could find more than just these two. My point is you cannot go through and business and say this is how you do things 100% of the time. You are dealing with the human factor in footbal also.
