right now? Yup… Already did my morning cardio, and I wrap up in this weather like the kid from a Christmas story so I still get a sweat going.

Add in Underarmor boxers, and my ass is stank right now.

4-8 that is my world I live in.
I’m right there with you on that world, just living in a different country (49erville).
The one good thing you guys have going for you is your teams under performed this year… Some better coaching, and one or two players and you guys are playoff bound.

(Well maybe the Cowboys need a bit more, their division is tough…)
Our offense is not the problem, its our D. I have been bitching for the last few years about their inability to get off the field on 3rd down. There red zone defense is always at the bottom of the league and there secondary can not man cover for shit.
Thsi sounds just like the Pats this year, except the appear to be coming together a bit. They have stopped a couple 3rd downs and are starting to cover better, well McCordy has, lol.

But they are pretty good at bending, but not breaking.

See I cant stand that, I would rather get beat on big plays instead of the constant moving down the field hold them to only a field goal BS. Maybe its just the reality of the Offensive ability in the NFL. I want more 3 and outs and stop the fucking run ability. Dallas has been torched for many years on the ground and only keep the stats legit because of the ability for the Dallas offense to score. Teams are most of the time trying to catch up. Bring on Cowher please JJ do it, do it.

I’m getting very excited for Monday night. I’ll be sure to take lots of cell phone pictures.

I hear that, mainly because the way things are now I have a fucking heart attack for 3 hours every sunday…

It’s like watching Sox/Yankees once a week.

That shit ages a man.

You think Andre Johnson will get shut down? I’m worried that the combo of his ankle and the Ravens D will servilely hamper his play.

Yes sir, basically my family will not call me when Dallas loses or during the game. I am sitting there sweating in a 70 degree house. Maybe it increases T levels, but I know someday that is how I will die is having a fucking heart attack watching the Boys play another NFC east team. Oh well only one way better to die.

Eating appropriately aged extra sharp cheddar cheese?
doogie wrote:

Thanks Doogie! I don’t think Okoye was expecting to come out on the losing end on that one, it’s like he figured he was just going to run over him like all the rest. Atwater was awesome.

I’m the opposite DJ, I get freezing cold. I need to wear long johns under track pants(Steeler track pants of course) for playoff games lol…weird.

Too much bromance for me I guess.

I’ll just say before I leave that in my limited time watching american football (3 years) the thing I have noticed the most is how important the QB position is. An elite QB has a good chance to beat any kind of defense on any given sunday. I was a huge Baltimore fan 2 years ago and I loved their D but the more I watched the more their inconsistent offense started to bug me. The QB position is so important its no wonder the last 3-4 year SB winners have won because of their ability to get it done through the air. Wasn’t it Jaws who says every monday night (tuesday afternoon for me) the NFL is a QB’s league?

Cheers
Your quote here sums up what real football fans dislike. You have not followed a team for years and enjoy their highs and get pissed at their lows. You hop from team to team probably most of the ones who are winning. Say what you want about the guys in this thread, but we know football and our team. Redstarr is not from here but he has picked a team and stuck with them. And Jaws is a fucking idiot.
^This is correct. I’ve been a fan since 73’ and have never wavered, not even during the Mark Malone years lol…dark times indeed.

What gettnitdone says makes sense regarding the SB and QB’s however Roethlisberger won his first SB with a 33.6 QB rating or some such. He was awfull but he made enough plays to help them win.

I’m looking foward to seeing the pics man. Hope your team wins for you and I hate the ratbirds.

I’m the distinguished elder statesman of this thread young man, also the weakest but I bet I’m the best looking lol…ZING ZAM!

Locks of the week:

St Lou getting 9.5
Cinci getting 9.5
SD losing 6.5

The football gods must not want Favre’s steak to die. The roof on the Metrodome collapsed…

That’s nuts about the dome- but honestly, 20inches of snow did it in? How do you not plan ahead for 20inches in Minnesota? That’s not out of the question in VA- why would you not prepare for something more there? It sounds like Ziggy really does want to move the team.

I think the Chi-Pats game will be pretty sweet- doubt they playing it here, might have to make a bar trip.

I’m predicting a loss by the Skins, and a last place in the division again. This team has lost any and all “fire” they had. I’m almost excited to see us get stomped by the Giants come Jan 2.

Chi-Pats should be close, if Chi doesn’t lose their nutsack. Both teams can handle playing the elements, and it’s snowing pretty good outside… should be one fun December game!

Just saw the Fox NFL view of the roof giving in. That was intense.

Dude, I’m never, EVER going in a cold weather dome stadium, EVER in my life.

Fuck dieing trapped in a giant tuna can with 64k other people trampling my lifeless body…

That was cool to watch! They’re playing in Detroit tomorrow at 7 so does that mean two Monday Night Football games?
