The three examples you gave of terrorism on US soil are flawed. If you think anyone has forgotten about home grown extremists like McVeigh, you’re wrong. I asure you there is plenty of examination of those groups taking place. The Unibomber was an isolated nut and the DC Sniper’s were common criminals…they don’t fit the definition of terrorists because there was no political motivation in their crimes…they wanted ransom money.
So, In your mind terrorists have to have political motivation and criminals don’t, even though the tactics are exactly the same. Spoken like someone who didn’t live through the events. I live in the area where Snipers struck. One of the victims was 5 miles from my house. There was terror, fear, curfews, roadblocks etc. The police even called it terrorist-type attacks. The money motivation didn’t show up until they were almost caught.
No, actually it comes from growing up in an area where getting guns was as easy as getting milk from the store. But your little sheltered punk ass wouldn’t know anything about that.
You mean like living in an environment where circumstances force you into crappy life conditions and the politics keep you there? Like I said, sheltered little punk.
So, Europe has never had any terror incidents? I think that they might disagree with you. I guess the IRA can rest easy now, they aren’t terrorists.
I didn’t say that the leaders were poor, I said that it would be easy for them to CONVINCE the poor to work with them. Get it right.
Again, my point was who are we to force others to accept our view of democracy? But then again, arrogant, eurocentric, egotistical, white people like you always did believe that everyone is better off when you are in control.
New world order, Hitler would be proud.
Insult and destroy those with a different opinion.
This is quickly going to degenerate into a name calling contest. Ive been called worse things by better people than you. Lets put it this way, calling me “sheltered” is absurd. PM me, if you want.
Your responses were crap, regurgitated liberal garbage or so off the mark, I cant bother to reply to them. I countered all of your nonsense once, I’m not doing it again. Who wants to see this go on forever.
You know where I stand, and I’m pretty sure I know where you stand.

So, after starting the name calling contest, you want to now take the high road, but still can’t resist a parting shot? So I guess my losing family in 9/11 is crap? My posts and replies have nothing to do with “regurgitated liberal garbage”. Personally, if I had the chance to get a hold of each person responsible, I would do far worse to them than Saddam torture chambers ever could. My views have to do with personal tragedy and trying to make sense of the world as it stands now.
By the way, I know where you stand. In a world that taught you to attack people like me, who don’t think like you do, instead of actually talking to them and having a meaniful discussion.
Again, to remind you, you started with insults. Had you not done that, I would have been willing to give you credit for your opinion. Instead, you demonstrated that you can’t handle a different viewpoint.

True, but you started with the name calling, so I guess its about time you recognize that.
You don’t know me well enough to make that judgement. However, your biased statements peppered with insults shows that you can’t handle a different opinion. People like you tend to be very sheltered in their viewpoint. I realize that is a generalization, but it seems to me that’s all you can handle.
PM me, if you want.
So now you are inviting me to talk to you off the board after starting crap with me on the board? I would have been willing to PM you before, if you hadn’t started with the condesending attitude and outright insults. Now, after your attempt to minimize my opinion and downright insulting the tragedy I suffered from 9/11, F-off!
Perhaps I should not have concluded that you are a terrorist sympathizer based only on the content of two posts.
However, believe me when I tell you that the invitation to PM me was not to extend an olive branch, it was to set a few things straight without turning this into a public pissing contest.
I still think much of what you have said is completely wrong and your parts of your response were a complete disgrace. But if it is the case that you suffered a loss on 9-11, I don’t wish to continue arguing with you over it any further and wish you peace.

But, being an optimist, I choose to look at the positive - not the negative.
Well, if that is the that case, good. I, for one, am glad to see something positive in the lower reaches of this thread, which is beginning to resemble the lower reaches of Dante’s Inferno.
Eh, I guess I should have derived from the title that this thread would eventually cause at least one member to want to murder another. It was clear that the issue of second-term predictions (especially when there is such a clear division between Bush and Kerry) would be a rather touchy matter.

No, you shouldn’t have.
I never thought it was an olive branch. I thought that it was coward move for starting a public pissing match and then wanting to clarify yourself in private. If you can insult me in public, then clarify yourself in public as well.
Gee, another insult. What a surprise. An opinion is neither right nor wrong, it just is. Only facts are right or wrong. But from your responses, you seemed to not get that. I expressed my some things that I was thinking about, and you decided to attack me using the Republican spin machine’s regurgitated information. Just to let you know, I am a registered Republican and an African-American. I have access to all the same information. I just don’t tow the party line with everyone else. Which means I take a lot of shit from many different sides. The Republican party has turned into a group of people that don’t want to think anymore. They just accept that the leadership is right. It has become a sham of party.
You know, you might have been actually sincere with this sentiment. If you were, I appreciate it. However, It would be very hard for anybody to accept that after the attacks you laid my way.
