The forum can be used the same way as Reader Mail. If you want something answered, just write, “Question for TC,” or “Question for Chad Waterbury” and we’ll answer it.
Or, if you want to, start a thread called “Reader Mail” and post your questions and/or comments on that thread.

No it can’t.
What makes a reader mail column different (and, IMO, better) is the editorial involvement and subjective screening. A well-managed reader mail column puts a sensible question with a sensible answer every time, and the answer tends to come from someone who knows what he’s saying… instead of just any random reader who happens to come along.
And don’t forget the weird ass question of the week with the snappy (TC) answer.
Let’s not forget the booby pics not-so-cleverly disguised as useful information.
kligor and scottl have it right weird ass question of the week and cleverly placed gratuitous babe shots always made my week.
