So,
3 months ago I stopped my AI ( was taking .25 2x/week) cause my E2 crashed to below 5,
then after a month(2 months ago) my numbers were:Testosterone, Serum 618 ng/dL (264-916)
Free Testosterone(Direct) 15.2 pg/mL ( 7.2-24.0)
DHEA-Sulfate 34.7 Low ug/dL (48.9-344.2 CB )
Estradiol 45.7 High pg/mL (7.6-42.6) CB Roche ECLIA methodology
Prostate Specific Ag, Serum 1.4 ng/mL (0.0-4.0 ) CB Roche ECLIA methodology.
So I started back on AI at .1 2x/week( along with my normal HCG 350 2x/week and TestC 30 2x/week.)
Now after about 2 months, I started having painful bumps under my left nipple, with some hand swelling and foot bones popping. I assumed my E2 was getting high causing Gyno, so I got tested in the afternoon anout 28 hours after my last dose series (I take all 3 drugs together) 2x/week
but my E2 was only 13.6 (7.6-64.6)
free T 13.1 (7-24)
Total T 619 ( 264-916)
DHEA 35 (48-344)
I am really confused why I am getting hard nipples with painful nodules and hand/foot swelling if my E2 is not high. Should I trust this lab? I usually test in the am 36 hours after my last evening dose?
Could have sworn my E2 was high, what do you guys think?
I was concerned with your extremity symptoms, especially the popping. I wasnāt sure what to make of your lab results with blood drawn so close to dosing. Figured it best to start from scratch and see where the labs are a trough. Regardless, your test numbers should be higher so close to injections. I understand some are sensitive to E2, and you may be one of them, so I can see why youād want to stay with anastrozole. Iād at least up the test.
Thanks,
I reduced my testosterone dosage from Test C 50 twice a week to 30, because my HCT got up to 53. Also it felt like my chest/heart was racing. I have had four blood clots in the past and donāt want to risk having more clots and donāt want to give blood that frequently.
I will recheck my labs in a couple wks and see if my E2 is ok.
Act.was actually 53.8.
Platelets about 193.
I really am trying to grey this fine tuned,
But when my E2 gets high I get gyno and bitchy, if it gets low I get tired and flat feeling.
Just worried that I got html when E2 was 15, if it actually was that number.
I think I am getting my regimen better tuned.
Changed my doses to:
TestC 40 SubQ 2x / week Sunday am and Wed eve
HCG 333u 2x / week Sun/Wed
Amidex .15 mg 2x/week Sun/Wed
Got labs from Labcore at 8 am Friday last week:
Total Test 841
Free T 18.3
DHEA 34 - low
Estradiol 28 (7-42)
Estradiol Sensitive 16 (8-35)
Vit D 28 -low even after 4 trips to Florida this winter( one last week before test)
I am feeling pretty good. Sleeping well with nighttime erections, Lidido decent, No Gyno, Just some mild fluid retention in ankles/joints.
Energy level is good.
Your sensitive E2 is on the low side, I might expect lower libido than usual, you say yours is decent which suggest youāve experienced better. Another case where the sensitive E2 is showing itās strengths and accuracy.
Iām not a fan of the Roche ECLIA methodology E2 testing as I see it overstate E2 often, I would reduce the AI slightly. You need to add 50mg DHEA daily to your TRT protocol which should increase E2 slightly, if you choose to supplement DHEA, you could keep the AI dosing unchanged. You also need to supplement some Vit D.
So you are trusting the sensitive test more? (Done by liquid chromatography)
What are the downsides of taking DHEA?
I will either decrease my AI slightly or start DHEA. I need to read about the risks/rewards.
I tend to buy vitamins, but donāt stick to taking them. Would be easier to adjust my AI.
I will start Vit D as it has been low in the past.
Feeling pretty good? Iād leave it alone, wouldnāt focus on the numbers without obvious symptoms. LC/MS/MS methodology is known to be inconsistent. Add DHEA and VitD.
