Could we at least agree that the overwhelming majority of soldiers that did die fighting the Nazis were Russian?
And that it is a bit ridiculous if a nation that contributed a whooping 2% of all soldiers killed still pretends that it saved the day?

wow - so bad tactics on the part of the Russians (headlong human wave charges into prepared defensive position) now constitutes actual credit for the Allied victory and not the tons of materials and weapons provided by the Americans . . . man, we should have never shipped the Soviets all of that iron and steel and food and oil and . . we just needed more bodies . . . .
Yep - those wonderful French, English and Canadian troops - who got to Europe how? Who were armed and provision by whom? Who were sustained and provisioned prior to the invasion by what economy?
Yeah, stupid Americans . . . tell you what, since we are so horrible and to avoid any future claim of empire building by America - I’ll do my dead level best to get the American government to pull all of our troops home from all over the world and to stop sending.selling you military equipment just so long as you guys promise to deal with all of your own crisis and issues - ya’ll just deal with the Muslim threat, the Chinese threat, the resurgent Russian threat, and we will sit over here on the other side of the Ocean and wish ya’ll well with that . . . Good luck!

Yeah, you’re right.
He who dies the most gets the most credit for the victory.
No wonder you lost.[/quote]
No, it is apparently those who do not die and leave obnoxious grandchildren who think they are the shit because their grandparents were forced at gunpoint to storm a beach.

Which crisis and issues?

Muslim threat = created by the americans. Chinese threat? What Chinese threat? And if there is such a threat, what have you done to stop it? Russian threat: What did USA do about that?
The main threat is still the American threat. No nations still existing today has killed more innocent people outside of their own borders. But who cares right? A couple of million Vietnamese people, some hundreds of thousand South-Americans, the people in Iraq and Afghanistan and so on. Doesn’t really count does it?
I vote for pulling all our troops home, and playing HALO, that sounds like the winning recipie to me. Plus with our nation playing simulated war games (especially against alians for when they attack) our country will be very prepared to deal with any attackers.
I actually think playing a game like HAOL does have some intrinsic military benefit. Kids who will never pick up a gun in thier life at LEAST, know what one looks like, know what happens when you aim it at someone and pull the trigger, and some of the more dedicated players also know how to work well in a unit. You know not just charging in headfirst guns blazing, but actually positioning your group into steategic locations to have a geographical and tactical advantage.
I just can’t wait till the day google takes over the world and we can do all our warring in VR simulators. That way, you know you can just be like, hey, we can do this in the real world and find out who wins, or we can do it in VR and still find out who wins, but you don’t burn billions of dollars and lose a bunch of your men, we don’t burn even more billions of dollars and lose our men, yet we still see who would have conventionally won the conflict. I’m sure it will never happen but a guy can dream right.
