Hey There, had my labs drawn annually, below our the results. Haven’t started TRT, always wanted to, been trying to eliminate my stubborn midsection fat for over a year through diet, lift 3/wk and have introduced cardio. Any insight here if I should jump to dark side or keep at it natty?
I wouldn’t consider optimizing your hormones for longevity going to the dark side.
Testosterone isn’t evil, even though society demonizes it due to cheating athletes, toxic masculinity and steroid abuse. This is where testosterone gets it’s bad press.
Going dark side would be allowing suboptimal hormone levels in the presents of symptoms to be going to the dark side.
Your Free T isn’t great, healthy Free T is in the 16-20 range. I typically see members complaining of low-T symptoms at the <12 range. Many studies show high testosterone, even slightly over the range to be healthier.
Your estrogen levels mirror that of your Free T level, which is mediocre.
I have a script from my medical provider for T Cyp 200 mg/ml – 0.5 ml IM/SQ twice weekly. Do you think this will increase my Free T and help me Estro levels as well? Or is there another route here?
I’m going to give the opposite advice. These are normal levels. I have had a few friends think TRT was going to give them a ‘boost’ with normal levels and the results was negligible. Probably not worth it until you get older and have further declines in T levels.
