I hope you are doing fine!
Did you have the appointment with the cardiologist?
I hope you are doing fine!
Did you have the appointment with the cardiologist?
Hey man, thank you for checking on me
I’m gonna see a cardiologyst tomorrow
But I have a few questions that make me believe than rather than a heart problem is a hormonal problem, maybe you can help me out.
First one
If it was a heart problem why did the symptoms go away exactly at the time when the ester of the testosterone supposedly leave the body?
Why did the symptoms went away when I ran up and down the stairs the second time it happened?
Why did my heart started beating faster even when it was going back to normal after eating dinner?
Why did the ecg showed nothing even when it was done at its peak and after?
I do believe that something could be wrong with my heart but I also believe that my hormones are not estable since last month I got reckless with timing of injection and diet. Rarely working out too.
I would rule out the pulmonary embolism because I wasn’t coughing nor had a problem with cathing my breath other than the time I went to the ER, I went for 3 mile runs that week and there was no problem with that.
The STEMI didn’t show up on the ecg but
symptoms are relatable but again they went away almost two weeks after last injection.
The symptoms of a STEMI that I experienced
Whole process
Indigestion I was burping A LOT
Rapid heart beat
Dizziness lightheadedness
Pain on the left of my upper abs chest and back
One day
Jaw pain
Shortness of breath
Nausea waking up
No sweating, no restlessness still had energy to run perfectly fine.
I hope to GOD it’s not a heart problem tomorrow I’ll find out whats really going on, wish me the best of luck cause I’m too young for that, and even genetics make it weirder. Haha
One thing I am for sure is that If I continue the treatment I’ll stick to test prop forever, these long esters are a pain in the you know what haha
Unfortunately I dont know the answers to your questions.
Some of your symptoms sound like Roemheld syndrome. When you were able to run for 3 miles this week than thats already a very good sign!
But again whenever there was an event with nausea, shortness of breath combined with pain in the chest and the back and radiating to other areas such as the jaw you want to be careful and get checked. So you are doing the right thing by getting checked out.
Make sure they do a cardiac ultrasound scan tomorrow and most importantly that they determine the ejection fraction of the left ventricle.
And one thing you could ask for is an ecg event recorder. If its episodes of afib they are hard to detect otherwise.
When everything comes back ok than I agree with others to restart TRT with frequent injections and maybe a lower dose to begin with. And stay away from T prop, if you are sensitive to fluctuations in T than prop is not the ester of choice.
All the best for tomorrow! It will turn out fine!
There isnt much info in the english scientific literature. But here two links regarding the Roemheld syndrome
How did it go? Everything ok?
Update
So I went to my doctor, took him thru the whole process, and apparently it’s a gastrocardiac syndrome.
We discussed everything every single side effect did another ecg and a lipid profile, everthing turned out ok, ran on a thread mill for like 10 mins, everthing was good no problem whatsoever. Only that he felt my left side of my belly and said that my organs were putting pressure.
Like i said My heart rate was high but my I still could run 3-4 miles without a single problem.
I also told him that right before that happened Ive had sex with my girl almost right after eating dinner.
I’ve done that a couple times and I regret it later cuz I stomach feels like I just laid down on my back and put a big rock right on my stomach for an hour. The outcome is that I burp a lot and can rarely go to the bathroom.
Also, I chew a lot of gum.
My diet hasnt been as clean as it used to be. Sodas, beer a lot of flour toritillas, pizza, burgers you name it.
So It kinda look like a 2+2 problem
BUT **
I told him that I was on trt
He’s face changed immediately
I told him that side effects usually show up 4 days later, one time they went away after doing HIIT cardio on an empty stomach , but then I injected again 25 mgs and sides came back again. But still have pain on my left side of my back. No as strong as before.
He said that it could be that the testosterone might be rushing things. I’ll explain
Had I been not been on trt the only side effects would have been a lot of gas and a small pinch on my chest instead of fast HR dizziness pain on the middle left side of my back a lot of gas and a small pinch on my chest etc.
He said that my heart was healty that that is only way he sees those side effects can occur with a healthy heart and that I should wait a month at least to recover and to diet properly since Ive put on a lot of weight. Practically more cardio and eat clean. No weights
I might use prop the first couple of weeks after I recover just to be safe.
I really dont think I should see an endo for a second opinion, If i do it will be withing a couple of weeks from now since Its hard to find a good this time of the year.
I really appreciate every single one of your comments lets hope that this is what is causing it I’ll find out in a month, specially you johann77 you are the man, thank you for help and for caring about my health.
I’ll keep you guys posted
I’ll get back to you in a few weeks
Happy to hear that you are well !!
Regarding cardiac-gastric symptoms (Roemheld) you could look into dimeticone or simeticone; both substances reduce gastric/abdominal gas.
Take care!
